Hey again! First of all, I'd like to thank everyone for their help with my previous posts. I've always received good recommendations from all of you, and I really appreciate it.
This time, I'm looking for something a bit different from my previous requests. Though the title might be a bit misleading, I'm not looking for games that are depressing from the get-go and remain that way, though those are welcome. More so, I am looking for a game that is moving. I want the characters, especially the protagonist, to feel alive and not just like trophies waiting to be collected. At some point, I want to feel sad or sympathize with them, hence, tear-jerking.
Any genre is fine, even hybrid VNs, though combat is a must! Thanks in advance for your help!
