This is a demonstration fight to make it clear what kind of combat system will be in this storyline and specifically here it's as easy as possible since this is the first showing. I don't understand why you are confused and asking this question. Well, here it is:

I also was asking if that is what the developer intended... as we have so many here who English is not their primary language, the developer may well have not relized that the English nickname for 'Richard' was 'Dick' or that 'dick' is also a nickname for a detective. If the *intend* to make the pun, then great - if they don't, it can really detract from their work.

While Jab certainly has a large compilation of parody comics, a lot of his comics (Like the referenced Hot Ass Neighbor and There Goes the Neighborhood) are original works. Honestly, from what you mentioned so far, it sounds like you need to talk to your artist about their work ethic since a lot of these character models are 1 to 1 lifted from Jabcomix.
There's also some other models that are clearly from other works. Like Wolf the detective is literally the MC from the Telltale Wolf Among Us video game series.
It's unlikely that anything will come of it, and it's honestly an appealing art style, but I'd have trust issues if an artist I hired did this without telling me. At the very least, they could try a bit harder to alter the designs so they're at least visually different from the ones they're inspiring.
