    Actual Roommates 2 [Ch.2] Review

Finally took the time the other night to finish Actual Roommates 1, which was of course good. My favorite ending was Jessica of all people, lol. But this is about AR2, and giving my thoughts on it. First off I love the new chapter length, this feels like 2-3x the size of chapters in AR1, and it's great. It seems while the story went with the "Harem route" as the canon ending to AR1, it feels like Rikako is the main "other mom" given she's the only one who influenced Valerie in any way which I find a little sad.

Love interest wise a bit of give and take, I really like some while one kind of rubs the wrong sometimes, but that's just me. I think my only real criticism so far in this game is that some of the love interests are route locked, so if you choose to be more like Violet, or Rikako. It will stop you from hooking up with who you are interested in, which already hit me in the game, as an Empress route player.

But yeah, I give AR2 a strong 4/5 stars, a lot of potential, a sequel that captures what made the first game good, lots of cute girls, but it does have a flaw of exclusive content that forces the player to be one way, or the other to get.

I don't really review games too often but I will for this one because it is worth it. (sorry to Hanako if I am mischaracterizing them)

Actual Roommates 1 and 2 both excel at what they are try to do. HanakoXVN does not seem to be trying to go for a huge drama like some other devs. They are writing a story like a popcorn flick.

The plot is a bit campy, over the top, and yes there is definitely porn logic. That is also what makes it so fricken fun. The writing is both light and funny but also with just a hint of over the top background story to keep it balanced. Every girl in AVN is already a lesbian, bisexual, or a straight girl who hasn't found the right girl yet (the FMC obviously). While yes this is campy and over the top that is kind of the point of this AVN and a part of the charm of it.

Also since this is an AVN lets get to the adult parts of the story. This novel does a great job of giving you what you want. If you are coming in for the lesbian sex you are going to get it. This is not a slow burn story at all. You are going to get the girls. In most novels this can make it feel rushed but in this novel it works.

Finally dev speed. Hanako keeps the novel moving. During AR1 and so far for AR2 have been pretty speedy. I never feel like the time between the chapters drag on too long. I have faith that Hanako will keep it up and I will continue to support the chapter releases and will buy it on steam when it releases there.

What a pleasure to find these adventures in this second opus. Everything is there: humor, beauty, settings, eroticism and story. A must-have lesbian VN. BRAVO 10/10 already even it's the second chapter!

Incredible Chapter 1. Very hot characters, and a game of this CG quality being a lesbian harem is pretty unique in my opinion. I can only pray that this gets finished and not abandoned. I'm definitely looking forward to Chapter 2 and beyond.

If you enjoyed the first Actual Roomates, you're more than welcome to a lot more of it - the new characters are interesting, the renders continue to be nice and the fun is just starting. Can't wait for more!

[Review] Actual Roommates 2 – Sorority Crash Chapter 1

Alright folks, Actual Roommates 2 – Sorority Crash is an unfiltered blast of lesbian chaos, college drama, and lovable insanity. If you played the first game (Actual Roommates) and thought, “Damn, this is wild, hot, and hilarious,” then buckle up — the sequel kicks things up in every way.

You play as the daughter of Violet Lawrence (yep, that Violet), and instead of just riding mommy’s coattails, you’re thrown headfirst into a college life full of horny disasters and secret agendas,. The vibe? Total trainwreck — but sexy, funny, and weirdly emotional. You’ll come for the girls, but you’ll stay for the story.

Characters are the heart here. Everyone’s got personality, their own hang-ups, their own hilarious (and often hot) side plots. You’ve got flirty rivals, unhinged roomies, mysterious upperclassmen, and a walking fever dream in a fur suit. It’s like watching a CW show written by a very horny genius who knows how to write actually good dialogue.

The lewd content? It delivers. It’s not just generic plug-and-play stuff. The devs clearly care about the characters and dynamics — so the payoff (whether it's sweet, messy, or downright filthy) feels satisfying. And the best part? It’s super gay, in all the best ways. If you're into girls loving girls with a little chaos sprinkled on top, this game is for you.

As for how it stacks up to the original? No contest — Sorority Crash lives up to the legacy and then some. It respects what made Actual Roommates great (the humor, the charm, the absurdity), but adds just enough more to make it it's own. It’s a proper evolution, not just a lazy rehash.

Art and animations are clean and expressive, music’s catchy, and the pacing keeps things moving without dragging. You’ll laugh, you’ll simp, you’ll probably reload a few saves to see every single scene (don’t lie, we all do it).

    Final Verdict:
    • Great writing
    • Lovable (and bangable) cast
    • Fun plot with, what's shaping up to be, real stakes
    • Enough lewd to keep your mouse hand busy
    • Chaos orange furball 10/10
If you liked the first game or just want a VN that mixes heart, humor, and heat without taking itself too seriously — Actual Roommates 2 – Sorority Crash is a must-play.

Rating: 9.5/10, would replay Chapter 1 again.

I don't love Female Protagonist games, only when its Lesbian better yet Lesbian Harem like AR2

LI's are decent to good looking.

Humor is good - sock might be better than spoon from the 1st AR.

Waiting to see how the relationships in this new lesbian harem flesh out

"Actual Roommates" was already awesome. The sequel starts off even better. There are different romantic paths to chose from, there are elements of character development and it all pays out in a spicy envoronment. If you love Visual Novels with female protagonists and lesbian content then you cannot pass up on this one!

Almost everything Hanako touches ends up being one of my favorites.

Do you like lesbian content? You'll be at home here.
Do you like good music? All of the tracks here are bangers. I'm not sure if there are any new ones compared to the first Actual Roommates but all of those were bangers as well. Banger by proxy I suppose.
Do you like cats? We have one. Orange variety. Blood for the Blood God and all.
Do you like harems? Hanako has you covered. Even if you don't like harems, you can enjoy who you want to enjoy.

There's an overall plot but the starting focus is mostly on character dynamics. Spicy moments are followed up by wholesome ones. Dramatic scenes tend to have breathing room in between so one isn't overwhelmed.

Granted this is only chapter 1 but knowing Hanko's track record, I have full faith that this will be coherent, funny, suspenseful, and most importantly, complete.
