I imagine it's going to be both the museum and at least start of the ranch trip, because most people likely skipped the museum date in favor of Dylan event? So this would be months spent on update for like 3 people total.

He's been using an AI tool called 'Topaz Labs' for years now. AI upscaling, AI polish...etc. Renders are still made with DAZ, but postwork is heavy on the AI. Every render is going through that process, some parts so much that they become overprocessed and backgrounds or certain elements in the images become grainy or washed out.
He's ramped it up quite a bit in recent updates. It's an easy and fast way to increase image quality if done right, but clearly he's just shoving everything through those processes when many images don't really need it and end up looking worse in some cases.
Part01 of this update (Sophia's Yoga scene) is the perfect example. Everything around the characters is extremely grainy. Too much upscaling/sharpening causing the image to go bad (either that, or he's just messed up in DAZ...or both).
I said it when the teasers were released that the theater scene didn't make sense for the Dylan route and this update proved me right. If LP wanted to include a movie date it should have been with her "pretend boyfriend" . Using it this update seemed like needless filler (to be honest that's exactly what it was). In my opinion the movie date should have just been at home in her bedroom. If I am not mistaken, she resented the big TV in her bedroom, so there could have been an element of revenge against Liam.
I was on board with the museum thing when I thought it might be going somewhere, but at this stage, I’d rather just move on.
Sunday is going to be a slog to get through, but Monday is when things will start getting interesting again (Logan and Tyler return, Ellie’s prom, Sam finally gets the spotlight again after like four or five years).
