I'm not the type to post links to games, but I can at least let you know that the preview contains a scene with Ashley and Monica (lesbian), and a scene with Arthur that happens if you're on the good route and choose to be corrupted after Eric's funeral. This is the same as an old Arthur scene, that you wouldn't have encountered if playing the good route.

I think people sharing the patreon content should wait until beta. Remember what evakiss complained about in one of her previous posts. We all want to get our dopamine rush, me including. But we also should support developers of the games we love. If you can't wait until beta then be a patreon and support her. Adult gaming is a niche indie industry, and if we scare the developers by overpirating their content they might eventually fall off. It's okay to pirate, but let's be at least patient a little bit and give potential patreons a reason to be a patreon. Just my two cents. ✌:)

If I pirate games, at least I wait for the final version.

I don't think it has an meaningful impact. Most people who pirate wouldn't buy the game if it was the only version available. People still make a big deal of piracy when it has been proven to not really harm sales and can be a powerful marketing tool.

That's not according to me, but an EU study.

It's about the impact it has on her patrons. Not many would pay the 30 for the previews, if it just appears online the next day every single time. Just a couple of that level patrons lost will start to have an impact.

You know even leaking the final version has impact on her patreon. Let's not pirate anything and I bet that boosts her patreon count.

You have no point. EvaKiss has been gaining patreons and pledges on monthly basis since development started. Piracy hasn't made a dent in her earnings and probably brought more exposure to her game than anything else. Only mediocrity fears piracy.

Sadly there are no numbers what would have happened to the game and her earnings without piracy.

You cannot treat small indie developers like AAA video game studios with million dollars of budget. The problem is scaring the developer community away with over-piracy. What are they going to do? Apply for a Denuvo license? I don't think so. I am talking about the ethical aspect of things, let's pirate it i am all for it but let's at least pirate it a little bit later by skipping preview and alpha versions (which are actually full of bugs). So at least there is a point to being a higher paying patreon. In the end it's all about making them create higher quality content.

Edit: I am also not even going to bother with how some of those "pirates" are just random dudes without too much activity in their account. You'd be surprised how easy it is to hide malicious code in the binary. .exe is not the only binary, .dll files also count. There should be some supervision from the forum staff about who can upload stuff and who cannot.
