I understand someone supporting LP and his project. I do support him myself. That doesn’t mean however that I am not going to criticise him and accept blindly whatever he does… if I don’t like part of the content I will tell him, if I don’t like part of the modification I will tell him as well. He may accept my criticism or ignore it completely. It’s up to him. If I see the project being completely derailed I may end my support and not bother at all criticising him.
