This is a very nice game, but with many things that could have been done better.
*** SPOILER ***
For those who have not played yet, below are some parts that could ruin some surprises for you while playing.
Let's start with the positive things, it is a game with a deep, interesting story that keeps you glued and curious to continue (I think that most people who play this game, do it for the story). It is a mature story, whose protagonist is 38 years old and has a family behind her and this, for me, makes it much more interesting than many other games with students.
The protagonists are very beautiful, in particular Sophia is a very beautiful woman, elegant, but at the same time very provocative and sensual.
The possibility of incest with the son and/or daughter, makes this game extremely exciting.
The sex scenes, although not penetrative, are extremely erotic and exciting (at least some of them).
What are the downsides?
First of all, the protagonist has not had any penetrative intercourse to date, except for a memory of her first sexual intercourse and any intercourse with her husband if she decided to follow the path of the “good wife” (is there anyone here who has followed that path? I don’t think anyone…). It’s too slow a game, I don’t like games where you go from one sex scene to another, without any plot, but here they exaggerate on the opposite side. Sophia now has cobwebs…
In fact, the game leaves very few choices because most of the choices involve the possibility of choosing whether to be a “good wife” or a “filthy wife” (and I believe that 99% of people who play these games want to see a “filthy wife”, personally I have never chosen “good wife” even once). So this in fact becomes a story to read rather than a game with choices. And those few choices that can be made have heavy consequences as I explain in the next point.
There are some choices that have consequences in the choice of scenes even after a long time and this forces you to replay the game from the beginning, without the walkthrough having explained it to you. It would be very important to point out in these points the need to make multiple saves. Here are some examples:
- In the scene in the hot tub between Sophia and Sam, it is written that you can choose indifferently between Sam hiding behind the tub or Sam hiding in apnea inside the tub. Personally, considering it not credible that someone can remain in apnea for several minutes and above all that he cannot be seen at night in a lit tub, I preferred to have him hide behind the tub, but unfortunately with this choice it is not possible to see the cello lesson between Sophia and Sam which is one of the most erotic in the whole game (but this was not explained anywhere).
- On day 16 (the ninth of the game) you will have to choose whether to submit to Aiden's blackmail or not. Personally, I gave in to the blackmail (even though I didn't like the boy at all) because I understood that the story would have developed mainly by following this path. Too bad that on day 20 (the thirteenth playable) there is a scene between Dylan and Amber that appears only if you chose not to submit to Aiden's blackmail so that Dylan had to change college (this is also a very cute scene). Too bad that I had to replay the game again to be able to see this scene, but even there the consequences of this choice were not explained.
- On day 12, if certain choices were made, Sophia will suffer an attempted rape. In the walkthrough it is written that if you decide not to report to the police this will have consequences. Years later I am still waiting for the consequences of that unreported rape... And if tomorrow they remembered to finish that story, whoever reported to the police would have to replay the whole game from the beginning to see the scene? They should provide MODs to be able to play scenes even if certain choices were not made.
- On day 18 you have to decide whether to introduce Emma and Dylan, even though you know that if you go down this path the whole story with Sophia will end. I chose this path because I really liked Emma, a very good girl who deserves a good story. After just one meeting with Dylan, Emma disappeared from the story forever. What's the point of interrupting the relationship with her mother? Here too, wrong advice in the walkthrough and a wasted game.
- In one of the four paths that I followed, with different choices, in order to see all the scenes, I decided not to accept the job at the hospice and to go and teach the three boys. In the end, even with this story, I found myself at the hospice when I had never done this job (?!?).
- During the game there was the proposal to do a couple swap with Sophia and her husband together with another couple. That path has now disappeared and I found it intriguing.
Many dialogues are useless and insignificant, put there only to lengthen the story, but in this way you get the opposite effect because in the end you get tired of reading and then maybe you miss some important parts.
Personally I found it absurd that throughout the game Sophia complains about the fact that she doesn't understand how it is possible that an 18 year old boy has the desire to have sex with her, who is 38 years old, and to this day she has all these scruples to have sex with an 18 year old boy (to date it hasn't happened yet), when then in the end you discover that when she had her first sexual intercourse at 17, it was with the father of her best friend who was 40 years old (!!!).
FINAL JUDGMENT:
I don't feel like giving this game more than three stars, even though I recognize that it has beautiful drawings and a beautiful engaging story. Being a game for adults, the "hard" part is absolutely insufficient, then I don't like having to carry on three or four games to be able to see all the scenes. So it becomes extremely heavy and boring. Absolutely annoying the fact of having to replay everything from the beginning if you haven't made a certain choice during the game.
