I think the abandoned tag is not really one of his main concerns but he already had people here complaining all the time and if his supporters have started doing it as well, it's not surprising that he will try to start releasing some content. It just takes a few people going to his discord and bringing up that topic for the supporters to start asking some questions as well.
The real question is how much content will he release. Because I just went on his patreon and he updates quite often on his patreon with posts, but posting things on his patreon isn't the same as getting content. You can post all you want, but if people aren't getting enough content to at least keep them interested, people are going to go somewhere else.
Now at this point even if DC updates this game later this month, I'm not downloading the update. Because I don't want just 30 minutes of gameplay just for 2 minutes of new content. Updating just to somewhat prove that you are "working" on the game to me is a bigger insult. Because you might as well, just focus on a big update that would make people happier, instead of smaller updates that make people angrier.

When someone says something like that, I always imagine them turning off the PC after the message, grabbing a beer and talking to their friends for four hours about football or some shit. Everyone has hobbies, I believe. But it's really strange to see your comment on the porn game forum.

Why are you shilling this game so hard? What's in it for you? Are you a shareholder of the patreon money or something? Or maybe you just enjoy the pain of waiting an update for more than a year?

I'm shilling no one and nothing. I am not supporting anything. You just don't like what I have to say. I get it. I don't support the developer and I think he's shit at project management and making operational decisions to keep his team on track and goal oriented. But that doesn't mean I have to get my underwear in a bunch and drop a load of bullshit about it in the thread to make me feel better about myself.
I would answer similarly (and HAVE) about developers and/or games that I completely detest because pulling shit out of your ass to make an argument is ridiculous. Look at the data, look at the sources, open the fucking door and look outside once in a while. Just because you don't agree with how something is done doesn't mean you should be a toddler throwing tantrums about it.
I don't pay anything to play this game or any game on this site. I have never contributed to a developer. I plan to never do that. Also, at the same time - this game is free for everyone in the world to play directly from the developer. No one has to pay a fucking penny at all to play this. Anyone who chooses to play a game - in development - must keep in mind that it could take a long time for the game to be considered "retail ready" and should have some modicum of common sense and understanding. His subscribers are not paying to play the game, either. If they think they are --- they are wrong and it is their own fault for thinking they are.
Bitching about it on this site does nothing of any measureable value to move DC off his own beliefs on how he wants to run his own business. His subscribers have a bit more persuasiveness upon DC, because through their subscriptions, he is able to live the life he wants, being the boss he wants, for a job he wants, doing what he wants. And even then, he's already stated he knows there will always be people who will complain - even if he delivers every other month. There will be people who bitch their waifus aren't getting content or not getting content fast enough or good enough or whatever.
The bottom line is - many people here are bitching about it either because they are trolls, or just want to stroke their meat to new content of their favorite characters, or are jealous that a person figured out exactly how to have the life they wished they could have. But instead of admitting that, they need to project their own failures and shortcomings within their bitching here in this thread.
I have no pain for the waiting. If you are in pain from waiting for an update to a fucking adult game that has more content already than most of the games on F95 and is playable to the end of the main story line --- the problem is not with the game or the developer...

There should be no pain. If you are experiencing pain, seek professional attention - or relieve your blue balls with one of the 17,000 other games you can find on this site. 8300 of which are completed, so you never have to be in pain waiting for any update.
you are on this set path where you try to discredit F95 involvment in DC's decision making, it's what you have been doing for past few days and each time someone points to a solid argument against it, instead of adressing it, you just choose to move the goalpost, just like you did with this reply. if F95 matters so little, please explain why DC himself logged onto the website the very same day his game was getting abandoned?
Unlike others who are looking for "gotchas" - I look for viable evidence and I've checked on his account every so often to see what he had said about something in the past. And have seen "last seen: today at 12:04 PM" on his profile (BTW, his account logged in today, too). Or "last seen: yesterday"... no one has ever said his account isn't actively logging in. We could assume he skims through the thread.... maybe he does, maybe he doesn't. Maybe he needs a laugh for the day and enjoys reading the butthurt of those who wish Eve wasn't transgender or why Judith doesn't have content yet.
If you are pointing to the fact that DC's account logged in on the same day as the flag... and that validates your belief that it swayed him... Why would it finally sway him 24 hours before the flag is applied? Why would it not have swayed him 1 week ago when his account logged in, or 1 month ago when his account logged in, or 6 months ago when his account logged in, or 1 year ago when his account logged in, or 18 months ago when his account logged in... I mean, his account regularly logs in and, if by your supposition, what is said here sways him --- what took him 18 months to put out a statement saying they are going to release chunks?
If he thought it was worth placating the mob in this F95 thread to silence them - he could have thrown dildorog a couple of bucks to drop in a few animations into the current version and released another pre-tech update any time in the past 18 months with minimal work and that would have delayed the flag. He's had dildorog's work in his game already, with a previous pretech update, so it wouldn't be hard for him to do.
If you think what happens on F95 sways DarkCookie - and now you know his account logs in regularly... He could have easily just put out one or two new animations (adding a couple of dozen lines of code, including putting a new option button, and a couple of dildorog animations).
But he did not do it.
He didn't do it 2 days ago.
He didn't do it 1 month ago.
He didn't do it 6 months ago.
He didn't do it 1 year ago.
He isn't doing it today or tomorrow or next week to get rid of the flag.
What happens here doesn't mean jack or shit to DC. 8 years ago? SURE! 6 years ago? Probably. 4 years ago? probably not. 2 years ago? Nope. Today? Fucking nope.
The initial Tech Update release will only consist of the main "home" stories (Jenny and Debbie), 1st day at school and minor locations. Despite having the majority of the game converted for the Tech Update, this will be the first "part" of the game to be released publicly.
That's not new content. That's May 2017 content... if that. Just that it will be under the new coding, aspect ratio, posing, etc.

Since I first encountered this game there was no progress to speak of. That was long before Corona. It must be at least 8 years ago.
The game was buggy mess back than and still is.
But patreons keep pumping bucks into his derrière. At peak times $90k. That is per month not per year.
$10M is a very low estimate for what he got from Patreon for doing literally nothing.
Nevertheless this board is flooded with highly concentrated Copium.
It may have been a prospect of a game 10 years ago. Now it's just a sick cult.
