Ren'Py - A Wife's Phone [v0.8.7] [Bloody Ink/Scyxar Studios]

This was a long ass game, it took me about 20 hours to go through everything and had to create a script to skip content fast enough because there are branches in here that just arent interesting at all to me, which you cant skip.

First of all Jenna has to be one of the most evil characters in fiction I've seen, even kira had a moral code.

0.65 and the revamp has quite a lot of overlap so it's best to start the second game when the wife starts her job I think, because that alone just cost me about 1 hour to catch up even with skipping every conversation. (the transition times add up when clicking calendar, please remove them)

overall great slow corruption game for the Wife. Im really not interested in any of the side characters like the ex and the estranged daughter, or the step sis, or the sis in law, or the friends wife, especially not the mom, that was the most boring branch for me and it's by far the most with content after the wife I think, it just would not fucking end.

Anyway, like I said great wife corruption game just slowly getting the wife to cheat is just a lot of fun, and the actress they chose is really hot as well so glad about that.

Yea the games becomes linear but whatever, you choose your branch and it sticks to it, plain and simple imo.

I dont know how much longer this can be dragged out but I think its going towards forced feminisation of the MC even though I didnt chose any gay content, which if it does i'll probably just skip all those as well.

But overall was a fun experience, this is a VERY long game

Ok I usually don't comment or anything but I wanted to review this because how bad it is and a waste of time it was but I cannot review cause I didn't write any comments. EDIT2: I didn't know how to review at the time.

Spent 2 or 3 times back to this game thinking it will be "ok".
Spent another fuckin 4h+ on this telling myself "ok it's gonna come at some point".
Bro it never deliver absolutely fuckin nothing. You get spam by 100 bullshit other things that no one gives a fuck about (friend gf, mom, niece, daughter, step siter, and all the fuckin village), all that for fuckin nothing. 1 random picture of a girl you don't even fuckin know.
And the main MC, GF - spent 4h+ multiple times skipping 90% of the crap and still nothing.

I'm a slow burner but this shit is garbage.
And whoever says the story is good and characters matter, go fuck yourself.

There is absolutely nothing. Do not waste your time on this.

The game USED to be really good, had a plot a mechanic that seemed interesting, but i guess it got too big and is now no different from any other NTR phone game on the site. It's full of bloated features which do nothing, you only really read a story through the most un interesting texts and maybe you will get a vide or picture. The mind control feature plays almost no part, choices only lock you out of routes and it's really just boring and repetitive, there is almost no porn for the amount of text and the plot is going nowhere, the only thing you do is end the day and maybe go to e separate messaging app and then end the day.

If you plan on playing it just go with the non revamped version.

Unfortunately, the author broke the previous game format and failed to properly transfer all storylines and plot branches; the new version feels like a mangled spin-off. Up to version 0.6.5 the game was promising, but unfortunately no miracle happened. At this point, it is sloppy work. Ideally, the author should redo everything from scratch, but he won’t go for that.

This is a somewhat challenging review to write only because there is clearly a tremendous amount of effort going into it and yet somehow the game only improves mechanically...Sort of.

First the good. This game is actively developed with frequent updates and a constant effort to improve its feel and functionality. This is one of the more "functional" phones in this genre, with many different (if underused) features designed to make the app inventory feel more robust.

The content has competent corruption escalation and a reasonably interesting story with a truly mind numbing number of side stories and quests.

It does get pretty clicky relatively quickly, and I often found myself skipping through interactions I had no interest in.

That brings us to another positive: There is a ton of content. So much that starting a new game feels daunting as it will take a very long time, even skipping to get caught up.

While subjective, the Casey Calvert (real porn) wife model is attractive and compelling for my tastes, but some of the faces are so recognizable from these real porn games that you quickly find overlapping archetypes that pulled me out of immersion. This isn't a swipe at the developer, as I imagine finding real porn content sufficient to build a game of this size must leave few options.

Now to the negatives. The first is that this is a "revamp" that picks up where the original effort left off, attempting to apply more polish to the presentation which, in fairness, it does more than adequately.

The problem is that there are only a few choices that matter to the overall flow of the game, and nearly every one of those occur very early (or in the last game) making what happens in this one largely minor flavor changes.

While it's true you can customize your world state from the previous title when starting, the bottom line is based on those initial choices, your ride will be largely kinetic from that point on.

While I appreciate the ability to disable specific content and questlines from one of the phone apps, it doesn't change the fact that you'll be revisiting it often as more and more characters you may have no interest in interacting with jump into your chats.

In my view, sometimes less is more, and a smaller cast a player can reasonably keep track of and who offer more meaningful interaction would have served both the developers and players well here.

It feels like the game is an ocean wide but only an inch deep in that regard, with a very small number of real kinetic paths once some early choices are made.

