All of the npc interactions are animated. Unfortunately, if you are playing on a slower laptop, the animations will drag your system. On my personal desktop and laptop, it runs at or near 60 fps. At some later date, I might try to add an option to remove animations, but its an important feature of an ero game I think.
It is not on a laptop, my CPU is my weakest link. Surely that option would help for low-end users as low FPS means torture while playing. Of course, even when you move around l have that lag, so perhaps it is not ideal path to chase. Seems this game has high requirements

I wanted to create something unique, so I'm using spriter for the map animations and dragonbones for npc interactions, so it is not typical RPGMaker game with 3 frame walk animations and tiny png portraits. I think the effect is cool, but the downside is that it can be resource intensive.

Really appreciate you trying out the game and giving feedback though!

Is it your first game?
l will have to skip this sadly, even though it is interesting the concept on how to respond. l am guessing there are 2 eyes to fall in favor of NPCs, affection or reputation? From the point of view, of you can be gentle or harsh, not just doing what an ugly, creepy person would do but from the point of view of the player. Having the freedom for the player is huge.

Yes, this is my first game.

As for the stats, NPCs have 5 stats overall.

2 represent their view of you (Affection/Reputation) and these can be changed through manipulation.

2 represent their skill as a minion for you (Obedience and Depravity). You can train them to improve these.

Finally, they also have "leverage" which is basically a pool of points you can use to compel the NPC. You get leverage over an NPC by giving them gifts or blackmailing them.

Its been in development for about 4 years while I learned the system, created the assets and learned all of the tools and customizations that I needed. It is progressing quickly now as I have some volunteers helping me, developed my style and the skills necessary and I have the story outlined. I plan on releasing new content every month. Next One scheduled for mid-Feb.

I need a tester! I have a fix for the Uncaught Type Error crash. I haven't been able to reproduce the crash since implementing the fix, but I need some help confirming the bug is gone. If anyone is willing to help test this version let me know and I'll send you a link.

I've uploaded a new patch 0.8.5 (PC only, created Jan 29th, 2024) to . So far I've had 4 people test it plus myself and it seems to have fixed the worst bug, the "uncaught type error" crash. [Problem with "Olivia's Animated Pictures" Plugin] However, I can't say for sure that its been fixed until more people test it.

If you ran into this bug on a previous playthrough, and want to give it another go, I would be grateful for the testing! Pls let me know if it solves it for you, or if you run into this nefarious error again with this new version (0.85).

I didn't see that anyone else reported these, but if you're curious:
1) Collecting the dragon berries in the forest clearing (near the shamans) spawned a circle of fairy toadstools in a nearby glade. Collecting any of those fairy toadstools informed you that you had harvested "nAw" of them. Your inventory would then reveal you to posess "0x" fairy toadstools, even if you'd had some before.

2) The paddle spanking during the initiation ceremony worked in the beta version, but not in the more recent build. I'd get the indicator, but nothing I would press made it move.

3) I'm not sure if the input was changed, but I couldn't figure out how to look at characters during a conversation in the current build or access the sidebar commands. It was a nice feature in the beta (though it would crash if you didn't let the tutorial play out every single time).

4) I actually sought out ways to make the newer build crash when you'd advance dialog too early the way the beta build would. It never did. You did a good job of fixing that.

2) this I haven't seen before, I just had 3-4 people test the latest build and said that it worked perfectly. Can you please share your save?

I reloaded my last save file and the paddle spanking did in fact work in the latest build. It's not impossible that I just didn't remember where to click the second time through, as I tried it with the tutorial mode off. So that might have just been my fault. I was getting sleepy!

That does make a lot of sense to disable the sidebar during conversations if it was causing problems; that's where a lot of my crashes on the beta build occured and most of its options didn't seem to be necessary yet. The option to look at each character and get a description, though, was a really immersive feature that I particularly enjoyed. Would it be possible to integrate that content into the dialog itself instead of the sidebar?

Yeah, I liked the "look" feature too. It still exists on the back-end so should be possible to implement as part of the dialog pretty easily. I work on including it in the update. thanks again for the testing and feedback!

Thanks for playing! You are using an old version. Use the latest version available on . You should be able to fix your existing game though. Fix is below.

Ok. That one is old. You can download this on . 0.8.2 which has the fix in it for the floating portraits. Your save file should work if you follow these instructions:

Use the latest version (0.8.2).

1) Select the hourglass
2) Select "Don't wait"

Does this fix the issue for you? In theory it should solve the issue and it won't return.

(The problem comes from a switch that was not shut off in the previous build. I have fixed the initial failure to shut off the switch, and added in a fail safe that shuts off the switch numerous mundane tasks, such as this one.)

Hi I did all the obedience trainings with Baroness but I still can't ask her for spanking the maid? Am I missing something?
