This got me thinking. Corruption stories are hot, but I think there is a conflict in their implementation. By definition, for a character to be corrupted they need to be innocent at the beginning. But, in order for the corruption to be believable (because that's what makes it erotic) it needs to be slow. This creates a conflict because the character needs extensive time to become corrupted enough to allow for lewd scenes. Move too quickly and you lose the sense of corruption that comes from the build-up of tension, but move too slow and the game feels stalled. Sophia begins AWAM very innocent for someone her age and experience, so it has taken relentless corruption to get her to where she is today. That's taken years of development. But at the same time it's only been like two and a half weeks since the game began. In less than a month, Sophia has gone from an innocent loving wife, to a conflicted and adventurous woman. When you play the game from start to finish, it's an almost relentless stream of pressure on her since day 1. I think that actually hurts the game because in fewer than 20 days she has gone from purely innocent to going to second base with her daughter in the shower- that's crazy to think about. But would it be better if it was slower? Absolutely not, we're not getting any younger.
I think future corruption games would be better off starting with a character that isn't so innocent. If the idea is to corrupt a woman into a sex fiend, it would be an easier sell if the woman starts with significant sexual experience. This would reduce the amount of corruption, so that's unfortunate, but you can still corrupt someone further even if they're already corrupt. You could start the game with the woman admitting that she has cheated in previous relationships (but not her current one) so that the door is open because it is in her character to cheat. If incest is your thing, then you could open the game with acknowledging that the MC and her children have a "very close" relationship that she admits is a bit inappropriate at times. Starting the MC from this position would jump start the game by creating a character with cracks in the armor. These cracks are easier to exploit and can lead to earlier payoff as opposed to an innocent MC who needs to be convinced just to wear a bikini.
