Story boarding. What do I want to happen. How will scenes play out.
Posing assets in DAZ. Creating the scenes visuals. Probably the longest to finish most of the time.
Rendering the scenes. Taking the posed files and rendering them. Doing quality control as well.
With the renders done writing the dialog for the scenes can be easier as you can put the renders behind the text you're writing.
Scripting both renders and dialog into renpy.
Proof reading the script file.
Adding more or changing existing renders and making changes to dialog as needed.
Internal bug testing.

Cheats can cause bugs. Post your save and I'll take a look.Greetings, It appears that I be stuck trying to take pictures of Jacky and Mindy as Jacky keeps asking me what the headmasters sexual preference is. I did use cheats to get all the books and I am on version 0.07 extended supporter pc.
In the states the drinking age is 21.My first impression of the game:
WHY THE FUCK DO I HAVE THE OPTION TO DO SOMETHING IF THE CHARACTER JUST SAYS 'WHY WOULD I WANT TO DO IT?!'
Seriously. I click 'Take a closer look', character says 'why would I want to take a closer look?'. I click on a cupboard and get 'why would I want to go through her stuff?'
FUCK the main character, I hate games that give you an option to do something but when you try they say 'oh, i dont think I should'. Also games that act as if they're giving you a choice but there is only one option to chose from. Why make it a choice?!
I will keep playing the game for a more educated opinion, but the game loses a lot of points already with this bullshit.
...Havent even finished writing it and another one appeared: the game won't let you go to warehouse until you click on a family picture at home. I guess game dev is really fucking pleased with himself and his exposition writing skills.
And the main character is driving a fucking Piaggio... This game wants me to hate it.
Wait... 'Im too young to drink'? The game said all characters are over 18...
So here is my save file, not sure if I did this correctly but here:Cheats can cause bugs. Post your save and I'll take a look.
I can't seem to load that file.So here is my save file, not sure if I did this correctly but here: Mega
No, no I have not, and only made it few days in before deciding to give up on this one. It's just terribly written in my opinion, especially after playing The Redburns. In the states the drinking age is 21.
As far as the false options go it sounds like you haven't finished the intro yet if you still needed to click on family picture.
This is one of my favorite games. But thanks for the recommendation of The Redburns. I will check it out.No, no I have not, and only made it few days in before deciding to give up on this one. It's just terribly written in my opinion, especially after playing The Redburns.
Guess we have different preferences. This seems like the creator tried to make a sandbox game but couldn't be bothered to actually code all sort of outcomes and possibilities so just slaps your hand when you try to do something he didn't finish. This is one of my favorite games.

I...have you actually played adventure games before? Like, at all?Guess we have different preferences. This seems like the creator tried to make a sandbox game but couldn't be bothered to actually code all sort of outcomes and possibilities so just slaps your hand when you try to do something he didn't finish.
The Redburns is a solid game but be warned it's been on hold for a long time. This is one of my favorite games. But thanks for the recommendation of The Redburns. I will check it out.![]()
There's sort of a middle ground between sand box and VN I think the dev was going for but I take your meaning.Guess we have different preferences. This seems like the creator tried to make a sandbox game but couldn't be bothered to actually code all sort of outcomes and possibilities so just slaps your hand when you try to do something he didn't finish.
I think his point was more the options to click on things shouldn't exist unless they do something. For example in the school you can click on Ryan's locker but it doesn't do anything yet. But you are right that the first week is very 'on rails' with the objective being to show the player how the game systems are set up without the player getting lost wondering what to do.I...have you actually played adventure games before? Like, at all?
The reason why it feels like an incomplete sandbox game...is because it's not a sandbox game nor was it meant to be. One of the earliest lessons that game developers had was that, sometimes, you can limit or outright sacrifice gameplay if it helps set or develop the characters in a game. It's why cutscenes exist at all.
You are, in effect, doing the equivalent of critizising the intro to Half-life 1 because it's 4 minutes of you being "trapped" in a train while the game takes you through a few panoramic scenes of the place where you were going to be playing in. It sets up a few things, like the fact that the MC is theoretical physicist, works in an underground experimental complex, the people in charge have an AWEFUL safety procedures or records, and the the place is HUGE.
You, on the other hand, would be mad because you weren't shooting people within the first few seconds of starting the game.
It's fine that you don't like it and that this is your opinion but none of it is actually legitimate criticism.
