A four-star rating might be a bit generous for this game, but I'm legitimately happy to see Lesson of Passion finally adopting Ren'Py, as well as departing from the hellish gameplay recipe of time/resource management. These are two very important steps in the right direction for the future of LoS.
Content-wise, this game is rather short, the plot feels forced in several of its paths, the animation is a bit janky here and there, and the moaning audio clips that play in the background are so bereft of passion, I'd rather mute them. On the other hand, the short length of this game means it doesn't overstay its welcome, and the renders are high-quality (the one redeeming quality that LoS can always fall back on). I haven't explored every path yet, so I can't say for sure how easy it is to unlock every ending, but considering how short the game it, it can't possibly be that hard.
I will be looking forward to the next LoS games, hoping they will continue using Ren'Py as an engine and keeping the gameplay as simple as in this one.
