VN - Ren'Py - A Perfect Marriage [v0.7.5b] [Mr Palmer]

It's slow but the story telling is amazing. I feel invested in each character. It's hasn't had a H-scene yet but God damn the build up is soon good and tense. One of the best if not the best avn I've played. Cannot wait for the story to continue.

Story works. MC looks good.

But there really is no excuse to inflict players with constant flashbacks, dull monologue, repetitive dialogue, just to drag out play time. In the last update v0.75a, a significant fraction of renders were just duplicates with slight adjustments repeated over tortorously stale dialogue. That is just stuffing the game with low effort renders with no payoff.

This game is the best ive played so far, a bit slow in its updates, but really captivating. The slow degradation, and the unavoidable corruption is magnificent.

Unfortunately, the dev is way too mediocre, which significantly affects the game’s rating… it takes him almost a year to release a new update that barely offers five minutes of content, and even then, he has no problem charging $3 for his cheapest subscription, always coming up with excuses like being sick, not having enough time because of work, or even that a hurricane hit his house…

Awesome renders and story but the lack of sex scenes is out of this world,the pace is the slowest i've seen in this forum.it's gonna take 5 years to have interesting scenes on this one. if you want sex scenes,you will be disappointed.

If you don't like sex in games, this game is for you. This one is long blueballing, the updates are far between and consist of mostly fluff. each update doesn't last more than 5 minutes. Usually its 3 Months between updates so 4 updates a year of a total of 20 minutes gameplay. You do the math if you think its worth to sub such a game.

Review of 0.7.5a (focusing on NTR/cheating)

tl;dr - A good game, ruined by a slow burn that means there's such little adult content it's almost not an adult game.

Pros :
1) Good renders, attractive models
2) Well written
3) Decent scenes
4) Lots of cheating content from the PoV of the wife

Cons :
1) Too much verbosity in the writing. It feels like a novella with the sheer amount of writing in the game - not necessarily a bad thing, but :
2) Too little actual adult content. I found a single blowjob, a couple of handjobs and mostly groping content in the game and it was lacklustre.
3) Very little actual netorare content. The majority of the content is from the viewpoint of the woman in the relationship and about her decisions (or not) on how to deal with her husband cheating on her and whether she's unfaithful or not.

Overall a well made game, just with little adult content (not enough for my liking) and a little too much writing (that I ended up mostly skipping through).

If that's your kind of thing, you may enjoy it more than I.

The game is excellent but developer takes too long to provide minimal updates. And there is no communication from the developer. So all in all, its a shame that such a great game is about to lose all itscharm

Slow burn that went too far with teasing imo. Basically zero sexual content after 3,5 years of develeopment and over 10 hours of playtime. The story and renders are decent but not good enough to make the game worth playing now.

In current state, I wouldnt recommend this game to anyone who seeks a good h-game.

Its version 0.74 already, so there IS a lot of content, but still almost no H-action despite constant hints and minor messes in this extreme slowburner.

You will read about 8-12h, you will enjoy it and as soon as you think you finally made it through the very well executed introduction and background for the lewd stuff FINALLY to begin it is...over. This will propaply be a 5/5 when its finished, at the moment it is just not there yet and if you don't want to tease yourself with reading a dozen hours without getting rid of your blue balls you might wanna wait for some later version before starting to invest the time.

This isn't really a porn game where you spam skip through dialogues and rub one and to the moneyshot scenes. This is a slow burn with great writing and organic dialogues, with a narrative building inner voice, which dives deep into the emotional chaos of a young couple, David and Anna, whose seemingly idyllic life unravels thanks to a web of manipulation, jealousy, and conspiracy. If you’re looking for a story-driven experience where choices matter, this is a jackpot.

Gameplay and Mechanics
Classic visual novel setup-click through, make choices, and watch shit go down. But unlike most games, your choices actually matter here, changing how the story twists and who ends up getting laid-or screwed over. The text convos feel real, like you’re spying on some dirty secrets. It’s more about the story and less about button-mashing for sex scenes, which is kinda refreshing for anyone who’s tired of shallow porn games.