I would love to have seen fewer, tighter branches with more attention paid to them than a thousand shallow hookups with little in the way of consequence or impact to story.

The coding involved with the phone functionality itself feels well done, and the frenetic pace of development is commendable, but in its current form, the game just doesn't offer enough choice impact to really feel like you're more than spectator (sometimes a reluctant one) on a path chosen at the very beginning.

I hope subsequent revisions and development address some of these critiques, which I offer in the genuine interest of seeing the game coalesce into something more.

(v0.86) Although the premise is interesting this is a weak/bad game with very linear paths/story lines.

At the current state of this game, it is more like a visual novel and less like a sandbox. The apps, including the map are kind of useless. There is not much space for exploration and discovery - you simply react to notifications and take a few decisions just like you would do in any ordinary visual novel - and, a very reactive and unsurprising visual novel (as it is now).

The core idea, supposedly, is about about control, but we don't really have much control of anything. When playing we never get to feel that. It becomes boring after a while, you keep reading text messages.

This game is basically a missed opportunity either for a lack of vision, imagination, or for lack of technical skill (considering the potential complexity of the premise: a pure sandbox game where you use all the apps in the phone).

Considering some of the comments in this forum the author seems uninterested and/or maybe unable to listen to anything negative, critical, and even suggestions for improvements. Or, maybe, the author looks at everything, even fair criticism, as being malicious? That is sadly a common thing amongst creators, but hopefully it isn't the case here...

I finish this this with a small note to Bloody Ink: focus on creating a sandbox, and keep listening to feedback.

A brilliant idea turned into dull garbage.

Financial leverage was needed in the original game. And even then, it could have been implemented within the story. Stock market trading, real estate, bank deposits, and other "expansions" in Revamp don't affect the story, meaning they're redundant (a needless burden on the game).

The dialogue is dull and repetitive with slight variations. It feels like MC is a paralyzed 80-year-old man who can only threaten to go out the window and beat up annoying bullies.
Especially after the transformation. The fem-MC threatens to block lecherous penis photographers hundreds of times, but continues reading hundreds of lines.
The player can't even skip the entire message; they're forced to wait for the wall of disgusting text to scroll.

Revamp isn't a game, but several linear visual novels combined into one.

Its a "one-timer". Maybe worth to have a look a second time. But after that its one of the game getting annoying.
The storylines seems pretty nice - until they disturb each other.
Maybe here would be a less is more?
In summary: Its worth a play, but after it you can ignore it.

The first one-third of this is genuinely the best cuckold game I've played. The context of the scenes, the gradual corruption and the porn scenes were super hot. I'd recommend everyone to try it out for that at least. I think there is something for everyone in this game.

Sadly, for me at least, it later turned boring with the wife just hooking up with BBC again and again with little to no variations. After the MC starts sharing the wife with the wife's knowledge of it, the rest of the story is just not interesting anymore. Also, not being to turn off specific branches (especially incest) after the revamp is a huge turn-off for me.

Sexy app game. The wife is hot and fun.
the download links are a pain though. all of them look like scams when you first down to download. but then you finally work out how to get past the 'pop up boxes' it's heap of fun

This used to be such a fun game, despite being wonky and a bit of a mess with cross pathing. Since the rework, it's a visual novel without any fun and with so many extra steps. I think it tried to do too much, and now its such a mess, trying to fix it is only making it worse.

A Wife’s Phone – Version 0.78 (Revamp)

I just can’t warm up to this VN. And yes — it really is nothing more than a VN. At the start, you have to choose one of the main routes. I’ve only played one so far — the sissy transformation/feminization route — and I have to say I got bored pretty quickly.

The netorare/cuckold content is poorly executed, the mysterious hypno messages are a huge missed opportunity, and the MC’s corruption — along with that of his surroundings — is far too repetitive and happens too quickly. On top of that, there are way too many unnecessary characters and side plots, delivered through the in-app messages, that are badly timed and add very little of value. More isn’t always better!

I’m still waiting to experience the MC’s final transformation into a woman and follow their new sex life afterward — but it hasn’t happened. The only real plus point is the consistency of the actresses in both the images and videos. That said, most of the videos feel repetitive, tasteless, and downright boring.

There should also be a BNWO tag, because the content is basically all about Big Black C****.

I played this game at an early stage in development and I thought it had an interesting idea that other games tried to do but this one did it the best . So i dropped it for some time and thought to return now after some updates.

And yeah this is not for me, after you lock in a certain path the game stops giving any choice and sort of turns into a comic that you're just reading.
No choices no gameplay and no agency on the player's part.
and the writing just gets increasingly worse as you progress through the game

It's no surprise that the game is declining, with fewer and fewer players. It's been a long time since I've seen such an unprofessional approach from the developers. Each update ends with a cliffhanger that leads nowhere in the next update.

