Sounds like you downloaded something wrong. Apk files need no extracting. Download from the links that says 'Android'. It will start downloading the .apk file. Go to the downloads after it's done. Tap on the file and it will start installing. You can delete the apk file after that.

Proof of Life 6/9/25
Hey guys, Sorry this proof of life's not going to have a lot of details or the usual progress tracker. I'm not at my computer and won't be for a little while, so I just thought I'd let you all know what's going on so you don't feel like I'm leaving you hanging.
A few days ago, we had some good friends invite us to go on vacation last minute with them when their extended family dropped out, so we threw our stuff together, jumped in the car and drove seven hours to the coast. We're going to be on vacation until Saturday, and during that time I will not be getting anything done on AFV.
Sorry about the delay this will cause to the release, but me and my family were really needing to get away for a little bit. Hope you all understand, and hope you all have a great week!

Mini Proof of Life
Hey guys, just another update about the state of the update. I got home from my vacation on Saturday, went to turn on my computer and it won’t boot up. It’s stuck in an infinite boot loop. I tried reseating the ram sticks and cmos, but no luck. I took it into a repair shop this morning, but they can’t get to it until Wednesday. Hopefully it’s something simple, and we’re moving forward again in a few days. I’m a little worried that it’s the gpu. I don’t hear it booting up. I’m wondering if the girl I hired to take care of our animals and water our plants was messing with it.
Unfortunately, I didn’t back up any of the new material for the next update so I can’t really work on it in a significant way on our other rig, but I’ll try and find some way to keep the update moving forward until I get my main rig back.
If I have to buy a new gpu, I’m wondering if I go with the 5090. I’m not hearing great things though. Maybe it would be better to stay with the 4090 if I can get a hold of another one? Do any of you have any helpful insights?

Just an additional update for you all. The shop has determined that it’s not the gpu, ram, or psu, they’re pretty sure it’s either the motherboard, the cpu, or both. They’re supposed to be getting a compatible motherboard In today for testing, so hopefully it’s fixed later today or tomorrow.
