Ren'Py - Doors [v0.1 P3] [The Neuron Project]

Season 2 made me stop supporting the dev on Patreon.

I agree with many of the reviews here regarding the text. There are lots and lots of text and tons of renders with no action, but in my case, I did enjoy them as I usually like to read a good story with adult elements.

But there are several issues within this game:

• The story does get a bit slow at times, and since there are many options that impact the development of the relationship and story between MC and his family, it's very easy to miss some key pieces of context that are referenced later in the game.
• The devs seemed to try to make this game as customizable as possible, at least regarding the kinks. However, at some point whether you choose the options to see them or not, they are shoved into the story and you have to endure them (such as sharing, or NTR).
• At some point, it seems likely that you will end up sharing Gina and the rest of the girls (maybe except Riley) with your father, which while it hasn't happened yet, the story kind of insinuates it's going that way.
• There are several characters that are introduced but then disappear from the story with no further traces, and even the key you get (the main point of the story) changes purpose/behavior with no real development.
• There are quite some contradictions within the character's development. Gina goes from being the town bicycle to turning out to be just being in an FWB relationship with the mom (and in S2 it seems it's also with her dad), Only to then have that relationship with the aunt, hairdresser employee and then to state that she really hasn't as much experience as she might appear (when coworkers insinuate it).
• While the models in season 1 are quite good, they are really rough and even ugly in season 2. In season 1 MC is a sort of young adult, well toned and that is developing from teenage to young adult. In season 2 it is magically converted into something like an ex-convict, thin, and frankly quite dumb. Gina did have an improvement, but Scarlett suffered a major setback and is quite rough.
• When starting season 2, the player is asked for a save from season 1, just to get asked again the MC's name as well as several key decisions made in season 1, making them pointless.

In general, I liked season 1, but so far all of the season 2 releases have gotten worse and worse. I'll leave this game on my return list for a couple of months, hoping it improves.

I tried to like this one, but holy shit is it a slog. There is so much goddamn reading. It's not particularly funny, witty, insightful, or charming, it's just a shitton of reading. The first 1/3 of the game it seems like there was someone proofreading and then after that all bets are off and it's just a smattering deciphering the string of words. I didn't feel anything from the story or the dialogue.

Next there are the facial renders and just the models in general. These vary wildly frame by frame. Also what is with adding fupas to every character? It's pretty weird that every female and some males have that pooch on their belly like they gave birth to 3 kids back to back. This is a weird one, cause the male models tend to look better than the female models, except for the mc who looks like he had brain surgery and shouldn't be out of the icu most of the time. Female models, only Gina and Luna are consistent and even then a single click and they could look like some kinda monster from a horror movie.

There is no real character development you get a few lines of exposition to explain why no one visited him when he was in the hospital (which was dumb) and then it's off to the races with everyone being horny for the mc. I guess after having to read 2 Harry Potter books worth of text it feels like a relief, but there is no pay off. I still don't know who these characters are, or why I should care about them.

Also why is there a sandbox tag? I mean it kinda felt like I was playing a sandbox with how long it took to get nowhere. What is the story? That the mc is horny, because his hormones are not being suppressed anymore, so just excuse the bad writing because horny brain lol?

tl;dr a LOT of reading, with tiny payoffs of rough looking models

unexpectedly for me, this novel eventually became the most anticipated in terms of the release of sequels.
You can see how the author progresses with each update in terms of graphics, characters and plot development.

One of the few games that makes me come back to it update after update. I love the dynamics and the build up the renders are decent too except for the MC who looks sh!t imho.
I am mainly playing this for the father-son storyline it's raunchy and has the potential to explode into an amazing track. I hope dev focuses on it and this story line of father-son doesn't get lost or neglected for other characters.

When you start reading a review of a porn game where it says "great writing" or something similar, that's when you'll realize that game isn't worth it. It currently has two parts and I can assure you that there are barely 5 sex scenes in total.

