The time-lapse is a good idea from a realistic standpoint. The problem or challenge he may face is plot holes in the story. Right now, my biggest concern is the male cast in the game and being so far behind the corruption point, I have a feeling he's going to have to step on the gas to play catch up and then where going to have gaps in the story.

Ellie's storyline is progressing somewhat smoothly. People can make the argument it's too fast because of how quickly she developing the relationship with Sophia. I can agree in some aspect, but I also take into account how many days L&P claims he has to tell the story, and we don't know if he will add anymore time-lapses or not. I see the female cast more like this 1..2..3..4..5..6..7..8..9..10 and the male cast minus Liam more like this and what might happen 1..2..3..4..7..9..20. in terms of progressing the storyline.
I don’t even know if those small time jump would even make the story more believable, depending on how it’s handled.

If it’s for a reason in the plot reasons (Sophia visiting her parents or whatever), and she’s away from everybody for a week, then there’s would be no point in the time skip are there would be no progress in any storylines.

Or are we supposed to believe, that for a week, in every relationship she’s in, she was mostly just doing the exact same thing 2 or 3 days prior to the time skip ?
(So for a week, she and her daughter would have been masturbating in front of each other every morning, Dylan would just change with her and “feel the fabric of her clothes”, Sophia would tease Sam while he spies on her etc...)
Almost every character (but particularly her 2 kids) wants and asks for more (and sometimes don’t even ask) in every events but for a week, everybody is suddenly “reasonable ” and doesn’t pressure her for more ?

Or if the progress is to fast (and for example, she’s now perfectly fine giving handjobs to Dylan or Sam), now you have to explain (being through flashbacks or events) how she arrived to this point, making the time skip almost useless.

Time skips can be a way to pass time when nothing significant happens in a story.
Or to create some mystery (how come the hero is alone,where are is friends, what is this scar on is face, etc...)

The problem here, is that we’re not talking about just one story.
It’s not a case of because Sophia has 200 filthy points, she’s now sucking every dicks available.
In itself, those numbers mean nothing.
Every relationship has their own pacing, reason, and circumstances.

As you said, If we look at where Ellie was 7 days before and where she’s now and we compare that to Dylan or Sam (talking about recurring characters not those that appear every 5 years like the janitor or where nothing has even happen yet like the old guys) it’s almost night and day in one storyline where little progress has happen in the others.

So unless she does a 180 in certain storylines and jump the shark in others, I don’t see how a small time jump can even make the “story” in its entirety makes more sense or being more believable.(not that certain storylines wouldn’t benefit from it, but we’re talking about specific timeline then not like in this game where every
Relationship happens at the same “time”(don’t know if I’m really clear here...)

I think it's completely unclear at the moment what Patricia wants and how far she will go. She wants sexual incestuous fun with Sophia and is apparently ready to involve Dylan as well. That in itself is madness. Liam doesn't play the slightest role in this game.
That Carl said that his wife can have fun with women but definitely not with men doesn't automatically mean Patricia thinks the same way. It gives the impression that she thinks Carl has given her something like permission. Patricia plays with fire with Sophia and Dylan and I can't see that she wants to step on the brakes at some point.
I think she wants to break her chains and she wants to do that to someone she trusts, who can cover her if necessary; the way she behaves, she has already gone much further in her fatasy and now she believes she has found someone with Sophia to implement these fantasies.
She will step on the brakes, but only when Sophia begins to destroy her own life and but only if Sophia succumbs to temptations that were not initiated by Patricia.
Based on what we have seen so far I think that Patricia is a total flirt and shameless tease, but nothing that could break her agreement with Carl. But you are right - it is early days - we have somewhere close to 55-60% of the story still left to tell, so who knows what Patricia's future intentions are.

Despite how good it looks we know it will still be in rpgm anyway.

I wonder if a time will come when we will have cinematic caliber porn games like Life is Strange/Detroit Become Human.

