Sometimes i think it takes long for one update, especially compared with other games, but to be fair ,if you can spend more than 1 hour for each update (enjoy every dialogue, scene...) then the time wait might not be so bad. Its like one month one update with 10 minute game play vs 6 month 1 update with 1 hour playing time.
I always play like 2-3 hours for a big update, even visit it again for a few times after a while.