The kinks it has caught my attention, but the amount of text in this game is maddening. It seems that the dev wanted to compensate for her/his lack of talent with the sex scenes by putting a huge amount of text.

Users must understand the following, it is a site for adult games, mostly pornographic, so there must be a balance between images and text.

End by saying that if someone says that this game is 10/10, they are taking the rest of the users for idiots.

Usually dont leave ratings but the writing and scenes for this game is pretty good. Played mainly for the male characters but I have a high tolerance for things not in my wheelhouse. The female scenes were nice by themselves and the various threesome options even moreso. With how good this looks, Im looking forward to more updates to the characters.

I was pleasantly surprised and I thing this is an underrated game. The pacing is good, it has a coherent story and likeable characters. I think it's very good for people with diverse tastes (optional). I'd say it's pretty unique in that respect when compared to other games of similar quality. Aesthetically, it's quite good, perhaps not top tier, but more than good enough.

Really good non-trivial story, good work on characters (they are not flat as they often are), great visual (for a novel at least). It keeps you interested and waiting for more.
Even some bugs (lite, no crashes or something really bad) and couple of unlogic patterns doesn't make the taste worse.

I really liked this game. Gina's character is amazing and I can see that a lot of thought has been put into the writing. There are however some bugs that should be fixed. Also for a game that was released in 2019 I was honestly expecting quite a bit more content. Overall, keep up the good work!

Pros
+ The story is interesting enough, nothing crazy yet, but is building into something.
+ The protagonist is a cool dude, super horny but still a gentleman and not a creep like other protagonists on this kind of games.
+The promise of trans content
+The promise of bisexual paths!
+ Actual functional family, with loving parents, siblings that don't hate each other (except Roby but you get over that quickly) and the father is not dead and is not a deadbeat/wife beater! Also the grandfather is alive and is a cool character too! There is plenty of love for male characters in the game.
+The MC has a fine dick, nothing too massive.
+Is a slow burn so you actually get to really know the characters before getting down to business making each advance a lot more meaninful

Cons
-The english could be better, is functional, but not perfect.
-Is a slow burn so Is not good if you only are after a quick fap.
-There is a constant tease with certain kinks that are not present in the game yet so if you are looking for anything spicy like bisexual sex or futa, so far there is none, but again the characters are there... Im sure time will fix these issues.
-There are some technical issues. I didn't skip anything but somehow I miss the first encounter with the demon, but reached the second encounter with her and they act like I met her before.
-Not all options are super clear, so you might miss some paths if you choose not to use a WT mod.
-Sometimes the models are a bit off, I mean they sometimes make weird creepy faces.

Overall a pretty enjoyable game I highly recommend it for it's potential.

dear god. it's so boring. it feels like the dev wanted to do something "quality" but it just doesn't work.

sure it stands out from all the bad english games on this site, but it's the other end of the spectrum. endlessly long and complicated text you need to drink 3 coffee to read.

if you like reading books, i guess it might be 5/5 for you although i think the writing is not good, it's just long with correct english.

if you want to play an adult/porn game, then it's 2/5. and since this site is not a book recommendation site but a porn game site, 2/5 is justified imo.

Great writing, interesting characters and plenty of hot sexy scenes - however its very easy to miss a lot of content and close off paths with really minor non-obvious decisions. So to get the best experience out of it, i highly recommend to use the walkthrough mod (or look at the pdf). First time (without any guidance) i missed easily 3/4 of the available content.

Note there is a somewhat uncommon option for the MC to be bisexual - but if that's not your cup of tea (certainly not mine) its easily turned off via dialogue choice, but i think its nice for those that swing both ways (most games are either fully straight or fully gay for male MCs)

This game is underrated. Every time I try to progress through the story, I nut because of the facial expressions alone. If you want to get to the sex scenes, just download the walkthrough and the In.. patch. Choices really matter and lead to different scenes.

