First of all I will say that while I give it 4 stars I think that this game has many weak points. I'm gonna talk about each of them and why I end up giving those 4 stars.
-First of all the storyline: In itself it's quite short and linear, because I don't want to spoil it I'm gonna talk just about it, you basically have to find items across the town and you can take as much time as you want.
Basically the only risk that you will have would be doing something while not having x item or taking a stupid choice. It's quite short so you don't have to worry too much.
-Routes: I have played all 3 routes which are apprentice, conspiracy and murder. If we talk about which one makes more sense at the start it would be apprentice, but if we talk about which one is more funny to play then it would be murder. The routes don't truly affect a lot of things, more like it adds tiny variations, the plot overall don't change.
-Characters: While I don't have many problems with most characters there are 3 characters that I would have expected more which are:
*Victoria: This is a perfect character to have made something more special, in the sense that she literally wants you to charm her with a motive quite... let's say doubtful, in fact she is one of the few characters that have most of her personality untouched, I would totally expect that she being quite into the occult would join you with second intentions and perhaps some way to break your charm at some point. The fact that she doesn't do anything be it positive or negative was quite a disappointment.
*Tina: I would guess that the first character with special powers, in fact one so useful and incredible such as being able to absorb magic power and share it with another person would have more importance. Basically it's a character that shouldn't be so easy to charm her and that she should have her own storyline, at the very least I would like that "her rescue" was more of a timed event, if you take too long, Davy charms her and it will create more problems for you.
*Sarah: The niece of our good sir Roland, personally this is the character that I feel more disappointed about, you see if I was the niece of a great mage and my uncle ends up giving the magic book to the first person that appears on his door then I would have quite a few issues, even more when she has quite a bit of knowledge about magic.
Basically I just feel that those interesting characters are kind of wasted.
-Rival and storyline advancing: I have quite a few issues with this point, first of all there are some events that feel like they should be temporal ones, like "rescuing" Tina, the sister of Davy, even after 40 days she will remain trapped waiting for Davy to arrive and charm her, kind of weird I must say, in fact I find it weird that while he had time to charm your own sister he didn't take his time with his sister. I just find it so weird.
Another point is that time doesn't advance anything in this world, it only matters if it's a temporal event, basically you can just take your time to advance and only worry if there is a temporal event so you don't lose it. I would guess that someone with a charm power would continue to charm people if you don't stop him, but the game doesn't respond to anything like that.
-Spells: Well there are some spells that are used more than others, the only spell that truly has little value is transform, basically using it would just add a penis to the character image, but the character won't use it. I mean it, in fact playing as a female character seems a bit unrewarding because almost no characters will penetrate you, I would say that it is better to use a male character rather than a female one, but well it doesn't influence a lot your gender, I kind of hoped that it would.
-Interactions: Okay this is the game worst aspect, basically people in this game won't interact with you at all, just so you know what I consider an interaction would be for example that if you charmed your sister she may make you a "night visit", or perhaps while you are at home she will feel horny, or perhaps she may want to talk about various things or you may find her somewhere unexpected and have an encounter. Things like that don't happen, basically you will get 1 or 2 events after charming and a few things if it's quest related. At the very least the game is a bit kind in the sense of the sms which are quite nice to have. It solves a bit the overall issue, but it's still easy to see.
-Money and charm bonuses: Money management is quite bad in this game, if you aren't on the apprentice route then you won't obtain any until you get the wealth spell, not gonna lie, at the very least it would be nice if we could ask people that we charmed for a few dollars each day. At the same time there aren't many uses for it, basically you will want money to buy magic stones, so overall underused. About charm bonuses I would expect something else than just a few sex scenes and quest related help.
-Sex scenes: It would have been kind of interesting to characters more diverse, in the sense of dominant characters against you or some mistakes that you could make to have a harder situation without having a "bad ending", it would be great too if it added a few more fetishes and situations but this is quite secondary.
Basically I may have talked about almost all, if not all, aspects of the game. While I'm quite critic on many things it's only because it is an ambitious game that doesn't truly feel that it covers most of it's features well, but being a free game I would say it's one of the biggest and or most worked on and it deserves recognition, it's a good game, it just needs a lot of content to truly feel complete.