Story
The narrative is the heart of A Perfect Marriage. It’s a tense, emotional rollercoaster where nothing is as simple as it seems. David and Anna are genuinely in love, but their world is turned upside down by outside forces hellbent on tearing them apart. Everyone’s got their own dirty agenda, and the game drags you through all the backstabbing, cheating, and twisted mind games. It’s not just horny scenes slapped on a story-it’s a full-on emotional rollercoaster where you actually care if Anna stays loyal or goes full-on slut mode. The slow burn makes the eventual sexy payoffs feel way more satisfying.

Characters
Loved every character as they are well written with a personality and purpose in mind. The Couple develop as you select your paths which may or may not be mutually exclusive to build the story further, the couple being the MCs of the story are organic and have depth to them even if they look banal in the start, The antagonists, which is literally everyone else in the game are also impressive, they add that spicy drama you crave, very realistic atmosphere, where nobody is a saint but everyone wants their toes in the mess of this "Perfect Marriage" for various reasons.

Graphics and Sound
High Quality and pretty renders, Anna looks amazing, from her toes to tits, even the details in hair and outfits are made meticulously.

Great use of sound, very fitting and feeling natural to the scenes. The moans and laughs are over exaugurated, but dont really take anything away from immersion.

Replay Value
With multiple routes, branching choices, and different endings, from pure souls of a Perfect Marriage, or nympho cheaters, you choose and replay for each path. Definitely worth diving back in to catch all the juicy twists.

Personal Opinion
Honestly, this game scratched a weird itch for me. It’s not just about banging hot girls, it’s about the messy, kinky drama that makes the sex scenes hit harder.
Just be patient with the pacing which may feel linear sometimes, but I think the payoff is worth it. The writing is sharp, the characters are memorable, and the drama is deliciously intense. I’m hooked.

Version 0.7.4b Well here we go, a multi protagonist VN with a few different routes and a review from someone who hates the definitions of NTR and who also generally dislikes most NTR titles found in the zone, but can occasionally find a gem in the mix.

I personally dislike cuck stuff and the standard small dick hubby, worthless crap and wife turns cum slut for BBC and blah blah.

An actual story, reasons other than she is pissed hubby looked at someone else, shit - a conspiracy to completely ruin a perfect marriage...might be good.

Very nice graphics, a young couple with a new kiddo and a very happy life, and very much in love. He isn't a cheater and she geniunely loves him. Rare.

Bad guys and girls abound with reasons and plans to fuck the entire happy couple up.

A slow burn yes, not much in the sex - but boy do you feel bad for the couple as the story unfolds. I played a good guy path and you cannot help but sympathize with the shit going on. Those uncomfortable emotions coming out like a good movie where shit is just going bad and you don't see the path out of it for the two protagonists.

So I gave this four stars for graphics, an actual story, tense emotions and a very well done trip so far.

Will it hold, I actually doubt it. The story is set up so far for some fairly serious fucking around by probably both of them as things are being torn asunder - but I actually hope the DEV does the thing you practically never see in any of these games - revenge, redemption, salvation, recovery (well after lots of fucking).

Or the Dev will rip it all asunder the bad guys and girls will win and we have the standard life sucks everyone's a slut and hubby is eating cum from a 60 year old prostitute he lives with, type shit that many folks are fans of ...why I have no idea why being miserable walking out of the theatre is a thing.

Here is to hoping we can have a good movie arc of "holy shit, they cannot recover from all this shit and conspiracy against them...like everyone is against them in this...everyone - too WOW, that was devilishly clever of them, look at that, they saved themselves, took out the bad guys and triumphed....ya like that will ever happen.

We will see. For now, I really enjoyed it, great graphics, an experience, and now I don't think I can every trust my neighbors or best friends anymore.

I really like the progression of the story, how the background of the characters are explored in detail. It is good to see an NTR game with multiple routes where the FMC is not a slut that jumps on every dick she sees. I felt that the much anticipated first seex scene (the BJ in the garage) could have been better. But other than that a good VN with a solid plot. My only other wish is to get faster updates

Story was good but it is totally boring and has missed opportunities. All the flashbacks and text messages get old. Nice slow burn... In some parts there a lot of text than required specially with keandra which feels kind of repetitive and filling. Otherwise great and engaging. Gets very interesting from ch 2 from anna perspective although that genre is now new but still the slowburn and character design etc. makes it a lot of work for your hand

I found out about this game in a recommendation by Team Equipe at a PM, on Literotica.
The original story published on that site is awesome, however IMO its development in this AVN goes beyond anything that had been written.
I consider "A Perfect Marriage" a masterpiece and certainly the best AVN I have ever played.