So. This game sucks. Sucks a lot. Then why am I giving it 4 stars? Well let's talk about it:

So the game has NO gameplay whatsoever, because it's basically a kinetic with 5 main choices and some secondary content related to choices here and there.

The narrative is slow, repetitive and sometimes quite incoherent. It's absurdly redundant. BUT. It has one incredible caracteristic that carries it up to 4 stars.

The corruption, and the diversity of flavours, is AMAZING. You have the sissy route, the transformation route, the ntr classic route, the ntr reverse (like a fucking pokemon card) with nts at the end. You have nts. You have femdom, you have hidden, shown, you have the alpha route with prostitution (which is amazing). What the fuck do you want more? Oh right. Step sister, niece, mom and feminized brother too. Come on. This game has EVERTHING. Good porn, kinda coherent in the actresses shown. It's good. I hightly suggest it. Just for the fap potential. Other then that well... it's passable. I didn't even try reading everything. No way. Too many passages or "steps" as the game calls them.

P.S. I GET IT, he HATES Jenna, now stop repeating that every fucking sentence. And there's no need to make a step for EVERTHING. Now there's going to be a step for a kiss on the cheek. You don't need to go this slow. If you cut to the point everyone will be happier, you as a developer because you'll finish the game AND the viewer.

This would have been so much better with far less taunting and race play. The game is advertised as a Wife Corruption game, but it's a "Black Men are superior in every way and white women are destined to fuck every black man on the planet" (Edit: I didn't know the term BNWO when I wrote this review. It's BNWO game disguised as a Wife Corruption game) game with tons of taunting that can't be turned off.

If that's the kind of game you want to make, then you should advertise it as such at the get-go. I was only interested in the slow corruption of the wife in various scenarios (and it is slow, it takes forever to get to anything juicy, but some of them are done really well, so it's a 2-star instead of 1. The striptease was particularly sexy, but then you have to play for like another 7 hours of clicking through passing time to get to the next spicy scene).

Give an option to see the corruption of the wife and NTR of the other female characters with far less meaningless taunting, which doesn't even feel that bad considering John says stuff like "I could have stopped it and I just let it happen" even though there's literally no in-game mechanism to stop it other than initially choosing to go down that route, and then the game would be 3 stars for me. Cut down on a lot of pointless days where nothing happens and you just click through, and then it would be 4 stars. Make the race play less prominent, and more in-line with what's advertised, and it's 5 stars.

Oh, and the Camera for spying is criminally underutilized. It think it's used like 3 times the whole time. You play the game and think, "Oh, she's going out to the club/party, "I'll be able to spy on her like that one time she went to the Black and White Club." Nope. No camera spying. You'll just have to pray they include photos or videos of what happened the next day, which is hit or miss, because a lot of the time, they only sort of hint at what happened and never show it or confirm if anything actually happened or not. Why even have the damn camera?!

And finally, why the fuck are there so few cumshots? Lots of sex, very little cumshots.

The potential for 5 stars is there, and quite easily achievable, but the game is not what's promised, story or gameplay wise. So much potential sent down the gutter.

The game contents are great with best ntr in all phone simulator game here in this site so this 2 star is just for the contents BUT!!
It's time consuming, if it's because of the amount of contents then I would give it a 5 star but it's not, repeated contents is the worst thing in this game, while playing this game I feel like iam reading some romantic manga for example here we have to play through hours of contents just for wife's friend to convence her to share her number with other guy just to be friends, while playing I get the feeling like I read the same dialogue or there has been this same talk has already happened like in 80% of game.
I feel like even dev forgot most of the game with each update just released same update with some editing.
This cannot be fixed because the game is like I said days worth of contents so I was never able to complete this game without getting bored.
This review is for before remake which you have to play before Playing remake, I tested first update of remake but in that you can't skip any contacts like mom and sister etc which I never played and can be skipped before remake, couse of this I lost motivation to play through the game iam in hold.

1. Like I said the contents ARE great and WILL be.if you can grind through this game.
2. For just the types of contents I can say this game is best not ONE OF THE but best out of all phone simulator games.
3. I don't know if the phasing in remake is better of if they implemented skipping for non intresting contents in recent updates but I don't know if I want to play this game against

This is a strange game. On the BNWO path there is a dialogue where our wife's friend tells how a white MC made her have an orgasm 9 times and how she was pleased with him.

This is absolutely contrary to the whole superstructure, why would a wife cheat on her husband? If he is doing well with it.

I really didn't like this moment, it feels like Dev doesn't understand what BNWO is and how to properly present the text, it's clear that the person doesn't know enough about this topic.

I don't recommend this game to BNWO fans, it won't live up to your expectations.

This game may have a lot of content, but it's not a game. Various steps are mixed together and trigger each other. I just want to ask the author if they have played the game they made . I don't want to say it's a pile of garbage produced by the author, but the fact is that it's a pile of garbage.
