I think you may have missed my point in that just because the treehouse is there, doesn't in the slightest mean as nexer was seeming to suggest that it meant that Sam was going to get Sophia in the treehouse this update.
Why keep Dylan/Ellie? Anything not directly related to Sophia/(Dylan, Sam, Ellie or Patricia) should be moved to DLC, if it means L&P keeps to 1 playable day per 6 months.
And yes, I do realise this includes my own OTP of Ellie/Juls. But if it means the game actually gets sustainable instead of cancelled, I can live with that.

If he's smart he'll either skip the 'Sophia clambers into the tree-house' render entirely... or give us a reason to want to see it.

I'd be "happy" if that was the case. Weird, saying that leaves me with a bitter taste in my mouth. Gonna have to brush my teeth now.
I'm still waiting for the annual bullshittery, though. Wouldn't be a real L&P release without a cataclysmic event delaying it by a month or two.

Update end of Oct/early Nov? Really, could it be true? Too good to be true? If it is, what's been edited out? There's such a choice of what should go in the short-term but I'm not going to suggest it all again. I've been talking recently about a radical rethink. When business prospects appear not to be sustainable in the long-term, that often happens. Sometimes plans are laid & implemented. Sometimes they work.....to an extent.
Why not get rid of everything except the incest? Then I could cheerfully stop playing & so could many others. There would still be enough paying patrons to sustain AWAM for years. Even Dylan's turgid but over-inflated story could move at a faster (by L&P standards) pace. Let incest be unbounded. That's the answer & don't forget to make Dylan an official 2nd MC. That could be the radical overhaul the VN needs. Isn't that what the inclusion of the word "Mother" in the game title was for?
Even this thread could become shorter & faster. Basically it could reduce down to, 'which of my children will be first, or will it be my sister?' Why not make that a subtitle & it could attract a horde of new fans to more than make up for those who've left? In fact why not make the tits even bigger & have some icing on the cake? Huge breasts are inextricably linked to incest fantasies & another increase would send a powerful signal to fans of all preferences.

You're right, I'm not happy but although the suggestions I've made in my last post are written with cynicism, they're still actual possible outcomes/genuine solutions. I think like this because it must be apparent to most fans that 20+ years 'til game's end & 7+ years until extra-marital sex are just plain ridiculous. Everything in that post is the exact opposite of what I'd prefer but could still provide answers, of sorts, albeit answers I would hate (with bells on). Big challenges often require radical solutions.
Whatever anyone thinks, I believe that something has to change, or give, before too long. Lack of communication about the game's direction from the Dev comes as standard & won't alter. Long waits between updates leads to a lot of basically pointless speculation, of which I'm as guilty as the next person. It used to be an enjoyable way to fill the gaps but now?
I sincerely hope we do have an update by mid-November.

Considering that he has 25% more to go on both CS and Rendering, and It usually takes him about two to three weeks to code, I would probably say that Mid-November is the best-case scenario right now. Unless he manages to complete CS and Rendering (100%) by the end of the first week in October, that is the only way I see this coming out by the end of October.
