VN - Ren'Py - A Perfect Marriage [v0.7.5b] [Mr Palmer]

One of the best games in its genre. Anna's model is one of the hottest in AVN. I hope the slow burn is over and the story will move faster in future updates. This is much better than awam. I don't know how far the game is from completion, but I hope it won't disappoint, because the game is amazing right now!

Heart Pounding

I'm not being exaggerate but after playing it, this is really a strong NTR game. Tbh I really felt bad for MMC for getting blackmailed and ngl it hurts my heart seeing how difficult for his side, and the FMC having doubts of course then getting an affair with someone else really hurt me a lot. This shit happens in real life and I consider myself being a victim... I know a lot of people here really don't like the CUCK/NTR, but if that's what the devs doing then I'll respect it.

I wish it gets constant updates and hoping won't be abandoned soon, the scenes will be more in these updates since the first part and 2nd part is just POV of wife and husband which why were getting blue balled and teased by the dev, but yeah there has to be a starting story line first before the sexy scenes. Hoping the dev gets motivated since he isn't active in this platform. Also, hoping seeing this in the long term which will have a lot of content like 10gb since the game is just starting and there are a lot of characters in the game and for sure each of them will have spicy scenes. The AI video in the scenes is top notch here since it's still really look alike the FMC, compared to other games that their face gets different like the AI trying to make the character transform to a real person. Not sure if its really AI thou, but it has good animation. Also, the facial expression is really good.

MC is very handsome and FMC is so hot af, I like how the nips are pointy they are so perky and the body looked perfect and natural not some oversize bum and juggs. Devs really created them well which why it hurts to me that a handsome MMC's wife was just getting corrupted by some creepy old men. And his fucking best friend (Chris) taking advantage of her. Well that's what NTR specialty shit right there, it hits different when they look creepy other than being handsome.

Lastly, if the devs is seeing this, keep it up. I hope we get to see a good ending for the MMC and get what he deserves. I expect this to have multiple endings and for sure all of them will be so fucking bad and only 1 good with the MMC maybe also FMC getting pregnant from other men and that's gonna be very painful for me to play that will hit like a truck.

FreakyFriday's review states what I have to say very well, but I'll say it again.

This game has some limiting factors, but because its subject matter is what I'm interested in and because the main characters are interesting (and attractive), it's getting a 5/5 rating from me for now.

Pros:

• Good story. Really creative plot. Of course unbelievable at times but it's an AVN so we can't gripe about that. It's original and leads exactly to some great scenarios.
• Great MCs. I like both the FMC and the MMC. Their plight is sympathetic and it's impressive that they both remain fairly sympathetic as things go on.
• Good treatment of the subject matter. This game absolutely nails the hesitant, explorative cheating dynamic, the male protagonist who is unable to keep his wife trope, the confident friend ready to swoop in-- it does it all. Moments in the game, like the FMC texting the best friend in bed, are absolutely beautiful.
• Slow burn done right. I only just started this game, so I'm curious to see if the pace of development is as slow as others have mentioned, but this is one of the few games where I think the slow pace fits and where the game is strong for it. Plus, the FMC is actively being corrupted and tempted away, so things are happening.

Cons:

• Unfocused on love interests. I like choices, but there are lot at times, and makes the game more fractured and less deep.
• Too many creepy old men. Some people like that trope; I don't. The janitor I simply dislike and find that part of the game wasteful. Mr. Palmer I feel similarly about. He could be interesting to some but there are other interests I'd rather be pursuing. And there are a lot-- too many, at times, considering the stage of the game.
• Spread out corruption. The FMC is being slutty around a lot of men before she's done much with any. Sometimes it feels a bit unrealistic-- I'd prefer to see her progress more with some of the main LIs before she starts being slutty around the office, around the janitor, etc.
• Slow burn. As I said, I like this element, but it also is slow, and when the game ends you wish there was a little more. I'd love to see the game continue to move on in a positive direction in the coming year.

Overall, it's a great game if you're interested in the psychology of NTR/cheating/corruption. I thoroughly enjoyed it and the worst part of the game was when the content ended. I'm going to keep track of it and hope that it moves in a good direction.

Overall 5/5. I could see 4/5, but the game really hits on my favorite things.

