RPGM - A Struggle with Sin [v0.5.8.6 Test] [Chyos]

Yo, ok so i played this game for a year now. It is really good, despite few (beginning of the game animations n all ) , but still good.
Story- Well i don't wanna spoil much, but you're a guy, who lives in a village with beautiful looking women around you, and its all medieval times. You can build a massive harem or select few, or even let them be taken by other men.
Game-play- Its not bad, but not good either. Its you're RPG engine basics. Wish there was Battle-sex moves for enemies and player+npcs.
Like a bandit grabs one of your party members and you get a stplitscreen animation loop, were it progresses bases on how long it take for you to respond to save them. Goes well with corruption system.
Also MC seems to be classless, wich is a bit boring IMO, but you can do everything ( cast spells, use bows, or go for close combat attacks )
This game needs more outfits for female characters. When KATE gets her new waitress uniform, that is a banger ( hands down ) This could also open quest-branches were villages most talanted tailors combine their forces to make new daily clothes for everyone, and ofc you could CORRUPT THEIR DESIGN-MAKING PROCESS ( This could be animation/PIC heavy upgrade tho )
Love or NTR - my personal approach is simple. I choose to make massive harem, once all females are mine, and pimp them out to others if game allows me to. So for example ( Tia has sex in Rumah,Kate has sex with Thomas,Tavern friends and your best buddy ) Tho i wish there was more group animations for NTR path. Like more extreme gang bangs or something of those sorts. This would make for interesting game-play choice, since if you lose quest or task, you're female character gets taken by others.
Like on same note: Orc village would be massive arc in its self here. Like when you send one of your wanitas to orc's. For each day she spends their, her sex partners increase in participation. So on last day at the camp, there is a massive orgy / gang bang. That would make sense in here dialogue, when she returns to Rumah and say - Ive been ficked by Orc all day n etc, but then again whe you go there, all you see is just one orc doing the pounding (Also, animation heavy upgrade )
AUDIO/ART/ANIMS- Just gonna say it simple, they are good. For modern-day sandarts, meby not so much, but still good. Tho some older animations need rework ( You can see a difrence in style and effects were Developer has changed some old ones to new ones )
Its still is good. Not much to say here, but some girls could use more flesh and vice versa. Fuck it, make it some kinds witchcraft quest or special potion, like the one were that princess gets in Daves mansions ( Her body grows larger, and i mean her butt and boobs get bigger )
This could be nice addition to MC arsenal, but yeah with so many girls you can interact, that would be shitloads of animation variations for difrent body types. But hey im just giving feedback

Overall - Needs more crazy stuff too, not just LOVE-path with happy endings we all know about. That gangbang thing i mentioned, could be more engaging at your merc camp for example. Were the red-head woman trains all your mercinaries PROPERLY
The game feels alive, you can see seasons and time.
Now what about kinks and all that juicy stuff ? Well i might say that it has everything normal, you would expect, and things you would only dream about. But since its medieval times + some fatnasy elements, it makes sense. Just needs more SPICY FLARES once in a while.
I do not wanna spoil much, i do recomend this game. And with that i give it solid 4 STARS ( -1 = ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENTS )
Im 100% sure when its all done, and will have those flares, polished lose ends, IT WILL BE A PERFECT 5 STAR GAME IN THIS GENRE !

The models kinda ruin the whole thing for me. There is a lot of content but it is so bloated that you'll need a walkthrough to not wonder what to do next like an idiot. This game needs a lot of polishing, it is not good at all and I have no idea how there are so many positive ratings

Among the best RPG's around here. Hunting system is something new and pretty cool. The focus of the game is not in combat or grinding to get strong, but the story and getting laid.
It scary me a bit the game change the seasons with the real life change of seasson. A cool and scary system.
The characters don't have the best model quality, but the animations are very fluid and optmized. I don't understand why the story have the options for go NTR, because at some point one route, with NTR or without it, will become the main plot, the real story, the true route, and the other will see more like a fanfic inside the game. Until now, the story is good.
The tribe management is something cool, and the mini games are ok.
A five star, nothing more, nothing less.

