One of those games where the concept is cool, but it ends up being a flop either due to balancing or execution. The girls are kinda cute, which is what drew me to the game. The idea is to simultaneously develop your relationships with these girls while managing different aspects of the land you own. The issue is that it's severely skewed or doesn't work out if you're trying to focus on everything evenly.
Example: You want to develop some girls over others. They give you a significant boost in income via sharing profits or allowing you favors. The farm girl and the inn girl allow you to both profit significantly from their income after you become close enough with them.
There's basically no reason to chase after your maids or the girl in debt - only for sex scenes, which....don't do anything for your character? IF there was a lust meter or something then maybe...but the rules of this game are skewed. Every now and then, you'll be attacked by random enemy troops and will get a 5 day warning. This wouldn't be an issue if there was a limit on how many troops you could develop at a time, or if you could get a steady amount of income. Yes, you can level up your sources of income...which also cost money. You can collect debt constantly at the cost of missing out on developing relationships or attaining knowledge (you need knowledge to reduce the cost of things or leveling up your income even more). This places you in a cycle where you must:
1. Manage prisoners (Execute them so that you GUARANTEE the debt collection)
2. Collect Debt
3. Wait each day for laborers to come in.
4. Recruit military
5. Upgrade your walls + place more turret towers
6. Upgrade your accuracy for said towers with knowledge
7. Repeat steps 1-6.
Sure, you can argue, "git gud", but you have 2 of 3 options. Option 1 - Recruit enough military that you outnumber the enemy troops invading. Option 2 - Giga upgrade your walls and towers so that you can hopefully beat the enemy if they outnumber you. Option 3 - Restart from a previous save or give up.
This wouldn't be awful if the game gave you guaranteed income. Sometimes the public won't let you collect debt, so you have to rape the girl to set an example or execute a bunch of prisoners so that they'll be afraid of consequences. The tax-revenue you get isn't enough to offset all the expenses, and that's if you're not simping for the priestess that always makes you donate random amounts of money to develop your relations with her. End of the day, it's frustrating and would be more fun if you had stable income or more time slots. The fact that any wasted timeslots can end in a future game over almost makes this the Dark Souls of tycoon, pseudo-persona hentai games. I guess if you're into that, then you have your perfect game.
