Ren'Py - A Wife's Phone [v0.7.8] [Bloody Ink/Scyxar Studios]

Fun game at first with some really erotic elements, but there are a few obstacles in between the concept and a satisfying game to play.

There is way too much clicking around. I know you're supposed to be navigating phones, but the alerts, clicking, clicking back, clicking, clicking, clicking back, etc etc is just way too much fucking clicking.

You think you're getting close to a hot moment, and you click until your erection is a distant memory as you click between menus.

And a lot of the clicking is pointless. You can only click on one feature at a time as the features are presented to you in the app. The features are only presented to you for specific story points.

So, you click to switch to the wife's phone. Click to go to phone. Click on her messages. Read through messages. Click back to your phone, get an alert to click back into the menu and activate "accept" command in the app. Click back to your phone, click click click, 5 days later, the wife accepts. Then you get a flurry of texts and clicking back and forth before waiting another 5 days.

And you're interrupted by having drinks with friends that don't go anywhere, and on dates when nothing happens. Perhaps these will be filled in given time.

For now, there's wayyyy too much clicking, it kills the eroticism.

But the bones are there for a super hot game. If the developer figures out how to put it together, this one could be awesome. Now, it's a chore.

The main thing i liked about this game is its unique concept, the idea of experiencing someone's life through their phone and brainwashing them with an app is new and interesting to me.
It started off great as a simple corruption story that you shape with the decisions you make but the moment we were introduced to the 'freedom' update it all went downhill from there as we are forced to wait 6-8 in-game days between every event which is absurd and should be reduced to 1-2 days max, not only that but this period resets if you don't meet the necessary stats, so you have to wait even longer until you grind what you need.... At this point the events should've been kept story driven not stats dependent.
That's not even the worst of it, you have to re-do everything with every update because old saves won't work.... I don't know if the dev is working on this MAJOR issue but he/she should make it his/her priority to fix this before releasing any more updates, even a zen and patient person will get tired of starting over again and again and just give up on this.
SUMMARY : Playing this game feels like a chore and it's missing the fun element, the dev should have stuck with the old formula he/she started with.

This is an excellent game, with a couple of improvement opportunities.

I did not expect to like this game as much as I did, and I like it A LOT.

The script is naturaland relatable, the story is hot, the visuals are good, and the porn content is sufficient and fapworthy.

The biggest area of improvement I would recommend is the UI. On larger screens (I use a 32 inch monitor), the real estate wastage is bad. I know this is supposed to be a phone emulator, but still, I hope the dev can get creative.

Also, a lot of unusable apps can be distracting. Maybe add them when they are relevant.

I really enjoy this game, and look forward to next releases.

First and foremost, if you can, try to play this one on a real phone! It works so much better at immersing you in the experience.

I gave this one a shot and was extremely pleasantly surprised! The writing quality and presentation are the real standouts here. The choice to go with a diegetic interface (where you only see what the character would see on their phone) was really inspired, since it means that events are often teased and implied after the fact, which really works that's all about taboos and secrets. I also found the writing between the MC and his wife to be genuinely believable and heartbreakingly sweet - the corruption to come will hurt all the more for it. It's also a slow-burn corruption story.

It's not all perfect of course. The UI has some noticeable flaws (in particular, the speech bubbles used to represent audio just look ugly) and I found the already brainwashed characters kinda unbelievable and grating. It's also fairly grindy if that's a turnoff for you.

It's good for the stage of development it's at. The writing is above average for this sort of thing. The photos/GIFs/videos are well selected. It's not an immediate 0 to 10 jump (with the wife at least) like with other content from this genre. The main character can sneak around and isn't just a cuckold if the right choices are made.

Why 4 not 5? There's some missed potential with the Instagram element not being used at all after around the first half, and there's a few content progression related issues which either aren't signposted by the todo list or you can accidentally lock yourself out of while the game implies you need to wait some days. I also think the "mind control app" aspect needs a bit more depth.

I'm hoping this one won't get abandoned or scope creeped and continues to receive timely updates to branches like the son's girlfriend.

This game is pretty fucking good. The images and the quality of the dialogues are quite nice. Looking forwards to the update with the tasks from Mr Salim lol. I think quite a lot of effort went into the game. Good job dev.

game could be better but this concept(hack wife phone) and discover her lie's step by step is one of the best concept.. slow burn corruption and cuckold..

