RPGM - Abyss of Pleasure [v0.2.6 Remastered] [Jpegsama]

This game is an excellent example of what a femprotag game in RPGM shoud look like. It is on the medium-slightly short length, but filled with kinky H-content with a diverse cast of antagonists. What the game also really excells at (surprisingly) are some of the systems like the basement in the house, which really add to the overall RPG feeling of the game.

Combat: 5/5
Combat can be described as simple top-down real action combat with two kinds of attacks: sword attacks and magic. If you play it save, you will usually never get caught, but if you missstep, you can get your HP annihilated in a matter of seconds. The traps in certain dungeons also increase movement difficulty, which is a nice addition. To add to that, there is 3 different difficulty levels that you can choose from depending on whether u just want to rush an easy game or have a bit of a challenge. I have absolutely no complaints here, the stamina at the beginning might be an issue but with blacksmith upgrades it's really a non-issue later on.

H-Scenes: 4/5
The H-Scenes are what we are all interested in, and they are diverse, really kinky and the protagonist obviously hits the spot with her thick body. To add to that, the dialogue makes the scene feel more alive, although the writing could be slightly better. The only thing that could be improved is that they are not animated, they show movement mostly through sound, which HoneySelect is definitely more than capable of, but other than that they are really good.

World Building: 5/5
Overall cozy landscapes, the music and lighting really makes the maps stand out. The custom sprites are a really nice addition, since they are also animated during sex scenes so u have "2 perspectives" so to speak. The world is also filled with different women outside you getting fucked like crazy. Overworld movement and design is clean no complaint.

Rounded up to 5 because of the completed tag, but I seriously wish there was even more content, the game is too good to already end.

This is one of the best games on her. Very well-done CG, great job with pregnancy, excellent variation in fetishes, very good female main character. Dialogue and story are good as well, especially for a RPGM game. highly recommend.

Abyss of pleasure is a great game. There are plenty of scenes and you don't have to work at all to unlock them. This to me is probably why I enjoy the game so much because their is a simple story and no grind at all.

honestly i love this game and i love the design and how the h scenes go honestly the only thing that needs expansion the goblin village storyline it could lead to one of the endings imo. The combat is pretty hard but once you get it it gets easier

a very unique and beautiful game. The gameplay is "action" using rpgmaker, and it's very hard. The game is still in development, but it has A LOT of content. A bit of a warning, the scenes are NOT vanilla, EVER. Overall a pretty big pool of kinks with a very unique (and cool) artstyle.

Love the game so far, the atmosphere of the h-scenes is catchy.
Some scenes could have been better if expanded imo, and maybe extended game over scenes? Just a thought.

Would love to support this guy through boosty, but somehow they don't accept my payment, even with several tries.. bummer..

I like the 0.2.1 update(especially the goblin village part, hope there will be more events in that place like incest or more baby-making with goblin dad), the current update gameplay is enjoyable, hope for more interesting contents from Jpegsama in the future.

==Gameplay==

Basically just an inferior version of "Wolf of Shadow." Its an RPGM game w/ real time combat with one basic attack, one spell, a dodge, and a stamina meter. Aside from the fact "Wolf of Shadow" had more time to develop and flesh out gameplay and combat (if we're excluding time dev spent on the previous turn-based version), this game in its current state is inferior regardless through -one thing at the moment- in the game, that being hits Hits Missing.
Considering how RPGM in real time is beyond janky with even "Wolf of Shadow" moving to unity, I don't understand why the dev decided to stick RNG to attacking in a real time game, it's just bad design that makes the game artificially harder than it has to, even on normal difficulty. Might be something to do with how the dev decided to code the game but its still a massive pain in the ass that should be dealt with soon.
Other than that New spells were added to the game which require some souls and a crystal to acquire, though it should be noted that its a linear progression tree with 1 path so you can't chooose which spell you want to unlock at a given time. I only unlocked the healing spell at first, but I decided to just call it quits since the game crashed when I tried to enter the hob-goblin's lair.
I should also add that there's been some QoL improvements to the game with some sparkly items you can pick up and there's finally a way to farm ingredients for potions in the basement, which I completely forgot about until now since ingredients were hard to spot with the only way to farm them effeciently being certain areas, which turned into a slog since exploration is so slow since you're permanently set at at walking speed since sprint is now for dash.

