An actual interesting premise where the characters have legitimate goals that makes you want to try all the different endings both good and bad. This kind of story is rare and I haven't seen in a while in a genre thats getting more stale and the Chatgpt MTL is actually a solid translation

EDIT: A bit short towards the end once you get to the parts with most of the content but still enough to satisfy before you find a new game to move on too

Fun game if you like branching paths, the translation was okay, the main girl you control is hot, and the female succubus is not bad, although the main douche-evil guy was just generic, and the game would be better with free roam erotic scenes, but all in all, I am looking forward to the devs future games.

A pretty little game with excellent machine translation, even if there is the occasional wrong pronoun that makes you go "WTF am I reading" for a moment here and there.

The art is perfectly adequate in my opinion, but the game lacks in almost every other department. The characters are not really developed, relying more on their respective archetype to fill the void. The erotic scenes seem equally underdeveloped and they will probably make your erectile tissue somewhat sad and disappointed.

For this to be the group's first game, its very good. With that in mind, many of the cons I have for this game can be fixed next time around.

    Pros:
    • The game is mostly fair when it comes to not corrupting Celia. There are points where you are forced to raise your corruption because of the story, but most times, you can avoid h scenes without thinking how unfair it was. The only time I got mad was in EP 4 where Krone forced an h scene and Celia could have lost her virginity as a result and it's like, “I want the slow burn corruption, not the forced one.”
    • The game’s story is good. There is a double corruption going on so it's not just NTR, but cheating as well. Celia has a choice to commit the act, but Hayato doesn’t (which will be listed in the cons). Celia and Hayato can escape together so long as they play Sadi’s game where Celia can find all 4 numbers scattered around the basement and by completing certain tasks. Celia is pretty smart but she lacks the magic to avoid hypnosis spells. Hayato comes in with the protection spell to stop her from getting hit. Over the course of the six episodes, Hayato gets more corrupted thus is unable to protect Celia opening up more chances of corruption.
    • There are multiple endings depending on how much you caved into the double sex demon trap. Hayato can fall completely half-way through making the chance in the game rules more apparent that there is no longer a win condition. You both need to escape or you're doomed.
    • The humor in this game is pretty funny. It almost reminds me of Disgaea humor with how ridiculous the demons are and how casual they are in the library.
    • H scenes are sexy. The slow burn is on point for most scenes.
    • The Two Heart system is really well implemented. Depending on where you are in the game and how far the corruption is determines the current status of the two. Again, it's easier for Celia to maintain her determination while Hayato easily falters. You can see on the bottom left of the main screen if Hayato’s dialogue changes.
    • Sadi and Merril’s plan is rather smart. It tests how committed the two young lovers are and if they are willing to stay committed. Both play into their insecurities at a few points (Celia is allowed to see right through Sadi’s words though).
    • Sadi and Merril are also rather well-written for villains. At first, Sadi’s notes are all praising him and he won’t take negative comments as facts. Episode 3 and 4 give a different perspective of his character when trying to play mind games with Celia. He claims he’s not all that powerful and that he’s not even the main demon, so he feels insecure about his appearance and powers. Other demons (not humans being corrupted) mention how Sadi is a really strict guy but rewards those who do well. I wonder if the books in the library have truth in them. Merril also seems to have a backstory and takes offense to being called a demon without a heart. We know she has some virtue as shown in the true ending, but what happens will be based on the sequel.
    • The AP system is rather smart. In Episode 1, it’s used up quickly as a way to explain how the gameplay works, but AP determines how many times you can falter before you succumb to Sadi in that chapter.
    • There’s a really good plot twist in the middle of the game under the assumption Celia isn’t deeply corrupted. It makes the true ending worth it given how the foreshadowing is really good. (We do see a lot of it in episode 1 and how Hayato reacts to certain information).
    • Art is great
    • This is the company’s first game. That in itself is impressive because there are no bugs in the game. The magic circle is in every area in case the game bugs out, but I haven’t experienced any bugs except in the h-gallery after you beat the game.
    Cons:
    • The H gallery is bugged. Images don’t always show up and you think the game is frozen. The H gallery also isn’t clear what are CG pictures and what are replay scenes. The way the H Gallery is formatted is a mess. It should be grouped by the girl experiencing the sexual encounter and not CG. This means Celia should be listed first and Merrill second. Other characters are in their own section. I also think that CG and scene should be in the same image because the labeling is listed twice.
    • Not all the H scenes are in the gallery. The game tells you to save at certain points to get the scenes, but the problem with this is that there is no real indication on where you should save to get specific scenes not in the gallery.
    • A lot of plot points are left on a thread because this is only the first part of this series. I’m fine with this because it leaves me wanting to know more, but there is so much stuff going on that you just want to be given more to the lore.
    • Hayato is weak as fuck and would not survive the winter. I went for the best ending of avoiding every h scene and denying the chance to increase corruption unless forced. Hayato doesn’t seem to care until the very end where the option actually matters to protect Celia. It made me not believe in him because of how he just stopped trying to use his magic to protect her mid-way into the game and while it makes sense to believe he can’t use it all the time. It should be damn clear that he’s not doing a good job. In the true ending, the fact he can still get tempted is a nice touch and I appreciate how he apologized for getting tempted and he won’t mess up anymore, but of course, if there is a sequel, it means there will be more chances for him to fuck up his relationship with Celia.
    • Krone is such a wasted character. The sequel will probably give her more to do. We see a flashback dedicated to showing her lose her comrades in front of her because of the succubus, only to be kidnapped and mindbroken by Sadi. The thing that pissed me off the most was her pretending to still be upset about everything and not knowing the whole truth of the war, but then she just comes off as villainous using mind control to force more corruption when it wasn’t needed in this particular scene. I lost any sympathy for her at that point and hopefully the sequel can show how far gone she is.
    • Not much music. I think it would have done good with some of the sexy RPGMaker BGM.

