RPGM - Completed - A Red Flower Shining in the Moonlight [v1.03] [Natsuon Production]

The art is good and there is moaning.

The game is fairly short (took me about 4 hours to get to an ending the first time), but then I made the mistake of saving an ending over my main file, so I had to play it again, which only took about an hour to reach the end again.

My biggest gripes would be that the way to unlock the happy ending is hidden in the gallery (and that you don't get any kind of notification that you unlocked it when you meet the right conditions) and that you end up having to watch the normal end at least 3 times if you want to see all the possible endings, and the normal ending is 5~ minutes long, even if you hold ctrl to skip the whole thing. It would've been nice if the game offered an option to skip the normal ending segment when you select the happy ending.

The art and CGS are really top notch. But the actual game itself is horrible, and doesn't make the naughty stuff worth sticking around for. It's a grind fest, it's boring (attack, h-attacks that don't truly benefit you in any way aside from the one that instant kills enemies, pointless block, heal with a potion), and feels tacked on in a way where a developer thought that their game needed combat, but didn't really want it to be too hard, but they definitely wanted it to be slow, grindy, and stale. It's bad enough to not want to see all of the scenes the game has to offer fairly.

Also, it has the cardinal sin of the dash being pretty slow. Not the slowest I've used, but it's definitely not great.

This game is really good but still have room for improvement.

First, you need to be aware there is only NTR roads and no "Pure" one, which is unfortunate. The NTR is included in the storywhich provides justification for this. However, the corruption of one of the two female characters is too fast too early imo. In addition, the endings are a bit meh and feel rushed.

Second, you can feel that there was a will to integrate elements into the gameplay without being totally successful. You can play both male and female characters, but male character is only about collecting NTR scenes. For the other part, fights are really simple and while you can unlock H attack, the battle mecanisms do not work as well as other games like Karryn's Prison. Most of the H attacks are unfortunatly strategically pointless.

Finally, the art is really good and there are a good content of various scenes with different kinks. Some scenes are animated.

Overall the game is still good for the story and the great H content, but the gameplay can still be pushed further.

I really didn't get the high rating or the hype with some of the rating. The best part of this game is the art for the Female character and that's it really. They could had found a way to balance the whole NTR thing but it just doesn't work.

One of my favorite game. Gameplay is quite easy but it's not why we are here. To be honnest the story is pleasant to read. But the CGs, it's quite something !

My main bad point to the game is the lack of content for the Mitsuki (blue hair kunoichi), it's really a shame. I think she deserved her own game.

man i loved the game and really would want to give it 5 stars but i couldnt
the first issue i didnt like was using mouse during fights i would prefer whole keyboard instead
second issue was getting to real ending which is locked until u see all other endings
and i think the game was too short it had too little scenes corruption of girls should be drank like good wine slowly and pleasurably not to have sex at 3rd approach but molest them a bit more, to be fair i never say i want game to be longer when its bad, to do that i would have more villains and more scenes with little baby steps for example i would separate principal and train molestor to be 2 different villains train molestor would be staying on train and station while principal would work on rinka in the school
not getting any scenes in the gym was total waste for me

so now to the good things story is good, interactions are fun to read, girls are pleasurable to look at, altho some scenes could have better art
i dont know why there are so little animations but i have my suspicion they werent as great and the work to get them in the game was not worth it, if dev had to put extra work for them they should be at least above average looking
i also liked how we can check on the house where scenes are available and not go looking for them almost at all more games should be implementing this system i think its very nice for story readers like myself

Compared to the creator's last "game" this is a massive step in the right direction.

Unfortunately, it falls to many of the common problems with stuff like this. There is a little more setup to the events, but it still falls short of the really good games in the genre.

It's not well written at all, with a weird corruption pace and characters that don't really have any character to them. There are auxiliary systems for combat which are only there really for flavor, which I honestly think acts like a decent enough palate cleanser to avoid becoming an outright scene collector.

In this case, good art can do a lot of heavy lifting, but not enough to propel it to a good H-game.

I played this game and I feel for the animation trap, this game has 4 animations, or 8 if you count the different perspective, gameplay is boring, this game is more of a scene collector than a game, but the thing that disappointed me the most was the story...
It's a corruption type of story, you won't be able to save anyone, this is a very straightforward with some branches that follows the usual corruption stuff and don't rely add to the story, and because most of the game is NTR, the protagonist don't really get anything, most scenes are just images so I just played to end the story

Usually, RPGM games have a skippable story that you just overlook. However, it is so well-written that it feels like you are playing and reading a manga at the same time, even if you read it at high speed.

Not a masterpiece, but really great game, starting from the story, ending with kink and CGs. Someone could found boring fight -> story -> HScenes loot, but when it is well written and made, it feels great.

And of course my favorite kink the jobs: from waitress to dancer, wooowhh!!!

Highly recommended.

Excellent NTR/Corruption title.

The Good

• Great art with some few animations.
• Nice flavors of netori. Orc/Goblin, Blackmail, Rich bastard, Shota (kinda), etc
• Good middle ground between a well developed slow corruption and a CG speedrun.

The Bad

• This is just a scene collector. Although the games intro may leave you to believe the contrary, don't go in expecting world or character development.
• For some reason combat exists, but you literally attack twice and you win. Thankfully fights are very sparce. You are better off pretending combat doesnt exist.
• There is no CG gallery, only scene replay.

