Ever since you finished your high-school, You and your father had always argued about whether you should stay or leave your old town.
He wanted you to move since the old town didn't have any future for you, but you insisted to stay since there will be no one else to take care of him because of his weak heart.

Life goes on, and despite your best efforts to take care of him, your father passed away when you weren't watching.
His death left you without any purpose and you had no idea what to do or where to go next. Until one day, you found a letter from the A. O .A academy, along with the number of your long lost best friend - Ashley.

TARGET RELEASE DATE : MID - SEPTEMBER

CURRENT PROGRESS : 60-70%

Finished ( and composited ) renders : -+ 380 > I don't have a target amount of total renders.
Intro video : Finished. > this plays after the opening segment of the game.
Current amount of lines : 1900 > I'm targeting about 2-2.5 k amount of total line for the first release.
Animations : None so far. I will make them when the (XXX) part of the game has been finalized and 100% certain.

Hey Everyone !

I'm TLG and I wanted to share something that I've been working on for a few months. It's a Visual Novel that focuses on life as one of the members of a Mafia family.
I wanted a more serious and dark tone with the story. English is not my first language, so please keep that in mind.

Story :

The memory of your mother's last moments always hangs around your head in your every waking moment. The feeling of guilt and sorrow never cease to fade away, even after 16 years later.

You couldn't do anything back then. You failed to help the person that meant the most to you. The sleepless nights and painful mornings constantly reminded you that your mother's death is not something that you can get over with.

Yet, Live goes on. You spent the next few years under the Vinci family, growing up and learnt how to live as a proper member of a mafia family. You swore to get revenge on the man that ended your mother's life, and this is the only thing driving you to continue living. Eventually, you rose up the ranks and ended up as the family's enforcer. You believed that with all the effort that you put through, you will be able to find and kill the man responsible for your mother's death.

Will you find your own way to find happiness again? Or are you going to let vengeance and sorrow consume you?

even after 16 years later : (This can be written 2 ways to keep the same writing but fix the grammar) even after 16 years/even 16 years later

constantly reminded : constantly remind/continually reminded

get over with : (remove with)

ended your mother's : took your mother's

and this is the only thing driving you : this is the only thing that drives you (or you can rewrite it as "this is the driving force of your life")

as the family's enforcer : as an enforcer for the family (assuming it is a position with multiple people like in reality)

You believed that with all the effort that you put through, you will be able to find and kill the man responsible for your mother's death. : You believe with all of your acquired skills and connections, you will be able to find and kill the man responsible for your mother's death (First sentence kind of didn't make much sense)

Vinci's establishment : establishments (I assume they own more than 1)

2 things in the overviews.
1. Explain if the MC's mother/family had a previous connection to the Vinci family. Basically saying if he is an off the street person who got caught up in the mob, or he was born into it.

2. When referring to the Mafia family try and say "the family" or the mafia family name this makes it different to personal family. Hence with Ashley when you read it, you wonder if she owed MC's mom, or the mafia.

Your writing is mostly fine. At worst you might need a grammar checker.

The models and renders look good.

Going to say the Mafia lady's overview makes it sound like she was the head when the MC was young. Might want to mention she was young then too.

Hey all, Just an update on the project.



Right now, I think I'm about 60 - 70% done with the first release.
I'm at about 1900 lines, a few hundred shy away from my intended goal, but there's still 1 more big scene I have planned before I can move on to the animations and galleries.



Current render count is at about 380. This doesn't include animations and other stuff.
My impression with the current state of the project has been mostly optimistic. But creators are always biased when it comes to their own game, so there's not much more I can say about it.




All I know for sure is that for the first time since the inception of this project ( a few months ago ) , I am really happy with how everything is turning out.

The thing I wished that I can improve the most is how to make things less linear. This is due to the sheer amount of characters I have to set up and introduce and also allow the player(s) to understand the world and the main plot with first before moving on with each character's path.

I guess that's a given, since my vision of this project is to make something that's more than just a porn vn.
There will be animated sexual stuff and what-not. But do understand that they're the cherry on top, and not the main course of the project.



I'm excited for the release, which should come sometime within the next 2 weeks. If you have any questions or something you wanted to discuss, I'm always open for that.

TrueLoveGames, I saw your Jenny post in the DAZ3D thread which drew me to this thread. This sounds really interesting, and the character renders are amazing, definitely looking forward to the first release Good luck!

TrueLoveGames you know better than anyone else how much time you have, what you're capable of and how your story is organized, but after reading your last post I can't help but wonder if you're not spreading yourself too thin by dealing with a huge number of characters. I've noticed this becomes a serious issue in many games over time, especially for devs who are just starting and still don't have a solid fanbase.

You still have time to think this through. But as I said before, the game looks amazing and your idea of what kind of story you're aiming at sounds just like what I like
