This is my first time writing a review on this beloved forum, and I’d like to share my thoughts on this game.
First off, for RPGM I find it quite solid in terms of story, characters, and mechanics. The storyline is engaging, and I think the events that unfold in the village with its various characters should be resolved before moving on to the story involving the next village (please cmiiw, as I haven't played the latest version or finished the game yet). Overall, I’d rate the story at 4 stars.
Now, about the characters: the models and animations? Yeah, they could use some polishing. I’m not entirely sure how to describe it, but something feels a little off, like they could use a bit more detail or smoothness. But hey, I’m still enjoying it, so no complaints there—4 stars.
Next up, the mechanics. There are definitely some things that could be tweaked. For example, when you’re rocking the bandit disguise to sneak into the mayor’s house, it’d be awesome if it didn’t automatically come off when you’re leaving through the basement. I mean, I was kinda curious about what would happen if I just strolled around the village in that disguise, you know? But still, mechanics get a solid 4 stars.
Lastly, props to the dev! I’m not giving it a full 5 stars yet, but that’s only because I see so much potential for improvement. I’m really hyped to see where the game goes next. You’ve done a great job so far, so keep up the good work—Godspeed!
