While I will say that NTR to NTS is a favourite of mine, and the themes and writing at times scratch that itch - I would consider this game as a whole to have some of the most indecisive narrative progression I've ever seen, such that it brings what could have been a 5/5 for me down to a 3/5.
MC decides he wants to accept things as they are, has a relapse back to hating everything about his current situation, broods over things and repeat. This happens so many times that I've lost track, this isn't a progression of a narrative but an offset circle that deviates forward at a pace of 3, and then backward by 2.
We're inching towards something that could be called progression, but lo and behold the MC has yet another lapse and back we go...
It's not an issue of pacing, I think the general writing does a good job of slowly corrupting the LI and even warping the MC's perspective from totally against, to hesitant, to curious, and now growingly more willing. You could have events play out as they have, but remove the verbose umming and erring and it would elevate the whole experience I think - which means the problem isn't pacing; but the MC's strange perspective.
I think more recently the pacing has been off because we get told that the MC is gonna talk to the LI about wanting to see and hear more about her cheating, but then she doesn't accept that and we have to wait until next update to get what was promise at the end of the last one... I think the developer recently has realized that they've long since paved the groundwork for an elevation of events and don't need to constantly tease their audience anymore, and I hope in future updates we get to see a more natural progression of the narrative.
