Ren'Py - A House in the Rift [v0.7.14r2] [Zanith]

When I first downloaded this game i didn't know what to expect. I personally like harem games, but the plot of this game didn't match what I was searching for at the time. Today I can say it's one of the most masterfully crafted adult game out there. Every character feels alive, and have their own dynamic and personality to them.

The gameplay is easy and the "romance" system is quite basic, but after thefirst few wanks I got into the story quite heavily. Started to care to some extent for the girls in the house. So all in all, came for the porn, stayed for the story and characters. My favorite character is Azaraesha hands down. Her personality and personal story got me hooked quite quickly.

Now for the negative (for me atleast). The latest addition to the "family" is a *SPOILER* shy orc lady. Now I will not kinkshame anyone, but it's not for me. Other than that, the lack of effect of "skills" on the story and interactions with the girls in the house, leaves a bit of bad after taste for me. There is no "special event" tied to for exemple maxing out strength will let you powerfuck Rae or even pin down our wayward pirate captain for a good romp. I really hope that something like that will be implemented in the future. There are other smaller problems here and there, but I think I ramble enough.

To the make of this game, I could only say, incredible job. Sorry I can't make any contributions to your patreon (living in a dirt poor country, lucky to have a flat under my ass), but the moment I get a raise and get some extra you can expect at least a 5$ or 10$ contribution! Thank you for the awsome game.

This is easily one of the best games on f95. Writing is pretty good, funny at times, and realistic enough. The characters look great and the animations are top-notch. One thing I really like about this game is that a lot of the lore is skippable if you're not in the mood to learn about ethers and whatnot.

My only problem with the game is I don't like Naomi very much, the way she talks or her appearance but that's a personal preference thing. I'm sure there are a lot of people that do like her.

Overall, this game is great and I highly recommend it.

Edit: Changed the rating from 5/5 to 4/5. This is still a great game, not sure I would call it one of the best games on this site anymore, partly cause I've played more games now. And playing through it again, it just didn't seem as good as I remembered.

Diverse and extremely well written cast of characters in an interesting setting. Quite a bit of thought out content and fully animated, high quality scenes to go with it.

I typically struggle to get into a RenPy game or visual novels in general. This game is excellent and really shows how well this type of game can be made. Highly recommend it. One of my absolute favorites.

I don't usually write reviews, because I rarely find a game I fully immerse myself into. I really don't think it's fair to developers if I review a game after just few hours. This time it's different.

The writing is quality.
The animations are amazing and on point.
Conversations with the girls are fun and quirky.
I was pleasantly surprised how deep the world is in this game. It's not just another harem game, trust me.

Most importantly Rae is best girl please don't argue. This is a must play title.
Oh and it's still updated!

One of the few developers who is still updating on a consistent and rapid schedule. Commendable. Many, many other admirable games just trail off, with fewer and fewer updates. Happy to see this developers buck that trend.

Btw, the game is an inspired piece of work!

Nice game with lovely girls and an interesting story.
The renders and animations are good, the background music is realy relaxing, and not like other, going to be annoying.

would give 5stars but Lyriels "like"language is a big mood killer. She is a medieval Elf not the school bitch, it doesn't suits her. (my opinion)

It would be nice if the MC could use some of the facilitys by him self.(and can be visited random by one of the girls). It's strange to have them but can't use them (only when it's used by a girl).

Awesome Characters and a good Story,

Especially the little Stories like washing dishes with Ly, watching TV with Az or catching Cait secretly reading Henai make it one of the best Games for me.

This game is exactly what is should be, the way you can track events is integrated well, the animation and art is top notch, and the game itself is just fun. I would highly recommend this game. I didn't run into any major bugs and I look forward to future updates. Great job!

Summary: A fun sandbox harem game with an evolving storyline

One of my favorite games on the site. Each update tends to be relatively small and takes you forward a few days as you work through the new additions. This is actually fine for this game as it is more about the journey than the underlying story, although that's good as well.

This game is sandbox-centric with a story, I see the story as progressed primarily to provide incremental added content and new circumstances to explore from the sandbox. Each of the girls has their own storyline and background. There are no time limits and stat progression is more an afterthought you knock out relatively early in play rather than something you struggle to get done.

ZanithOne Knows how to immerse you in the game with brilliant animations and much more natural movements and interactions the characters have totally independent personalities and behaviors. I would have to say this game is brilliant in its design.

only an idiot would dislike such masterpiece like this one, all girls are best girls, great animations, interesting premise, not grindy at all compared to MANY other games in here and its actually updated pretty regularly.

Been playing the game for quite a few updates and overall it's better than a lot of games on f95. The animations are pretty good, but sometimes the camera movement seems to be pretty jumpy sometimes.

My only gripe is the lack of advancement with some of the characters storylines. Such as with not being able to do much sexual stuff with Caitlin after quite a few updates. It's great that the storyline didn't just jump into the MC having sex with the 4 women in the house. But some of the storylines seems to have become stagnant after quite a few updates.

The overall rating of the game could definitely be upgraded to a 5 when more events are added to the game. But having to skip time to find the women in certain areas of the house at different times of the day can get tedious and boring. More girls are definitely needed to fill not only more rooms in the house, but some of the gaps in events with the main 4.

This game is really one of the best I've ever played on this site.

One of the best games I’ve played in a while. The story is great with interesting characters and the main storyline with subplots are intriguing.
There’s always activities in the game to do and interactions with the characters feel unique every time. The main girls shine in own way, complementing each other and I find myself drawn to their individual stories as well.
Animations are smooth and the scenes are always a delight to watch.
Overall, this game is great and I look forward to future updates!

The animations are top notch,the characters are loveable,the graphic is really good.At the moment this is the most detailed game out there.Everybody should try it.I cant even say something negative about the game its so well crafted.

This game is utterly fantastic, though updates feel a little slower than I'd like. That may be due to each update only having a few scenes though it's updated very regularly. I'd overall rate this on a similar level to some of my favorites like Harem Hotel and Mythic Manor.

The story's fairly basic but each character feels like they have their own individual traits and the main character isn't an incompetent doormat. The animations are great and the models are fantastic. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a harem game. The sandbox portion shouldn't push anyone away since there's essentially no grind either and there's an in-game guide on where to find the next scene with each girl.

With how crazy the world is who doesnt want to get away to relax and enjoy life. Well how about going to a wonderful little pocket house dimension where you and several wonderfully written and amazing women are there to relax. While also trying to find your way back home. The writing is superb and the women you are with are amazing. Enjoy your time exploring the house and interacting with all the wonderful women, with plenty of fun sexy times to be had with them. I definitely recommend giving this one a look.

Definetly one of the best games i've played in here.

- The animations are very well made, and even the renders, they are so good and the details in them are amazing.

- The story, don't get me started on the story, it's an original story with amazing charaters and side-charaters. I guess it's a good thing to say that i went to the game with a dick in hand and left still thinking about the story, the only downside to this is that i feel empty inside(no, not that way ) when i reach the end of the current main story, but even after that you have so much side content to play it's amazing.

- In terms of grammar i think i didn't find any typo or mistake, and if i did it was so small i don't even remember it.

- I also like how he incorporated some levels of difficulty, if i can call it that, with each of the 4 main girl characters, being each of them a little harder than the other to "conquer" romantically(and of course sexually ).

And i guess that's all i can say so far about this amazing game, if you haven't played it yet i highly recomend you give it a try.