I love the game so far, I'm waiting to see more of Kaydance and Roby. With the father this should be interesting too.
The game have a lot of routes, maybe too much, because without the walkthrough I will be lost.

To be honest why playing this game ? Because the developer has added lots of content for everyone. I would like to see some sexual action while sleeping / rape / black stuff you know.

I can't deny the mother isn't looking good and sorry but Riley with Blue Hair was better than Blond ><

Not a fan of old content, like grandpa, grandma, milf ... but if we can avoid them, then no problem with that.
But please don't block any others routes because we don't choose something.

sorry for the bad rating but i am a quite unsatisfied at the moment and that of several things.

but lets start with the positive right?

Pros:
+ hole idea
+ many decisions
+ good english
+ava, scarlett (but only after her facelift and new hair ), gina and gloria are hot
+old guys ( grandpa and mr wu (or how his name was))

And now to the more important things, the negative:

Cons:
- where is the ntr (which i played the game for...)
- way too much text and simple renders without any outcome (sex)
- way too many choices you can't see the result of (yet?)
- no old guy content beside some phrases (which surprisingly were well written)
- about an hour of dowload (the other one didn't even work) and an hour of gamplay without ntr-sex (at best with gloria, gina and some grandpa)

conclusion:

i came here cause i saw that gina model, big boobs and later surprisingly hot gloria (in my opinion) and saw ntr and some old guy (grandpa) and hoped for naughty/kinky stuff... then i tried to download it - fail, then i tried it again - 1 hours + for download - thought its much content and therefore worth it - clicked and made choices about an hour of gameplay long and what happened? just a bit of naughy stuff with the mc (which i didn't want to see...) and nothing more.
too much renders and text at least i don't need and too many characters (the other family is totally uninteresting for me personally...)

the only good thing is that scarlett with the best figure beside gloria and ava - got finally a face lift and new hair (before her face and hair looked kind of hideous! (sorry).


game has potential but if the game goes on like that i personally don't see a reason to put time into it. which is sad cause i like the gina, gloria, scarlett, ava and grandpa - and also the idea of a mysterious science project...

I give a 3 star rating because the renders are mostly good.
The MC's slightly older sister is attractive.
I dont find the mother 's body attractve, even though her face is ok.
The younger sister has the face of a 30 year old woman and is not pretty.
She needs to be cute like all younger sisters are supposed to be.
The other girl in the coffee shop is very ugly. Her face needs a lot of attention.
The MC's girlfriend is not very attractive and should be fixed.
There is more time with the MC interacting with male characters, than with the girls.
I got sick of seeing the Doc (male) at his door so often, and there is his father, the male neighbor, the coffee shop guy. All buff and well drawn.
So there is a gay theme here.
I have completed this update once now, without the walkthrough, and I missed a lot.
I did not get any sex other than cunninglus and BJ with the mC's girlfriend, who's face is not very attractive.
So download and use the walkthrough.
It promises a lot more events.
Playing without it is not worth the time you spend.

I've been following this game for a while and for me it's one of the best it's also one of the reasons it's because it's a very easy game to play it's not complicated it has great animations in good interaction with the npcs and the mc family for me is a game that deserves a 9.8 rating

Pros:
+ Very easy to understand
+ Great renderings
+ Easy to play

Conclusion:
For a v0.6.7 version it's very good, Mom looks hot and pretty Sisters running around.
It's also the game got pretty long and so did I.
Hope the developer continues with the game, it looks promising. The way the game is forwarding and I have nothing against the NTR "I RESPECT WHO LIKES ONLY EVERYONE HERE HAS THEIR CRAZY FETISH I AM ONE OF THEM WHO LIKE INCEST LOL BUT HOPE IT IS ALL AVOIDED" to please everyone. Let's see what the future holds for the game.

Man this is one tedious game, the amount of reading will put you to sleep.
The sex scenes are far and few in-between.
The renders are a little off, some of the women have weird looking faces.
I don't recommend this game, wasted hours on it...
