Dear F95 people

This community is very cool and this is my first post/question.

I wanted to ask you if you guys know about the new AI models and especially what you think of them.

I mean we have the capabilities to create good looking and also sounding content (images, sounds, videos) locally on our machines. Yes, it takes a lot of Hardware Power but there are even some small good looking models which could also be used for well anything, it will also get way accessible in the future.

I am also not talking about creating new never seen content. I am talking about stuff which is already out there but reimagining them with AI and making them more fun ... As these models are trained on human content they are the best when they replicate that for the moment.

I was flabbergasted all the way through tbh. Do you guys like stuff like that?

What I am imagining is VNs with voice, images and videos for not fast moving scenes.

I mean there are workflows out there for creating content in ComfyUI but do you guys have tips? We have models which can "memorize" characters and faces with some Flux models.

I know there is some AI created content out there but it is the most generic and uncreative stuff out there, it looks good though. What Im looking for is games which are helped by AI and the developer uses them as a tool and not as the main selling point.

Do you guys have ideas on tools which we could use to create content with the help of models?

I think you're on the same page as me in some places, and I think AI is brilliant at this aspect of giving new life to what's already there, and the bar is very low, which has led to a lot of unexpected and surprisingly good work coming out. But it might be even more difficult to originate a great game using AI than it would be to do it without it.

I think that you are right. I am creating on game myself using ai for the images and sometimes it is very limited. One issue that I find is that it is very difficult to achieve that the characters do not blend and that they do what you want. Also in terms of create original characters I found that, at list with anime or hentai models, it is almost impossible. Other than that, what it really helps me is to use LLMs get general ideas or to do a brainstorming.

Every so called Artist here who think its their content when they hammer commands on a keyboard needs to think twice.
its the unhuman AI algorithm who creates this its not you.
You dont even know what you get only AI knows how the final images will look.
You are just an watcher not an Artist

This is also why it should be banned to earn money from AI art.

Do AI games for the poor losers here and for fun nothing more.

I kind of get your point but look I am really not talking about 100% AI Gen stuff, as I know that AI should not be used for creating never seen stuff, as it cannot really do that and I do not want any generic bullshit. What I'm thinking about is a ground concept of a game which is already new and fun, and then use AI to create characters, scenes, music, videos. Use the AI for the stuff which is visible, but we should have a clear sight of what we want to generate. We do not give the model artistic freedom it is bound to our vision and the generating abilities of the model itself!

Look, I am not an Artist, I do want to be one but I just do not have much time and other resources. I kind of could be a dev though... For me these models are a godsent, I just need to be able to use them to create my vision of a fun game!!!

I do understand your point that the Artists have never been paid out for training these models on their content which is very very true. I also think that artists should be paid something still!!! But this is a systematical issue, companies have web crawled and stolen images from the .net. and used it to train their model and give it to us as open source or which is way more evil, closed source with a price on it. This is pure evil but you cannot put a lid on technology!!! You have to punish companies and goverments and private people there is so much work which will just not happen look at our world!!! You have to also look at it from the other not artist side, this is gatekeeping you do not want us as artists as we did not spend the time to learn to draw and create 3D objects. I also kinda get that but being a real artist at the end is still better as you literally can create your vision with your own drawings, you can use a modell to generate code... should we also not use coding AIs ? As we push buttons and code generates... it goes against developers... I kinda get its not the same but its similar...
