"What a way to ruin a game."
The art is outstanding and very original. The game has excellent graphics, compelling stoy, intresting plot and amazing models; but then you have a stream of AWEFUL minigames that just ruin it for you.
Seriously, the art is phenomenal. Few out there have it just as good. The quality is superb, and the interface, for being a Unity-made game, is quite good as well.
Games can have a ton of diferent purposes: they can be for us to enjoy, for us to think, for us to transport ourselves to a different universe and let us be drowned by it fantasies, or also for the ones that are seeking a challenging experience.
Usually, when playing a h-game, you are just seeking for a good chill; expecting some nice, hot CG to enjoy yourself. But you are not usually expecting having to go through a load of hard challenges while at it. As I saied, some may seek challenge while playing games, but I do not believe this is the kind of genre that people choose when looking for a defiance, but rather the one you just expect to be funny, hot, and smooth-going. Seeking for a challenge gives a sense of enjoyment, but having one when it was uncalled for, might ruin it for you.
Bearing in mind that many of us play on laptop, some of the minigames are quite unbearable. This create a lot of disconfort and people like myself who just seek what I explained above (to chill with a good h-game), gets dissapointed. Beeing stuck on a game when looking for a cooldown tends to be anoying, and this goes fot a lot of different games.
Props to the dev, staying true to oneself is essential.
Needless to say, it's always the dev choice at the end of the day, but maybe making a way out of the hard minigames would let the player actually ENJOY the game. After all, I belive that is the most important part of all, letting the player enjoy the game how he wants to. That doesn't mean to change your game-creating style, it just means to adapt it so as to give people what they want.