Overall, would recommend playing it because without context, the h gallery doesn't make much sense.

I like the branching paths. This being their first major game (or was it outright first game as a group), I think they did pretty well in creating a story that I can feel somewhat invested in.

There's a lot of paths you can take. The ending is mainly divided between... six or so final outcomes, but due to the way the story is structured, the whole journey feels more personal and satisfying than it should be, despite its length.

The art is pretty good. Not actually that much lewd scenes, but I find the build-up to be perfect. If you're looking for that hardcore action, this isn't your game, but I'm looking NTR games where I can feel invested, and being able to chart the path for both the girl and the guy (with an option for where the guy betrays but the girl doesn't, even!) just makes me invested in the scenes building up to the endings.

It isn't the most hardcore stuff, but man did I enjoy it.

Overall the game felt like it was too short, didn't get that much time to explore the corruption, especially on the boy's end. This also meant the common path before the story can diverge at all is a bulk of what happens.

With that in mind though, scenes were decent, and I enjoyed the multiple endings.

It's a generous 3/5. The quality of the art is great (the characters are attractive and well drawn, as you should honestly expect from games nowadays), however the depicted scenes are boring. On top of that, it has a limited amount of art which is frequently reused, mainly with the tan girl. Even though the game is short, there's a bit too much reuse of assets.

The story isn't unique, but it's not too bland for a single playthrough. With that said, it's not interesting enough to warrant me replaying it to legitimately unlock the other endings. In that same vein, there are a decent amount of choices which do matter for the sake of progression, but in all honesty there isn't really any reason to do a route besides the pure NTR route if you're playing this porn game for the porn (by doing so you will only miss two scenes that are unlocked for you at the end of the game). If you're playing this porn game for the story, then perhaps spend your time with a different game.

Speaking of it being a game, Tear of the Crypt falls into the awkward zone of not having enough gameplay to be a good RPG, but not having enough story/scenes to be a VN. As a result, you get a poor man's version of each. The corruption pacing (mainly for the blonde girl) is also a bit fast for my liking. It goes a bit over the fence into "unreasonably fast" territory.

