Can't really fault DAZ for that. That's the tastes of the artists & let's face facts, there're more male followers of this stuff than females. No hetero guy is more interested in a guy's physique than a female's. That's just nature. It has to be up to female artists to decide to render average looking male models or some of the more talented, experienced artists to do a paradigm shift & render average looking models, who in RL I might add, are generally Invisible to society.

And clearly, the boys are the ones laying down those rules

Why third? I was under the impression update was split in half.No, it's quite the opposite.
THe initial pace was for episode which would be roughly 3x the size of the little chunk he's planning to release now instead -- what was previously 20% of full update become 60% of the reduced part of it. It took him then 14 days to do remaining 30-35% of that new, smaller installment.
The pace has actually slowed down -- as originally he'd add 5% to both completion circles every 2 days, once the progress bar actually started moving. So with installment size reduced to 1/3rd the progress should be 3x that, 15% of both circles every 2 days. And just 5 days (a week if you want to be really generous) to wrap that part up. But instead what you got was (still) 5% every two days on average, so he was working 2-3 slower compared to initial rate.
If there's one thing the author is a real artist at, it's dragging it out.
Also there was a jump to 65% to update the numbers to reflect the new length. After that the rate of growth is greater., when compared with previous values.
It's estimation based on how the progress numbers have changed. What was 20% became 60%. If the update was split in half, 20% would become 40%. It's very basic math.
No, like i've described -- the rate of growth is nominally the same with what we could observe initially (+5% for each circle every two days) but because these numbers are for a smaller update the actual rate of production is slower, in the sense less images are produced per day, compared to previous pace.

Anyway, we will know the exact number of renders after both parts are released. I am happy to be proven wrong.

Everything is speculation on both sides when it comes to L&P. Remember, this update was supposed to be a full update when he started it, but he changed the model after it began, which is likely why he inflated this event arc, since it's supposedly the last event for the museum guys in AWAM.
It was also stated that this was supposed to be a short update, but the way everything is progressing, it's not going to be brief, since he had to divide it into two parts now. It should be evident that 0.230b will result in more CS/renders than 0.230a.
But the split change rate was a big clue.
Edit: He also split the update unequally, so he could release an update before December, which is likely because he has only released two updates this year so far and giving the appearance that this seems like a quick update, but in reality, the pace is slower.

Explaining. These "parallel" stories, and let's say very well done with the help of AI, and I don't see that as a bad thing, on the contrary. Very well done.
But, and say but. They are stories from his subscribers and with LP's blessing.

I'll repeat. They are parallel stories and very well done. Quality, and now they serve as a "distraction" for the "owner" to keep the story "stretched" for at least another 14 years.
I liked the last 0.225 and her relationship with her son. The kid has to be like that, depraved and horny. The protagonist now has to really like "sleeping," be the slut, and give the boys the reward. LP is being avant-garde in this and obviously offering its subscribers an even more "immersive" experience. After all, they create their own choice, path, and lascivious, very attractive and well-made storylines and characters within the storyline.
Do you think all this is a "trip"? Well, gentlemen, it may be, but we can't "rule out" that it might also be, in fact!

The BIG problem with it, are the stories bleed into one another and diminish Sophia because her behavior is inconsistent. The end result is that players expect a certain behavior from her no matter what storyline she is playing.
IMO, the better approach is to stick to a main story throughline and do the alternative paths as extras afterwards.