I'm to stingy to support the dev on patreon, so the least I can do is to give an exellent review to this very fine game. I'm almost 40 hours in of non-stop content with almost no grind and I'm still far from having finished it.

What an awesome game.

The only real problem is that there are a ton of different options... I mean a TON. So seeing them all is a time investment.

There are a tons of options and small route changes that aren't mentioned in the official walk through. The order of how you do things can lead to lots of different scenes and options.

You can do love routes, corruption routes, something in between... you can be evil or good. A bunch of interesting choices. These things often change future dialogs. So it isn't just cosmetic.

In some ways this is a real sandbox in the sense that you can do things in whatever order you want, and that order often matters. It is a lot of fun to try out different routes and combinations.

Very impressive.

Like all good games it takes time to play.

At first I thought the art was a bit crude, but it grows on you really quickly and there are a LOT of really good sex scenes.

A true sex RPG that isn't just ridiculous or silly. It is well made and well written. Amazing that something like this exists.

Went into this game with high expectations due to its rating, played for about 40hrs and here's what I can say about it:
Pros:
Content- The game has a lot of content, for each girl. Not only that but dev managed to make the world feel alive by having npcs go about their daily life in the background.
Story- The overall story isn't anything captivating but it's interesting enough to hold your attention, which is the bare minimum of an adult game. Each girl has a sub-plot that you engage in which makes the corruption more fun.
Cons:
Combat/Enemy scaling- The combat isn't anything special it's your cookie cutter rpgm style of combat just shot from a different perspective. The enemies level up as you do too, which means if you run into the same enemy again without better gear you're gonna struggle more.
Progession/Grinding- It's incredibly hard to progess in the game without a walkthrough, I don't recommend trying to play this blind if you want to get straight to content/unlock skills and equipment slots. Leveling up in the game feels like a chore, and the amount of talent points received doesn't help that feeling, you're better off just using the cheat book for that.
Models/Animation- The models are the worst aspect of this game, they have a grainy cut and paste look to them with some girls just having awful proportions, the only nice thing I can say is that they at least vary in appearance. The animations are brought down by the nature of the models, making them look really stiff, another thing is that everytime MC cums an awful effect plays I don't know why the dev added that. As I played I realised that I wasn't even aroused by any girl/scene and the only thing that kept me going was the corruption aspect of it all.
For me personally the game is just okay, it's nothing too extravagant, certain aspects could be improved but that's about it.

"A Struggle with Sin" is a masterful blend of captivating storytelling and extraordinary animations, setting a high benchmark in the world of adult games. Impressive game, it's difficult to give it less than 5 stars.
When it first loaded in RPGM style, I thought "oh no", but that feeling quickly evaporated in the heat of the game's quality.
There are small imperfections, such as the grindyness and the lack of options at some points in the game, but overall the rating is fully deserved, congrats to the dev !

First of all I will be clear that this game deserves 4.5 stars, it's a fun game with interesting situations and no aspect of the game is lacking, the combat is fairly good, progression of the character is nice and overall it just lacks more content.

-Gameplay: The only thing that I feel lacking is that we can progress more on our different talents, being able to earn just 2 free points of each is kinda lacking, I would recommend at least 6 at the following repetitions:

20-50-100-175-300-500

It will make the grind more worth it that's for sure.

Related to the combat it's perfect as it is, perhaps I would increase the power of magic or add the possibility for the MC to use a staff that increases magic attack or something.

-Relationships and characters: It's overall great, I personally like a lot how they develop all the relationships in the starting town, however... Related to the half-orc village I feel it needs some changes but will try to put it in a spoiler, do not read if you didn't play it


Overall the relationships need more content since from the harem perspective we still have too few marriages and pregnancy, we all wanna breed like rabbits haha, on the other hand the NTR aspect feels more like entering an open relationship, some are ok like that but others should feel more significant and feeling that you need to do something if you don't wanna lose the girl (in this aspect I'm a fan of semi-permanent situations since it always leaves open a way for the player to solve said situation and unless you truly mess up it shouldn't become permanent but more of waiting for a chance to solve it).

