Obviously we can’t see the full lingerie in this teaser. It’s a crappy back view with most things not visible. And it could be better from the front. But from what we can see, the underwear actually looks hotter

My understanding, like the difference between underwear and bikinis, is about consent (implied or otherwise) to look. Sophia going to be beach in a bikini, she's allowing others to look at her. But underwear under clothing is more designed for practicality and meant to be hidden

The difference between the two is that lingerie is underwear with class!!!
I think the difference is that ordinary underwear is designed to sleep at night, and erotic underwear is intended for foreplay, in order to tease a sex partner.