From the trailers it clearly shows the ability is there, with full voice acted dialogues and cinematic camer angles, just a matter of making it into an actual full fledged game and not just for trailers.
Then each update will take 2 months instead of 2 weeks.
Still the animations are way better than most games we have.Not to mention we see everything.Not like some games covering the penetration.

I'm holding out until I play this update before I declare that the game is a boondoggle. I'm really trying hard not to prejudge this update because that feels really crappy to both L&P and to the other posters here who are less disgruntled than I am. I will admit that I can't really envision a scenario where I do a 180 on this update and think the five month wait was justified; but I do want to try my best to be fair.
Hey there, I love every update and enjoy every frame, I think that's true of most all of us on this thread. If none of my saves hit all the content I rip the script files and jump to events that I've missed, because it's all so wonderful.

Like you, I just can't see the content of the events in this update paying off at a level that will offset the length of development. Hope to be wrong but not expecting to be.

This has been covered extensively here. In short, L&P's stated reason is this: He's "open" to the idea but the standards by which he would measure anyone are impossibly high. L&P is convinced that the time it would take to either train the person and/or to tweak the images to his standards would negate any benefits. Basically, L&P wants full control over the game's development and he hasn't figured out a way to outsource anything. It's a complete dead end at this point to even suggest outside help, he isn't interested.
Yes - as much as L&P pretends the possibility for help is real, if you can't out-sprint Usain Bolt in his prime you're just not fast enough and never will be.

Let me disagree with you. I spoke with L&P and I dare say that he is interested in helping. But the fact is that those willing to help are really not qualified enough.
The question of keeping the script secret, as far as I was able to understand, is in second place for him. First, the task is to find competent help and then they will find ways to solve the issue of secrecy.
Sorry, I'm not buying that. The problem is the script doesn't exist until after the renders are done. If the script was locked down first (that is, there was an actual plan for the update) it would be impossible to overshoot the anticipated render count by 100%+.

I would say that the dev does has a kind of script written out ,maybe something like a rough draft of the game already laid out.
He did introduce the "Twist" sooner than it was supposed it to be introduced so he could have a rough script laid out and this could also explain why his render count goes overboard.

I have always preferred Sam to Dylan. He is neighbor kid who could easily fall for gorgeous Sophia. HOWEVER, apparently Sam is a bit of a philandering dirt bag who is not remaining faithful to Sophia or Ellie. AND it is his actions with (Though gorgeous in her own if ignoring the non OEM topside) Celia from Milfy City. That psycho broad was caught by none other than Mattocean "in flagrante delecto" with SAM. OH the horror! Liam, Neil, Sam, Dylan, Aiden, Bennett, Morello Tyler, and callous Carl all fall short of any moral claim to our wonderful Sophia. They must be expunged in fire and brimstone! Though a swift kick to the nads may be sufficient. Just Sayin'

A huge shout out to Mattocean for the truly epic investigative photo journalism. The reference is page 175 of Milfy City fan art. Have fun storming the castle.

Carl is callous? He's pivotal in helping Sophia with Aiden. If he was callous he wouldn't be helping, and Sophia would need to do the tasks.

But if we're weighing in, I stop both the Sam and Dylan routes at the basketball match. I prefer Ellie over both. Curious what's she's up to during this update.

No doubt L&P has the A to B outline, but his outline is equivalent to an aerial photograph taken from high-earth orbit where you can barely make out the highways. The problem is, when he's making his scenes he's on local streets and there's no route optimizer (Google Maps, Apple Maps, Yahoo Maps, take your pick: I'm not prejudiced!) showing him how to avoid all the traffic delays.

I have chill pills, thank you. Already taken them. I get that sometimes people add humour, and I do try not to be a wet blanket - I was quiet the entire time people were making outrageous claims about the content of the .130 pre-release.

I guess I'm just being protective since Carl and Patricia (at least in my playthrough) play an integral role in both corrupting Sophia, but providing a safe and supportive environment. And Carl pivotal in protecting Dylan from Aiden. Getting rid of him would also have a devastating effect on Patricia.

And of course with Carl paying for Dylan to be at boarding school we might get Ellie nude sunbathing. He has to get points for that.
