The last thing I read on the Discord was a get well soon message which might mean slow progress. It was close to a month ago that he made the announcement on Patreon that he was sick but in the same announcement he mentioned putting a lot of money into his rig to help him render faster, that's enough for me to believe he's still reasonably active. He also made a poll 2 days after that suggested he's still slowly poking at it.
I'm pretty sure that Polyrotix is mostly a solo dev and the previous update didn't come quickly after the v0.01, so I kind of expect big gaps between releases already from this one. I assume day jobs and such are getting in the way.

yeah i think like u said solo dev for sure .
i agree, that prologue with all the video game shit is terrible. i almost abandoned the game entirely but luckily i stuck it out because the stuff outside of that is great.

Well at least its a well written prologue, and its seem to set up alot of background for the story to progress. Not just "hey ,here is a dude with a big dick that live with 2 other girls" that i have seen in 80% of the games on this site

and make it 90% of the games on this site, that prologue may be boring(not for me) but it's well written, it gave us a lot of infos about MC and his lifestyle until the accident...

Guess on a narrative point not wrong. But this is A VN, a mix of Narrative and Gameplay. So there is need for a balancing Act.
With a allot visual media usually the best stories show and don't tell. Never been with a couple of exceptions a big van of Exposition.
But lots of commercial Media do lots of Exposition, i remember watching Great movies with people, that keep asking who is this what is this from start to finish and then they still don't understand the movie plus ending.
Edit: I'll admit if i were to make a VN game in this genre would also be the First time I'd do it so I'll either make the same mistake or entirely different.
Its not meant to fault the Dev/Creator.
You gotta start somewhere and work from there.

It's not, storywise it's just terrible. Prologue is overly complicated and doesn't connect to the main story at all. At first I assumed that he will reincarnate/transmigrate to the game character which would made perfect sense and reading all that game stuff would be worth it. But when he transmigrated to some troubled youth in modern setting it was just painful.
Dev breaks every rule of storytelling and he is mixing fantasy, sci-fi and real life setting which is indication of terrible taste.
Other than that renders are amazing and characters are interesting. Definitely I will play the next update.

we're talking about ver 0.2, it's basically a DEMO, a big fat DEMO, a DEMO full of content for being a DEMO, maybe sooner or late there will be the connection to the prologue, remember it's basically a DEMO, you're judging a DEMO, we had the prologue where we meet our MC, then ver0.1 where we meet the girls and ver0.2 where there is some content for one of the main girls...so yeah we should talk about this game like we normally talk about a DEMO of a game.
I don't belive that some nerdy information dump how to slay dragons in the video games will connect to the story of fuckin milf who had a crush on father of a dude you are reaincarnated in. To make this a good story plotlines should be cut by half. Especially when dev releases relatively small updates in half year periods.
And I'm only talking about storytelling. IMHO guy who makes this is talented person who is lazy as fuck and didn't read any short guide "how to write a story". Everything in the game is great and grandeur but it lacks basic worksmanship. Such a waste.

After playing v0-02 if you think you figured out everything before the game ever reaches the End..then it wouldnt be a game now would it...thats what movies and games and other entertainment industry does..they scrambles everything up so that you can pick up the pieces later and attach together by yourself...they try to keep you hanging for the next story or part so that your mind keeps rolling around within the story using that brain of yours!Its Not very Wise to judge a Game story without playing till the end!So I would say that your comment would have made sense to me...If the Game had Completed tag on it.
