NTS Dev pretending to be NTR
Netorare
Male protagonist point of view. It's a mix of oblivious-NTR and full-blown NTS. The problem is, the MC initiates the NTS because he liked the idea from the start. But the game then pretends it's NTR because the MC is "hating it". He keeps changing his opinion on the fly. It's just NTS. Not my cup of tea, I always refer to NTS as eating other people's trash. The niche art style is the only thing carrying this.
Art style
That's the only thing of value. This dev always brings a somber, slightly haunting feel to his art, something you rarely see elsewhere. Because of the nature of his drawings, he excels at building suspense, which benefits this genre. Not many NTR or NTS games can do dark suspense easily.
Story
Corruption in four days. Really? The dev wasn't bothered to write anything of substance. Some drawings and silhouettes as the main selling point, for a game that takes 1(one) hour to finish. The corruption doesn't even progress smoothly, and you get barely any indication outside of the scenes themselves.
What’s with devs being dead set on speedrunning the corruption process? And it's always the NTS devs pretending to be NTR devs that do this.
Gameplay
There’s no gameplay. You click, it moves, then it ends. I wouldn’t mind the linear format if the story had substance, but the whole thing feels minimalistic. The game design feels like a reflection of the dev’s ambition, like he barely bothered to make a game at all.
Conclusion
It's NTS slop. Maybe a game with soul, but lazy and devoid of quality.
The dev needs someone beside him. A writer. A designer. Anyone with the patience to build a world instead of just drawing this short scene in an onsen.
3/5 stars - for the art, not the game.