Perfect approach to NTR, no cringe'y situations, no Daz3D and huge amount of content each update makes this game perhaps the best NTR game in months, if not a year or more. Everything here is good, even GUI which I was not initially convinced of. Keep it up and i hope that the game will not be abandoned, but completed

A really cool idea, that feels lackluster and an interface that needs some serious work.
I want to start with, I think the cell phone idea is really, really good. I just wish that there was a significant amount of polish to make it feel more alive. For example, when you click on somebody's camera it says "Can't Connect", why would it do that and not just show a picture of the inside of a purse or pocket? In addition, there are app buttons on the phone, but pretty much none of them are interactive. Expectably for the cuckold route, being able to see old texts, locations where she's been, pictures she's taken, ect. would make the game an immediate 5stars for me. As it is now, it's just, click to read texts, use the map to move to different places (that don't have their own events), and fiddle with the app (but a lot of the time, nothing new happens).
When it comes to the story, it's honestly not that great, but who really cares about that in a porn game? And the sexy stuff, with a little bit of fleshing out of some mechanics, is really starting to look good. The characters and events are a little stereotypical (like selling photos of your wife to make money), but they fit in and at least are not a negative to the experience.
Overall, it's a solid 2.5 of a game, but with it being new and the creator needing to prove that he intends to continue with updates and improvements, I'm only going to give it a 2 for now.
I really hope this games continues development because it has so much potential.

One strange thing is feminizing of the son. I suppose it is interesting for someone. But this does not make a game worse.

Flawed masterpiece. Best phone NTR game by far. Really well done 'slow burn' that adds a bunch of other women to make the slow corruption of the wife less monotonous.

Only flaws are that the games systems are still a little rough (it's only v0.2). There's a very long kinetic novel with a couple crucial decisions component, then it becomes a pretty grindy sandbox game.

The grind is not as bad as many other games and it is well worth the great story telling here.

One suggestion to the dev: make it possible to advance the day from whatever screen you're on. It gets tedious to go to the husband's phone to either work or wait when you're trying to see if the wife has new scenes.

EDIT: Just finished v0.3: Same review. Flawed masterpiece. Things that seem important early on are not. With each update the hypnosis corruption stats are increasingly irrelevant. You never need to make money at the job you work. Ignore all that grind and play the game as you like.

Masterpiece, of course you've to be a NTR enthusiast, still the story telling and the way the game is coded is truly above all other games.. Waiting forward for updates and hope this concept of texts messages goes more viral

I liked that the game has something new and unusual that distinguishes it from other projects. The phone imitation idea is very well intertwined with the developing plot.

Liked: the ability to avoid inappropriate content, well-chosen photos and videos, interesting characters, among which there are both good and bad, applications made at a very good level.

Disliked: Repetitive scenes, some bugs that open up unwanted scenes, inability to control the sound in the video separately from the overall sound.

Bottom line: the game is definitely good, I will wait for updates in order to understand if it is worth it to continue watching it or not

Loved the latest update. Yes, it is different from the previous ones, but nevertheless, it is excellent. There was much more content in one month than expected. The idea of clicking on messages and seeing images/videos is excellent. Now you can review the same images several times. The idea of losing the company is not very clear yet, but from the author's answers it is clear that it leads to a more difficult path to becoming a boss, which appeals to me. Written in very good English. Apart from a few bugs that spoiled the experience, the game has become one of my favorites.

Interesting and unique conceptually; Abysmal writing/story/plot.

As others have stated, the design and tenor of the game is unique and worth praise. But from the start the MC/husband's character is written in such a way that despite him being a CEO of some large company, he has the equivalent IQ of a box of rocks. But the early stage pales in comparison to what happens in the current release. An utterly ridiculous and poorly explained extortion device is inserted into the plot which makes it impossible for me to continue another minute.

Too bad...there was a glimmer of promise with this game.

What am I supposed to do with this, ignore the fact that the most recent update took a turn that made the game less enjoyable? Conceptually, the game is fine, but story-wise it's focus is not in the right spot. It's a 3 because it's put together well, but the writing is a huge turn off.

Given, the sexual presentation is quite flat, but you gotta value the format idea: It immerses well by default. I don't mind plot changes to switch the overall context, but a problem is the vagueness of paths making the player worry about parameters or unclear decisions. The story tool is obviously unrealistic, so I don't mind skips in character development or out of the blue setups that much. However, one of the things that makes you excited IS the detail of corruption over time, mostly through the social media public/spy element which, for now, has almost no relevance whatsoever after the plot change: back to normal, more boring.
One thing the developer should cut out is the repetition of "dates" (black screen) or repetitive messages, it's pure annoyance and I guess only exists to simulate gameplay that doesn't need to be there.

It's quite solid if you're into QOS/Interracial/Cuckold content. I highly recommend if that's your thing.

Could've been more polished with the UI design and what not. It feel like a rush job than anything.

Extremely linear. the writing and dialogues are pretty much what you would expect from a porn game. but still, I'd say that they're no personalities whatsoever in the dialogues. quite boring. hope the devs add skip button for texts that you haven't read.
