Seeking 2D games with good writing

Curious about what your recommendations are for 2D games with what you'd describe as good writing (whatever that means to you).

I personally find there's few 2D games with writing that's at least passable if not good or great: The Last Sovereign, Lilith's Throne, Something Unlimited, Sanguine Rose, Detective Girl of the Steam City, Four Elements Trainer, Akabur's stuff, etc.

Pretentious Goblin's post mentions this, but If you liked The Last Sovereign and haven't tried Sierra Lee's other games, I'd highly recommend giving them a go. Ouroboros is probably my second favorite of theirs in terms of writing aside from Last Sovereign. Once Ever After was also great writing wise, but kind of grindy in gameplay.
