Yes, they are not better than AWAM. They are (my very subjective opinion. However, it's based on trying more than 1700 games) much, much worse than AWAM, with wooden dialogues and/or bad story. I may criticise AWAM or L&P for many things but, gosh, they play in different leagues. At least these three games - this may be not true for some other games proposed below.
I am afraid that discussing other games in this thread may be seen as off-topic (for me it's not, as far as we compare the games. But for the moderators... who knows. I don't know. They know

Well, my suggestions of games not very far from the quality of AWAM and somewhat similar to its contents would be (in addition to APM): Ms.Denvers, Echoes of Deception, Naughty Neighbors, The East Block, Love, Honor, Betray. Hopefully: Exploring the Big Apple (at least after the Pineapple Express experience, as the game is at early stage). Maybe: Undercover. If you accept 2D graphics: Our Red String (also pretty slow, almost comparable with AWAM or JOHN) and A Couples Duet... And if you accept some sandbox elements: Steps of Debauchery.
In any case, AWAM is a reference point for them. Maybe because old love never dies. And AWAM was my first game of this kind. Can you hear me, Sophia Parker? My public confession

at this point i don't even care about the game anymore i just came here to read what people think and how it's going lol, i hope the forum is dead by this time next year, i hope we have way better game than this next year, i hope no one talks about this game by this time next year because the dev does not deserve it, he deserve a punch in the face, for what he is doin, he is a thieve.

I agree as the graphics are some of the best that I have seen in a VN but remember to leave your brain at home or in neutral when you play AwAm.

I agree, although I must point out that awam is very popular precisely because of its super slow story, I admit that I too am waiting for the update even though I know that it will take another 10 years of development for a real progression, after all these years we would have lost interest if sophia had made a quick transition from a good wife-nymphomaniac slut. Another aspect that makes the game interesting is that it is full of popular fetishes, for example: blackmail, elderly, shota, lesbian, bbc, teenegers, incest mother-son and sis-bro, cuckold, swinging and maybe others that I can't think of,
all this grouping of fetishes does nothing but attract players.
