Ok with Melody unzipped the files by pressing 9, in DMD pulse 1 and then 2 and does not extract any files, I do the wrong ...

Do you get any files extracted in your DMD/game folder? Post a screenshot of that folder so I can see the files you have.

OK so I see what the problem is unrpyc doesn't like the folder name Dating My Daughter [Ch. 1-2 v0.20 Extras]
rename it to Dating My Daughter Ch. 1-2 v0.20 Extras or similar, just get rid of the brackets and it will run fine.

I haven't used UnRen for a while. (Just haven't had a need.) Never really had too many issues with it; it's a useful tool, but I was encountering problems with the newer version and was forced to use a more stable, downgraded version. I wonder, after reading your comment, if brackets contributed to the issues I experienced. Hmm, that's something I should experiment around with at some point.
hm running into a problem now with two games, time loop hunter and personal trainer. both games seem to not have a python file, and it cannot find any of the usual files to unload

It just worked fine for me with both those games did you put unren in the correct folder?

That isn't unren not being able to locate python it seems as though unren doesn't have write permission, that file _rpatool.py
is created when you run unren option 1 (Extract RPA packages), it should be there.

yeah thats weird. been working for years, why suddenly stop now. also just checked the permissions, and the file does have the ability to write and modify

I don't know as I said it looks like a permission issue or something else is blocking unren from creating the rpatool file in that directory.
It is created fine for me.
i understand the sudden issue, but are there any solutions for this? seems to have all the permissions

I'm not sure I guess you could try and move the files to a different location (create a new folder on a different drive) and see if there is any change.

I do. It still always comes up with the same messageplace unren.bat in the games folder with the games executable
