Are you referring to a PC game or Android? Personally, I would be leery of any "amateur" game that accessed the web without my permission.

The focus at the moment is pc, but since I'm using rpg maker mv, I could launch an android version as well. The banner would only load when opening the game. It would not be something that would be accessing the web all the time. The banner would be provided by the advertising network "Anonymous Ads". Even if internet access is blocked, the game will run normally.

As long as there was full disclosure in the game description, I can see no harm it. A one time display of an ad is reasonable (I assumed your ad would be constantly displayed during the game, hence my reluctance). Also, video ads are a deal breaker as well.