-Equipment and auto-level: This is a part that I find the game a bit meh, first of all it is more than possible for new players to not even know how to get a new armor or overall equipment and this can be fatal since with the auto-level of enemies you may find yourself in a really serious situation in which you receive too much damage since you focused on other characters and never learnt to craft your own armor and stuff.

To solve this situation at level 10 I would automatically add a quest for exactly that, starting with the MC saying that his armor is underperforming and deciding to improve his equipment, leading said player to learn to sew and guiding him to craft some basic equipment.



Overall the game is a solid 4.5/5, if you want to play a game that has H content then it may be perfect for you, NTR only happens if you mess up which can be more about the player actively seeking it or being defeated, so basically a normal player that doesn't seek NTR should only worry about being defeated, which means to not rush the game and take your time.

Also the game has a lot of love put into it by the developer, which makes it kinda great for rolplaying, choices do matter and can have significant effects.

Liked the complexities and multiple outcome of each path, which is the reason for my 5 stars rating (eg: different path or miss 1 step it'll change the dialogue for the rest of ur gameplay) and that's the sole reason i keep repeat the game just out of curiosity each outcome possibilities

This is perhaps the only RPGM that I played and enjoyed. There're certain things I'm not a fan of, like bizarre body porprtion, MC
dressed and looks like a homeless person in a modern time, and of course as RPGM it's UI is not exactly convenient, but they are minor compare to what the the game has to offer, interesting story, believable characters, and a good dose of ntr.

Here's some suggestions from a ntr fan, to the dev or perhaps some modder:
Since there's already quite a lot of ntr scenes happened in the current progress, I wish there will be more interactions between the characters indicating the status of sexual dynamics and the deeds they done. More teasing or even humiliation would be perfect.

For example, when Kate and Rick meet in front the tavern, MC could ask Kate to greet Rick properly; during the serving, MC can notice Kate doing lewd things with the customers and perhaps make a comment, or have a little conversation with himself, or better, have Rick make fun of him; after MC made some questionable decisions(had Kate bred while himself is barren, sent Tia to orcs, watch Thosmas fucking his girls without joining in, etc), allows him to gain cuck point to open up new dialogue obtions, asking the girls to be even more open and flirty infront of him.

one of the few excellent games in the porn sphere, other than good porn it has excellent game elements, awesome story, good grind that hook you up more to the game, crafting system with different weapons and armors, top notch music that fit in every moment, awesome overall

This game is incredibly captivating! The storyline is compelling and keeps you hooked from start to finish. The characters are well-developed, and the visuals are stunning. Can't stop playing! Hope the author manages to finish the game soon. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an adult visual experience!

I struggle to find games that I like-I want some grind (not too much), some sandbox (but with direction) and some realistic corruption other than the MC has a huge penis.
This game has it. The characters are sexy, the scenarios are realistic (more than most other h-games), there is a combat element (not too tough) and some mini games to play.

I loved the game... pretty much there is nothing that needs improvement besides new content hehehe

I've played Peasant Quest, and it's very similar but this game has a better story then the later.

Honestly? I was going to put a 4/5 as 5 is a "perfect" score and no game is without it's flaws. But it's been years since I've been so enamored with a game.

Story
The game has an interesting premise and has a lot of plots, sub-plots, personal stories, and implications of greater story beats to come. The setting despite having witches, orcs, goblins, etc is actually pretty well grounded. The war which is happening has smaller more reasonable impact on the people who live.

Characters
The characters are great. To start, they're actually characters. There's routines that most characters engage with each day which provides life to the town. The most compelling thing is how they're written. There are personal tragedies that weigh from the past, current issues to be resolved, worries about the future, and all sorts of things that make up interesting motivations that influence their behavior. Not everybody starts as the MC's friend and working through that actually takes effort on the players part. It's well done.

Rarely has there been a time that I've met a character and haven't been interested in seeing how their personal story takes shape afterwards.