==Presentation==

While the story is barebones and non-existent with some bugs here and there (hob-goblin cave crash, buffer array bug serving tables, likely more), I do appreciate the custom sprites, helps kinda seperate it from other RPGM games with the uniform aesthetic and I like the 3d models in the game, though I think the shader for the renders could be better.

I don't typically like 3dcg, and while I do think the models are fine, I prefer having 3d animations over renders. Its not a knock against the game, but I do think the renders can be improved, like adding ripples for the butt during sex and maybe a bit more movement with the breasts too to generally have a better sense of motion and/or weight to the sex scenes' renders since a mostly static model with a blur effect can only do. Not sure what software the dev uses for the models and renders but I hope there would be something that could help.
Additionally, preggo content was added in the last patch or so but its mostly relegated to endings which is a bit disappointing.

==Suggestions and Improvements==
Get rid accuracy. I do not want RNG to dictate whether or not I hit something unless it was explicitly explained that I am basically gambling. This has been a large issue with the game for a long time IIRC, and there isn't a solid argument I can think of when its removal will immediately make the whole game far more better.

Also, make players move a bit faster too (~sprint speed) since the maps are pretty large and exploration feels like a slog unless players spam dodge, and slow down projectiles a tad bit too while giving some telegraphing where they are thrown to make dodging a more controlled.

And I am not particularly picky about it, but I would prefer having to the FMC being pregnant for a certain time period with some unique scenes with enemies or maybe some sort of mechanic (maybe a magic buff w/ halved mana consumption while having melee do less damage) instead of just flashing to an instant birth scene or have them relegated to endings

-Maybe display the hitboxes too like wolf of shadow did, and maybe increase stamina too or add some way to upgrade it so you don't take 2 swings and need a break.-


==Conclusion==
This game has some decent looking scenes, but the combat is flawed and could be improved to where you aren't always trying to avoid combat along with some bug fixes


==TLDR==
If you don't have a preference over 2d or 3d, I recommend you play Wolf of Shadow over this, but if you like 3d more and don't mind something ~sub-par to okay so long as the H is good, I'd recommend this, though unfortunately, new preg content is relegated to ~endings mostly.

Truly massive potential. If updates keep releasing at a consistent pace we could be looking at a favorite. The art is extremely well done and might carry other aspects of the game, and yet I am leaving 5 stars. Just some more polish and fattening up of the tertiary systems (like combat... just worthless) will make this game nearly perfect once the story and a substantial number of scenes are finished.

Edit version 0.25: The rework has improved massively and the game now also has a gallery and 2 endings. Even the combat has been improved by adding proper attack patterns to enemies. Content has also been expanded massively so a solid 5/5 from me overall. Gritty artwork and dark atmosphere is stellar and one of a kind. With lots of rape, abuse and humiliation focussed content. Especially the orc in the hut scene was stellar. Slavery content was sadly only teased in the brothel. If you don't count the many instances of breeding slavery to monsters. I hope for a proper sequel or game in similar setting. The one negative would be the overly long final dungeon.

I will base the game on both version the (at this point incomplete) rework and the original version.

The setting the game is set in a pseudo medieval fantasy world with slimes orcs etc. The MC is part of an order of slutty witches. So she is very powerful but can still be defeated. But due to her magic powers she can still recover after being used as rape meat, breeder and livestock even for an extended period of time. Even though this might sound ridiculous through its presentation it is presented very well in the game the minimalistic pixel look even enhances this grimy atmosphere making everything seem more dirty and disgusting. The sex scenes and the extremely brutal and sexist world are near perfection.

The story in the rework is a bit more abstract and not yet very well implemented you start out in a random cave and afterwards just take random quests in a small town. I hope this gets improved with at least some more interesting motivations or humiliating treatment by locals.