Anna is so hot and a great character. I would otherwise give this a 5/5 but, even though I get this is an NTR game, I really think the creepiness of the guys pursuing Anna needs to be dialed down somewhat. It's a little much.

God I hate NTR(and hate the thrill it gives while reading/watching it), but it's a solid game where you really feel all the emotions building with each dialogue and scene.

It's a game where anything that can go wrong, goes wrong, and you feel so angry with the story's progress. I love the story progression and would love to see how it unfolds. I still request and hope that Mr Palmer keeps the NTR avoidable. I would like to see at least one pure and love ending.

Simply put, this is the most satisfying netorare game I’ve ever played on this site.
The game’s polarizing ratings compelled me to leave this review. If you’re a fan of netorare, this is an absolute must-play. I’m not saying it’s the best, but it’s definitely the one that left me the most fulfilled.

I usually browse games based on ratings and tags, but I have to admit, F95 does a poor job when it comes to netorare tags. The biggest issue is the failure to separate netorare from netorase, which, in my view, are two completely different genres. Because of this, searching for netorare games becomes a tedious process of carefully sorting through the options.

After realizing my preference for netorare last year, I’ve played countless top-rated games in this category. Sadly, very few lived up to my expectations—whether it’s poor writing, subpar visuals, or characters that are all just caricatures of sluts and whores. Let’s not even mention the ones that mix in netorase. Games truly worth rating are rare.

That was until I stumbled upon this game. I was surprised to find it wasn’t among the top-rated ones.

I understand why the ratings are so split. It’s a slow-burn game, which isn’t for everyone. But based on the current progress, the pacing feels well-developed and mature, so I didn’t experience much frustration.

Let’s get to the point: why does this game stand out?

First and foremost, the writing is excellent. That’s not to say the author is Shakespeare, but the prose is enjoyable and serves its purpose effectively. This is a rare trait in adult games and an absolute must in netorare stories.

Why is good writing so important for netorare? Because the narrative is the very essence of the experience. If it’s just about the sex, you might as well watch porn—it’s quicker and more direct. But that wouldn’t deliver the same depth. It’s the nuanced writing and emotional entanglement between characters that make the payoff so much sweeter.

Netorare is a delicate balance. If the pacing is too slow, it gets frustrating; too fast, and it loses its flavor. I understand why slow-burn might not appeal to everyone. But without it, how would Anna’s eventual surrender to her desires be so impactful?

Personally, I find the slow-burn just as compelling—if not more so—than the climactic moments. I particularly enjoyed the erotic text messages; they were even more arousing than some of the sex scenes.

For a netorare game, there’s nothing better than a faithful husband and an independent wife with her own hidden desires. I’m thrilled the game catered to my preferences. I felt sorry for David and Anna, but their love for each other—and the gradual erosion of trust due to various coincidences—made Anna’s descent into disappointment and temptation all the more gripping.

Of course, the game isn’t perfect.

I felt the antagonist was too omnipotent, which took away some of the tension. I believe they should occasionally face setbacks, and David needs to fight back more. It might even be interesting to let players step into the antagonist’s shoes, choosing whether they succeed or fail.

Additionally, while I understand the antagonist’s "issues" are what drive her to create such an elaborate scheme, she feels too much like a one-dimensional lunatic. Couldn’t she be given a bit more humanity? Right now, she comes across as completely unhinged. I think there’s room to explore her character further—does she really feel no sympathy for Anna, her “good friend”?

By fleshing out the antagonist’s personality, she would become far more compelling. Perhaps the game could include options to influence her development, such as deciding whether she takes medication or how her relationship with Anna affects her actions. These choices could give players more control over the story's direction.

We already know the antagonist has a clear purpose, so why not let her participate more in the netorare dynamic? For instance, she could face her own challenges—whether bribing someone, being blackmailed, or making sacrifices to advance her plans. Adding this layer would make the game’s concept richer and more diverse without detracting from Anna’s central role.

Of course, I’m not saying Anna shouldn’t remain the main focus! But as the story delves deeper, the antagonist has effectively become the third protagonist. Making her journey more engaging would benefit the game overall.

This game boasts excellent writing and outstanding character development, making its events feel believable. The slow-burn pacing only enhances the experience, and as of now, I don’t see it as a flaw.

If you’re a fan of netorare, you won’t be disappointed!