Corruption
Easily one of my top 3. Corruption in this game follows the flavor of their being various stages and the various stages have changes in a lot of the dialogue. Entire events play out completely differently depending on the corruption of the characters involved. It's also a slow-burn to get from point A to point C so you have time to appreciate the changes

But, what I like the most is the flavor that this games corruption takes. Characters aren't so much as being brainwashed and molded as they are finding liberation and self-confidence.

Gameplay
It has most of the aspects of a simulation game. You do a large amount of different tasks for your character to earn a living while doing a large amount of other tasks to deepen your relationship with others.

Both my biggest praise and one of my few demerits are in the combat system. The combat system uses the system of weakpoints and by attacking with the right attribute you'll break their guard and make them vulnerable to an attack. If you've played Octopath you're familiar. It's a good system for any game and is good here as well. The main issue is that there aren't a lot of tools you can use to approach combat. Party member skill selection is VERY limited and the fights can take awhile. As a result, you usually end up chipping an enemy to death in a fight you can't possibly lose over a duration of 5+ turns.

The groundwork for additional skills and interactions are already there, so this will undoubtedly improve in the future.

Content
This game is incredibly robust with it's sex scenes. There's a lot of them. So many of them that it threatens to spoil me from any game I play in the future. There's tons of characters, positions, different flavors of pillow talk, the entire gauntlet of foreplay, and multiple angles on top of that. The animations aren't particularly smooth but the sheer eroticism wins out and isn't diminished at all for the majority of the scenes.

NTR
Alright, partially the reason I missed out on this terrific game for so long was in part due to the tags alone. Most games that have NTR (optional) have obvious blackhole sized content gaps. This one does not. There is a toggle that flat out disables it and you never feel like you're missing something due to the way the game is written. No mysterious absent time skips or other stichjobs. If you don't want it to happen, it doesn't happen, and you're not missing anything.

Summary
All in all, I really like this game. This is probably one of the few games I've played that led me to immediately support the creator. I'm interested to see where the game goes. Easily one of the 'must-plays' on this website.

91 hours and 26 minutes without counting all the times I've Saved/Loaded. That's how long it took me to finish all content except for the Natasha Corruption route as of version 0.5.8.0b. I rarely spend so much time on a single game period let alone a porn game. That alone should tell you how engaging the game is for those who will like it.

That qualifier is not a minor thing though, because as much time as I've spent on this I can recognise that it's not for everyone. First, you know the term 'porn with plot'? Well this is 'game with porn'. Anyone who wants to have a quick fap can go elsewhere right now. This is a old school RPG game with all the pros and cons that entails. The only other really similar game I can think of right now is Peasant's Quest.

Second, the graphics/porn is honestly fine, neither too terrible nor very great. The graphics may take some getting used to but it does the job. What elevates it to above average into good/excellent is the writing. The writing, what is there anyways shows the personality of each women and there's a clear sense of progression in terms of both affection and corruption for the women making it satisfying to see the progress.

Having said that, the MAJOR gripe I have with the game is the grind. I mean, sure it makes sense that leveling up and earning money takes time. Hell, I've over grinded so much I'm now at max level 100 with more gold than probably the baron at what seems to be only a third to halfway through the game. What gets on my nerves is the grind for corruption and sometimes affection points. Some characters have it better than others like Helena who once you figure out her corruption method automatically have their corruption go up though these are sadly in the minority. Others, like Maui had me skipping days in frustration just to painstakingly progress her affection and corruption. Granted it's not like it's strictly neccessary to max out affection or corruption and it makes some sense as lore wise I also wouldn't want turbo sluts after only a couple of days but is giving someone a drink 2 times a day really asking for that much?

In conclusion, if you are looking for a game with CONTENT in capital letters and can stomach grinding like nobody's business at times try the game out. If you're here purely for the porn and don't care about gameplay, maybe look elsewhere.

One of the best games I've played, length, story, mechanics all well done for the genre. Even if it's not done it's still more feature complete than most games in this space. The graphics could use updating but they're sufficient. A+