The gameplay in the old version was mostly rpgm turn based battles decent but not much to write home about. The new has an real time action combat system. I preferred the original as the later just feels like stun lock based button mashing due to the enemies and the mc moving and attacking way too fast. Leaving no time for strategy magic feels pathetically powerless, a bit strange for a mc and that is suposed to be a magician.

My 2 cents for an improvement to the combat system would be to make both ranged and melee attacks magic based and to slow both attacks and movement down.

Overall the game is a very good porn game with a great atmospere the original game was a 5/5 and the rework has still some rough edges then it comes to story and combat but stands on a very solid foundation 4/5.
Overall i would still rate it 5 stars for being a truly special and great game for me personally.

Updated system SUCKS lmao. Map is large and new stamina system means that you can sprint for about ~3 seconds before you need to wait just as much time for your stamina to recharge. Souls leveling system is completely unnecessary and clunky in its execution. Updated graphics aren't even all that different from the old version. Feels like we essentially lost a whole bunch of content in this "update" and instead got a worse game.

Absolute worst part is the stamina system, btw. If the dev continues with this route of development, make the map more navigable and for god's sake give the player an actual usable amount of stamina so they don't have to plod through the map at a snail's pace.

Although I like the CGs of this game and I find the scenes very well done in general, I'd say the game has a fundamental structural problem when it comes to actually executing the ideas it has in mind.

The combat system is not engaging in the slightest and I can forgive that (its a porn game, after all) but things like the corruption mechanic that is basically a staple of this genre is very poorly done, only appearing as a book with an image, having no impact on the access to CGs or character progress, as the character seems to be basically be a sex addict right out the door.

If you're looking for a corruption story, this ain't it. If you're looking for a good RPG, this ain't it. If you're looking for some amazing CGs (in my opinion)? Its the spot. Hell, it basically hard carries this game. Just do yourself a favor and do it on easy mode. You won't get much out of it.

cool and great to enjoy nice little puzzles and nice little events. would recommend to anyone to play. good graphics and great story As well. Good fighting system and enemys are fun to fight against. teleportation system helps a ton fold.

I have mixed feeling about this one. The main selling point of the game is art, of course, it has such a peculiar vibe it is worth checking out on its own. Other than that, sadly, it's too generic RPGM game. Lots of slow walking, boring combat, empty world. It has many fetishes, but MC is just a dumb girl, and things are just happening with her - no intricate stories or plot, get raped. Still, there is something unique in this one, and I will definitely check this one later.

Amazing art, great gameplay, it has loads of potential. Character has just the right amount of thiccness. Has everything from goblins, slime, to horses and wolves, will be watching this one with great interest.

Love the pixelated artwork, a lot of 3D can look janky but pixelating it like this fixes the issue
Scenes are all hot, though can get repetitive, wish there was some variations in defeats
Minimum amount of grinding, enough to make it feel like a proper game without becoming too annoying

I loved the ART style, the woman and the hot sex scenes. Hoped that there would be more content, but alas. The art could use some improvements but I won't complain as long as there's more content. Expecting more diversity in the monsters and the dialogue with the monsters.

As of .3 there is not a lot of content but what is there is really good. Fun game with hot sex scenes and sex sounds. Some minor bugs do need to get fixed but so far nothing game breaking. Good for abount an 1 or 2 hours of content

I really enjoy this game so far. The main character is hot and the scenes so far are pretty hot aswell. I'm especially a big fan of the fact that you don't shy away from bestiality and I'm looking forward to more content in future updates.

The game obviously hasn't gotten far in terms of lore, but the MC not even having shame in the first place, taking into account the stuff she does, is what keeps me around for this game.

Whether the art is niche or not I can't tell, it's mixed opinions. I overall got very positive impressions from the art.

Add running/sprint to the game? Would be very nice, I from the beginning already tried to use shift to go faster, but to no avail.

Audio is really nice, while also being quite subtle.