To end on a bit of a positive, having the one antagonist become uncorrupted in favor of the "good male" is a nice addition as it gives the game a little bit of depth and a bit of a chiasmus-like NTR. Also to note, the MTL isn't really that bad like some others claim. Yes, there's a wrap issue or two and the occasional incorrect pronoun, but it is legible without much effort.

It is short (like 2-3 hours), but even at that I'm on the fence of if I'd recommend it. I suppose if you like the look of the blonde girl and tan girl, then go for it. If you don't, then don't bother.

Loved every step of this game even the MTL is fine though it does do some gender bender adjustments the game itself is so amazing to me that i could care less.
The art is solid the content is solid and i have definetly gone back multiple times trying to unlock Scenes and its fun!

    [Review of v1.0.2 on 7/11/2023]

Corruption, Mind Control, and Netorare focused RPGM without any battles or grinding.

It's mostly a choose-your-own-adventure style VN with some baby's first puzzles laid around in it. The gameplay is mostly a contrivance to create breaks between the events; if you're trying to play an actual game, look elsewhere.

What makes this still worth your time is the writing. The MTL is pretty awful to read, but between the horrid grammar, incorrect pronouns, and occasional syntax mistake is the scripting of a very tastefully handled relationship corruption fantasy. This is some grade-A corruption fantasy.

Incubus wants to corrupt the female heir of the goddess, which is your character, while the flunky succubus wants to corrupt the boyfriend, male heir of the hero... who is also played by you, albeit less often. The whole game essentially boils down to letting you choose how often these two characters give in to their rapidly increasing sexual deviancy.

The artwork might be bland for some folks, but I found it serviceable. There's no voice acting, and places you might expect to hear certain highly proliferated RPGM sound effect loops do not have them. This isn't a stellar game by any stretch, but altogether, this game is competently done where it counts and it knows what it was trying to be.

I can't call this perfect, but I enjoyed it.

I liked this game, if there were more "variability" scenes, I would replay it again and again with different choices, otherwise, just a good game and beautiful art, if you are a fan of NTR you will like it, if not, then too, because the main characters are not husband and wife ;)

Pretty good game, I liked it.

    From the pros:
    1. Not long, not short.
    2. Replay value due to multiple endings.
    3. The plot uses seemingly standard clichés, but the presence of two protagonists allows you to look at old things in a new way.
    4. Pretty good art.
    5. No grind.
    Cons:

    1. Art is repeated sometimes/variants of the same.
    2. MTL
    3. A cliché, albeit a well-played one, is still a cliché.

      Decent 4\5

So, for shits, I decided to play the game mostly legit and try to get through all the puzzles and...

Is it weird that I actually disliked the sex scenes? Not for any art reason, I just disliked having to go through them. Here I am, trying to go through, a virgin, uncorrupted playthrough, and they're forcing me to drink semen to answer questions and shit. For this reason, I ended up hating the succubus characters a ton, and this hatred rendered me basically immune to temptation.

As you can tell, I am very sane.

The story however, was intriguing if, albeit, too short. Sequels are implied to be in the works, though not necessarily by the same author, if I have that right? In any case, I was kind of getting irrationally angry at the underhanded nature of the demons. And then, now with a clear head I realize I was getting angry at demons, the villains of the story, being underhanded, in a story where they are attempting to double NTR.

This game is fairly good, but it suffers from the issue that all other games with avoidable NTR suffer from.

They don't flesh out the vanilla stuff. After beating the game, there was essentially like, a single scene dedicated to vanilla sex. Out of 6 chapters, only the last two contain scenes where the main characters talk.

This game could have been expanded, and the relationship between the main characters talk and devise a plan to escape. Rather than separate them entirely, the two should have been imprisoned, but due to their respective mutually granted divine protections are relatively resilient to just being brain controlled by magic, which forces the demons to actually have to drive a wedge in their relationship and undermine that protection without hitting the magic 'mind control' button.

