I just played the latest scene on a streaming website. Many complain about the lack of sex but my biggest complaint is with the story and dialogue, mostly where Sophia is concerned. It's just dumb now, I guess as a consequence of LP releasing the game in drips and drabs. All the storylines exist separate from one another. Your post is a text book case of why L&P's release strategy is killing the Sophia character because for us the multiple storylines bleed into one another. Any specific storyline is tainted by the others.

Dylan doesn't appear in the scene with Ellie and Christine smoking, so I don't get the party scene. What am I doing wrong? I got it once already but I messed up the saves.

I agree with everything, and by the way this is even more absurd when you consider that we have been accumulating filthy points for practically eight years. Expressions such as “Oh my, I shouldn't do this or that, ... it's not right, I can't believe I'm doing this etc, etc,” given all the filthy points accumulated so far are totally unjustified and devoid of any logic. These might have made sense shortly after the beginning of the story, when there were not many filthy points available, but now I find them really ridiculous.

Yup, filthy points have become entirely useless. Been that way since...well, ages. Everything is based on previous choices. Wanna see scene XYZ? Gotta make decision XYZ in previous scene(s). Made the "wrong" decision in a particular scene? Shit out of luck to see the next one, go again.

The original idea for the use of filthy points went over board a long time ago, but the game and it's code is so old that L&P would probably need a year to overhaul and fix the mess, so people are left with the nonsense. Oh well, there are bigger issues with this project than that.
