Of course, the game would survive without that element. In fact, it is possible to avoid the extortion route. Much like it is possible to avoid the subway thugs upcoming forced scenes. As it is possible to avoid all males and go pure lesbian. As it is possible to avoid all females and go pure heterosexual. All routes are avoidable. So, I don't see what the problem is.And i still say that this game didnt need extortion, blackmail call it what you want.
the problem is, you will need to go down one of the routes to get enough filthy points to see all the lesbian content or other male content in the future or edit save files t get those points. As i said before, im done with this game anyway, im just stirring up the potOf course, the game would survive without that element. In fact, it is possible to avoid the extortion route. Maybe one day some awesome hacker type person will create a mod for this game. What would the mod do? Requirements on all choices changed to no require no requirements. Seems like a really simple mod, I'm sure someone will make it one day.the problem is, you will need to go down one of the routes to get enough filthy points to see all the lesbian content or other male content in the future or edit save files t get those points. there already is one, it works up to the previous version, idk if its updated or not.Maybe one day some awesome hacker type person will create a mod for this game. What would the mod do? Yes, but you can collect points from all the paths. As you can continuously decide, when you reach a really hot point you can say no.compared to fashion business & the rest of female protagonist game this blackmail stuff is more vanilla
yeah the good thing on this game is player can choose their own fetish but when you missed out 1 event or choosable option for your certain fav npc route you missed them entirely
Or edit a save and change the points for that you need...Except that that's patently false, because of the terrible game design where the lesbian content with Ellie and Patricia is gated behind being forced to get Filthy points and make non-lesbian based choices with men all the time. To get max points with either of them and even get a good degree of their content, you have to basically get involved with a good majority of the male content directly, either to have the Filthy point requirements or needing to trigger certain events just so latter ones happen. Because almost everything involving them isn't even determined by Lesbian points, it's almost all related to Filthy points, and the largest source of them is male-based encounters.
And it quickly snowballs to the point where only a few days in its straight up impossible to get Ellie and Patricia scenes --and thus additional character-specific points with them-- so you can never get up enough points with them to progress because you keep falling behind more and more with each missed encounter. L&P has stubbornly insisted in the past that it's because the two are "special characters" because they're Sophia's daughter and sister respectively, but it's just straight up bad game design when certain paths are gated behind nonsensical, unrelated content. There should be a means to get to their content purely through the lesbian route. Instead, if you want to get with either of them, you've got to be a massive cock-whore.
I used to suggest that people just cheat the filthy points with a save game editor just to get the type of path you want to do a proper, full lesbian path, but even the most recent updates put paid to that as an option because you can't even have the...so even then because L&P has forced some of the encounters to be choice-based rather than point based, you're still forced into slutting it up with men.You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Yes, you could do that too. But the point is that you shouldn't have to. The game should be better designed and players shouldn't have to jump through stupid hoops with a save editor to fix something that's not just a stupid mistake, but an intentional design decision that's terribly thought out and implemented.Or edit a save and change the points for that you need...
Agree, it's all correct, if I daresay.Technically Sophia is the victim of "Extortion", and not "Blackmail". Aren't they the same thing? No, they are very similar.
Blackmail: the action, treated as a criminal offense, of demanding payment or another benefit from someone in return for not revealing compromising or damaging information about them.
Extortion: the practice of obtaining something, especially money, through force or threats.
What would an example of Blackmail on Sophia be?
Sophia goes out on a 2nd date with the fratboys on this coming Friday. Neil the neighbor (the one who got slapped for drugging her, and trying to take advantage in her bathroom) was in an argument with his wife Amber, and went out to have a drink that same night to blow off some steam. Coincidentally Neil spots Sophia at the nightclub. She does not see him, and he keeps his distance from her. Neil notices she is there with a man that is NOT her husband. Neil gets out his cellphone and subtly records Sophia sucking a fratboys cock in a backroom.
The following morning "knock knock knock" on Sophia's door. Neil is there. She says, "What do you want?" He says, "We need to talk, I saw you at the club last night." She invites him to the backyard to talk about it out of earshot from her family. Neil holds up his phone and shows footage of her sucking a fratboys cock. Neil says, "This isn't right, and your husband is my best friend. If you don't tell him I will." Sophia says, "Please don't, I'll do anything, do you want money, it would destroy my family."
Neil offers to keep her secret in exchange for a weekly blowjob. That's blackmail.
On the other hand, Aiden is not of yet blackmailing Sophia. Aiden has basically said, I'm going to be kicking your sons ass, me and my gang. I don't care if you tell your husband. I don't care if you tell the police. I don't care if you tell the principal. My uncle is the best lawyer in the world and has got my back. Come to school with no bra on tomorrow or I'm going to beat your sons ass some more. This is Extortion, and not blackmail.
Blackmail is a specific subset of extortion. Aiden may blackmail Sophia in the future, but he is currently extorting her. If Aiden gets Sophia to do something on camera, then threatens to share that with her husband ect in the future, his extortion bleeds over into blackmail territory.
Hope this cleared things up for folks.
Thats what i was trying to say with the blackmail routes, that even if you deny them they will mess with the story, because if you dont do them, you wont get the necesary points or miss some content, just because the dev decided so, as you said " that's terribly thought out and implemented"Yes, you could do that too. Well that depends how it's done. I mean, with every game that is about choices and consequences there usually is --and rightfully should be-- content that you lock out based on decisions and other content that you only see because of them. But the content needs to make sense and support both the narrative and the path you're laying before the players. Locking out content and/or gating it behind decisions isn't bad gameplay inherently. It's bad gameplay when the content that causes the lockout isn't logically linked to the content itself properly, and when players are punished for making choices that aren't obviously linked to the path they're trying to take.Thats what i was trying to say with the blackmail routes, that even if you deny them they will mess with the story, because if you dont do them, you wont get the necesary points or miss some content, just because the dev decided so, as you said " that's terribly thought out and implemented"
exactly, and if you dont play just lesbian route, but more filthy, but dont want to go Aiden, Mr. Bennet, or other extortion routes, who says you wont miss content in the future, because you didnt have enough filthy points that you gain during those.Well that depends how it's done. The other thing this game is guilty of is locking and gating content with no explanation whatsoever. For example fairly early on there's a scene that is completely different based on no obvious factors with Sophia and Patricia in a park teasing some men. If you don't meet certain requirements then the scene just doesn't happen at all, and there's nothing to tell the player where they went wrong or even any input choices for the player. It just abruptly moves on as if that's the norm, with no indication of there being alternative content at all. It's only when you meet the requirements via either hacking points with a save editor or play a game where your Filthy points are higher and you get to that point that you even know there's an alternative scene with not only extra content, but extra choices and points for Patricia. But yet if you've been playing as only a lesbian up to that point, the opportunities never present themselves.
DYLAN is the best chracter in the game .
What is going on ????
Could be, or Dylan goes like i dont want to go to a boarding school and the player will be forced into the Aidens storyline anyway, just because, the dev sees the game going that way..If turn down Aiden's black mail, going to be the story of sending Dylan to boarding school?
And there's another option? Can you see the story according to the player's choice?
If Dylan is sent to boarding school, I think it would be good to go to the story that connects him to Amber.
Actualy if you avoid too much you simply avoid everything because you don't have enough points.Of course, the game would survive without that element. In fact, it is possible to avoid the extortion route. Much like it is possible to avoid the subway thugs upcoming forced scenes. As it is possible to avoid all males and go pure lesbian.