My biases: I am an absolute sucker for beautiful FMCs and super hot cheating storylines especially with good tension and build up.

Premise of the game is about Anna and David, married couple who are going through a tough time in their marriage. You play as both David and Anna. The story is based on "How to Ruin a Perfect Marriage" from Literotica by TeamEquipe. Classic cheating/NTR story (maybe NTR is not the right term since you play as all sorts of MC and various perspectives, but there is definitely cheating involved).

What stands out to me is the hot scenarios that the game cooks up, which I am sucker for. I really enjoy cheating FMC games where there is a good build up with multiple hot and heavy scenarios as the FMC succumbs further and further to cheating.

Positives:
1) Excellent renders and animations. lots of detail and polish to the scenes. not much to complain about

2) Anna is one of the most attractive FMCs in my opinion

3) fitting background music and soundtrack. not intrusive and actually does a good job of adjusting to the emotion well.

4) the story is intriguing and in particular the pacing and build-up is incredibly hot. these were one of the few games where I played for hours into the early morning just cause of how hot the build up was. For example, the shower scene was one of the HOTTEST scenes I have found in a cheating-focused AVN in my opinion.

Cons
1) it can be quite a lot of text. For the most part, there isn't that much bloat IMO; there definitely is not the all-so-common "show don't tell" mistake that many lesser AVNs make by wasting tons of dialogue on useless descriptions or scene setting that is obvious from the visuals. However, inner dialogue does show up a decent amount and if the game were to be more polished, it would end up with less lines of internal or external dialogue, not more.

2) there are too many branches and the game teeters too close to being too slow-burn. I've read the original Literotica story this game is based on and if this AVN adapted it one-to-one, the game would already be done. In large part, I think far too many scenes are devoted to characters or story branches that don't serve the overall purpose IMO. In addition, even taking the perspective of a single path, it inches towards the side of being TOO slow burn. There are sexual scenes in my opinion that could've been combined and still created a good overarching build-up and tension throughout the story. I feel like part of the game development is following a typical check-the-box exercise where path has first base, then second base, third base, and so on which is a bit methodical and leads to overkill in terms of slow burn IMO.

3) the villain in the game is a bit too overpowered IMO and makes it seem a tad unrealistic. in terms of porn games/AVNs, not so much, but just in terms of realistic scenarios it does seem out there at times.

Overall, I give the game 5/5 because I love games that tease you, bring the FMC slowly to cheating, and up the stakes as the game goes on. However, this game does err on the slow burn side so I can see it being too slow for some; if the game were to be further polished, it would definitely be a bit faster paced and in particular excess branches and love interests would be cut. But given my personal biases, I am willing to overlook that because of the well done build up of tension, cheating, and teasing and I am also okay without full sex cheating so I wasn't left feeling blue-balled in my first play through.

Nothing, it's been three years since development began, and not even the developer's premise about the slow pace of the story and updates can justify the game's current state. I have to say that the story has become much more focused on how many cuckolds Anna will cheat on and how many men she will fuck. Instead of the initial premise about the couple and their problems, we've gone from MC and FMC clashing to FMC being a slut. The graphics haven't seen any significant improvements, many games still have obvious bugs, and the audio is ridiculous. I think three years is a good time to evaluate, even though the product is still at a 35% stage, which is the worst thing of all.

HARD PASS FOR ME!

Even with the lack of sex ( only 1 short scene near the beginning ) This would be an interesting story if the wife could "REALLY" reject these ass hats...
OR if there was ZERO story from the husbands POV.... If the Husband was not a POV character I would enjoy turning the wife ( as the sole POV ) into a real whore... ALternately.. having the story told from the "Other Guy" perspective ... as long as there is POV from the Male perspectve getting cheated on.. it's a NO!

It's slow but the story telling is amazing. I feel invested in each character. It's hasn't had a H-scene yet but God damn the build up is soon good and tense. One of the best if not the best avn I've played. Cannot wait for the story to continue.

But there really is no excuse to inflict players with constant flashbacks, dull monologue, repetitive dialogue, just to drag out play time. In the last update v0.75a, a significant fraction of renders were just duplicates with slight adjustments repeated over tortorously stale dialogue. That is just stuffing the game with low effort renders with no payoff.