Amazing NTR rpg game. The art is top notch as is the story that goes along with it. This developer's first game was a decent one but it felt a little empty in terms of story. This game kept me wanting more and more from the world he has created. I really enjoyed the reality and fantasy world aspect as well. The perfect amount of "grind" and sexy time balanced out. Would definitely recommend this game to any NTR enjoyer out there. Looking forward to his future works.

as someone who doesn't care for things like NTR and Ugly Bastards, I found the game to be good. It could have been great, but it is lacking in a few places. The best thing about the game is the art. Good art, scenes and amount of content. However it lacks a little bit in everything else. The world, battle scenes, story and side jobs could have done with a little more work. Overall a 4/5 for me.

This game has the same faith as almost every other NTR game out there: great art, horrible gameplay.

Same deal as their previous title, now with a little bit (just a little bit) more quality. There are a few animations, there's a battlefuck system, story, side jobs/minigames but every one of those things is implemented in a mediocre way.

really dissapointing given the top tier art, but nontheless if you are looking for a quick fap this might be good enough, just don't expect anything else.

The game represents a classical formula of NTR game where you, as a main character live you days watching the slow corruption (hidden or obvious) of your loved one. But that one has a twist, in that it actually have a story. And a gameplay. Cause you can also play as the GF and move the story forward.

The gameplay itself is pretty simple. It has some RPG and combat, which are not typical RPGM fights, but a separate system. It even has some H-attacks like in Karryn's prison. But it almost never get used in the game itself. But can be used in future by the author, its a nice baseline for the system. And also there are some other mini-games. Artwork is good, and its one of the best parts of the game.

But the main part of course is the story. It is good. Not great, it has its downsides. You can play on the "good" path by the GF, or switch to MC to have corruption path progressed. And those paths are so not connected, that it damages the narrative. It has its steps by step opening by the amount of sexuality, but overall the progress in those side branches of corruption doesn't change the main one, besides the ending. And that "corruption" progress sometimnes seems a little bit rushed. Like okay, there is magic kingdom and magic spells to mind control, but still it happens too quickly.

Overall its a good NTR game. Its definetly above the average level. But has its weak points as the dissociation of the main and side plots. Too simple gameplay mechanics or medium level writing. But in the end its a good game and I think most of the genre lovers will enjoy it.

A NTR VN disguised as a rpg with the usual very suspicious dialogs that barely serve as a time waster between two hentai scene, which are rather well drawn to be honest.

There is an ersatz of combat system that is actually useless but could have provide some interest with a minimum of ambition which was clearly not plan in the making of this game.

In my opinion it's a waste of time to "play" it.

The other reviews confuse me, game is clearly an otome love story where you play as two female protagonists trying to find love on the backdrop of a clash between the mundane and supernatural. The love interests are the bestial goblin lord, the domineering principal, the confident shota, the suave nobleman, or the pathetic cuck.

I'll say it is between a 2 and a 3-star rating, but not by much.


Pros
+Lovely art with female protagonists and antagonist.
+Some sex scenes are nicely done, putting ugly bastards aside.
+Some of the cut-in animation, like side job and BF looked nice; it's a shame that's it.

Mid
=Side job, it could have been better.
=Battle Fuck... Well, the concept was there, I guess.
=Optional NTR? (Though someone commented you have to see NTR scenes to get a true ending?)

Cons
-Shallow. Worlds feel barren.
-Combat is pointless and has little variety.
-Male protagonist is there just to trigger heart scenes.
-Item shopping is a joke. You got potions and corruption stones and both become worthless after a point.
-Maps are boring to roam through with enemy encounters feeling forced. (Fucking goblin in every passage.)
-Music feels like your staple RPGM tunes. But this looks like a low-budget product, so maybe I will give that a pass.

? NTR? Optional there as mentioned above. For me, if the need to see other endings is true to get true ending then this will be a con.


Honestly, this feels like a rush project trying to do many things and failing at them. The ideas were there, sure, but the execution is sadly lacking in many aspects. I believe it could have been a much better game if it capitalized just on one concept. Hell the goblin fights could even be more engaging if they were center-focused on BF mechanics.

Game had potential, but it’s another case of cool idea, trash execution. Sad, 'cause the CGs and animations are chef’s kiss.




Is NTR avoidable?
Yup. Because it doesn’t f***ing exist in the first place.

There is a way i like to describe games like this.

I love ntr and i love searching for ntr games, but A LOT of them range from dissapointing to mediocre. There is always something off with either presentation, scope,gameplay or execution.

This game is average and by the numbers, but is average done well. It knows what it wants to be, it focusess on it and executes it well.
Yes the corruption is fast and the fmc seem to do a 180 after getting horny enought but it works well enought.

For example something that should be a netorare basic, how do you present the ntr? This game shows the mcs perspective and then inmidiately lets you get a better look from the fmcs perspective. Such a basic structure that a decent amount of games fail at and either dont bother to you show at all or bendover backwards to have the MC the did but not do anything about it wich completely kills the vibe unless you are into netorase.

There is a lot of things that could've been expanded to make it truly shine but as it stands, it is good enought.