Mind control is the worst trope, okay? If you control someone else's body remotely, that's a type of body horror and is... useful narratively. Possession is also a bit body horror esque, the loss of autonomy. Mind control is like posession, but with no horror and no intrigue to it.

Anyhow, good game, should be longer, wish they made it longer and wish it wasn't so hard leaning into NTR if they're going to give us the option to choose how the ending plays out, but there is avoidable NTR, so you cucks who hate NTR and always want to know if the NTR is avoidable can shut up.

It's always bothered me how the True Ending always has the least content.

    +Good Story.
    +No bugs.
    +Unique.

~Multiple endings, but very short. 3h all content.

-Mediocre art. Reused assets on many scenes.
-Slow movement if you don't cheat to speed up your character...
-Music not playing all the time.

Rev @ Tear of the Crypt [v1.0.2]

    It's average.

Art's nice, but there isn't a whole lot.

Writing is as rote as rote can be. Open Notepad, hold the Windows key together with the letters 'N', 'T', and 'R' and you'll get a template for this plot. True story.

Porn was fine, but predictable and ... 'tried & true'.

Gameplay is simplistic. It tries to be an escape the room but it isn't, it tries to show corruption but it doesn't, it tries to be nonlinear and fails. Kind of a dull letdown.

TLDR: its another take on That Japanese NTR Plot Everybody Keeps Making.

    Anomaly33

It's okay. If you like NTR I'd give it one or two playthroughs on medium/full corruption routes but it's nothing revolutionary and the negatives are quite significant to the experience.

+ There are a good amount of choices that matter.
+ Art of the females is solid.

= Personally I'd prefer if you could completely avoid the male NTR victim getting any action; when I play NTR games I want non-NTR to be avoidable lol. I acknowledge that that's completely subjective though.
= Pacing of corruption is reasonable enough but still a little fast for my liking.

    - Translation is bad. Not the absolute worst ever (you can understand the story) but there are a ton of the usual word wrap issues and incorrect pronoun usage. You'll be going to the text log often.
    - Scenes are basically just 1 CG then the same CG with cum slapped on. Desperately needed animation and/or more images.
    - No pregnancy.
    - Very little effort was put into the incubus's art.
    - Too much walking and fetching for the sake of walking and fetching. Especially in a game that really wants you to do multiple playthroughs.

I had a pretty good time playing this. even though I'd consider myself a standard NTR hater. I liked how the corruption includes everyone, both the MC and her lover and the choices you make affect the other. Maybe it's because there are no "leftovers" in this game when lovers are stolen, I am fine with the NTR; in fact, I'm glad everyone can have a "happy" ending.

The art is pretty good and there is no Ugly Bastard. However, the skipping is too slow in a game that is built upon replayability to see different scenes and endings.
Translations are rather good except the use of wrong pronouns. but that's expected in any type of MTL.
All in all, I'd say it is Good. Not great enough to earn a 5*, but entertaining enough to warrant a try.

I finished the game playing the corruption path. I would like to say that I really like the premise of this game. It reminds me of Cucking Trap which is a game where you control both male and female protag to a certain extent and have to resist temptations.

While the story is good, what made me rate this only 3 stars is the animation and art. Right when it really matters, the point where the male/female lead falls into corruption and have sex... the art is censored?? Like seriously? Its all black with just text. Now you can say that it is to add to the point of mystery, which I won't agree because that point where they finally fall is a really good fapping point. Ends up you get blue balled.

I continued till the end and the final scene where the FMC gets turned into a succubus too.. I was thinking, finally maybe there will be some real action.. and the game ends. Showing me the credits. So.. there really isn't any sex scenes in this game. I don't consider a small cut out of 2 lower body parts joined together as a sex scene. That is pure laziness. It is really a pity a game with so much potential gets ruined by lazy art.

    TL.DR
Great story, poor art and animation. Really disappointing.