This game is the best ive played so far, a bit slow in its updates, but really captivating. The slow degradation, and the unavoidable corruption is magnificent.

Unfortunately, the dev is way too mediocre, which significantly affects the game’s rating… it takes him almost a year to release a new update that barely offers five minutes of content, and even then, he has no problem charging $3 for his cheapest subscription, always coming up with excuses like being sick, not having enough time because of work, or even that a hurricane hit his house…

Awesome renders and story but the lack of sex scenes is out of this world,the pace is the slowest i've seen in this forum.it's gonna take 5 years to have interesting scenes on this one. if you want sex scenes,you will be disappointed.

If you don't like sex in games, this game is for you. This one is long blueballing, the updates are far between and consist of mostly fluff. each update doesn't last more than 5 minutes. Usually its 3 Months between updates so 4 updates a year of a total of 20 minutes gameplay. You do the math if you think its worth to sub such a game.

Review of 0.7.5a (focusing on NTR/cheating)

tl;dr - A good game, ruined by a slow burn that means there's such little adult content it's almost not an adult game.

Pros :
1) Good renders, attractive models
2) Well written
3) Decent scenes
4) Lots of cheating content from the PoV of the wife

Cons :
1) Too much verbosity in the writing. It feels like a novella with the sheer amount of writing in the game - not necessarily a bad thing, but :
2) Too little actual adult content. I found a single blowjob, a couple of handjobs and mostly groping content in the game and it was lacklustre.
3) Very little actual netorare content. The majority of the content is from the viewpoint of the woman in the relationship and about her decisions (or not) on how to deal with her husband cheating on her and whether she's unfaithful or not.

Slow burn that went too far with teasing imo. Basically zero sexual content after 3,5 years of develeopment and over 10 hours of playtime. The story and renders are decent but not good enough to make the game worth playing now.

In current state, I wouldnt recommend this game to anyone who seeks a good h-game.

Its version 0.74 already, so there IS a lot of content, but still almost no H-action despite constant hints and minor messes in this extreme slowburner.

You will read about 8-12h, you will enjoy it and as soon as you think you finally made it through the very well executed introduction and background for the lewd stuff FINALLY to begin it is...over. This will propaply be a 5/5 when its finished, at the moment it is just not there yet and if you don't want to tease yourself with reading a dozen hours without getting rid of your blue balls you might wanna wait for some later version before starting to invest the time.

This is a slow burn with great writing and organic dialogues, with a narrative building inner voice, which dives deep into the emotional chaos of a young couple, David and Anna, whose seemingly idyllic life unravels thanks to a web of manipulation, jealousy, and conspiracy. If you’re looking for a story-driven experience where choices matter, this is a jackpot.

Gameplay and Mechanics
Classic visual novel setup-click through, make choices, and watch shit go down. But unlike most games, your choices actually matter here, changing how the story twists and who ends up getting laid-or screwed over. The text convos feel real, like you’re spying on some dirty secrets. The Couple develop as you select your paths which may or may not be mutually exclusive to build the story further, the couple being the MCs of the story are organic and have depth to them even if they look banal in the start, The antagonists, which is literally everyone else in the game are also impressive, they add that spicy drama you crave, very realistic atmosphere, where nobody is a saint but everyone wants their toes in the mess of this "Perfect Marriage" for various reasons.

Graphics and Sound
High Quality and pretty renders, Anna looks amazing, from her toes to tits, even the details in hair and outfits are made meticulously.

Great use of sound, very fitting and feeling natural to the scenes. The moans and laughs are over exaugurated, but dont really take anything away from immersion.

Replay Value
With multiple routes, branching choices, and different endings, from pure souls of a Perfect Marriage, or nympho cheaters, you choose and replay for each path. Definitely worth diving back in to catch all the juicy twists.

Personal Opinion
Honestly, this game scratched a weird itch for me. It’s not just about banging hot girls, it’s about the messy, kinky drama that makes the sex scenes hit harder.
Just be patient with the pacing which may feel linear sometimes, but I think the payoff is worth it. The writing is sharp, the characters are memorable, and the drama is deliciously intense. I’m hooked.
