I’ve just set up a Discord server specifically for Adult Game Developers and anyone interested in creating adult games. It’s not easy to find peers or solid resources in this part of the industry, and we all know the struggle of trying to troubleshoot issues that no one else seems to talk about. So, I thought, why not create a place where we can all connect, share knowledge, and support each other?

Whether you’re just starting out, or you've been creating for a while, this server is for anyone serious about adult game development. We’ve got channels for sharing resources, asking questions, or just kicking back and chatting with like-minded people who get what you’re doing. Let's make it easier to find solutions, showcase work, and maybe even spark some collaborations.

If you're interested, feel free to join and invite others who might be, too. Let's build a real community where we can grow, learn, and make some amazing stuff together.

Developers that have the dev tag here have a shared area already which also includes a discord, if I am not mistaken. Not trying to rain on your parade, but the devs have been bonding and sharing for a long time already.

Also I don't see a double post. I did post one in Programmers, then realized General chat might be the proper avenue.

Read the rules - the on-topic-rule No 5 ' Do not promote your own unofficial Sites/Blogs/Discords/YouTube Channels/etc, unless it's relevant to a service you're providing the community (eg, a Modder's Patreon) '. One time is already enough, so the other got removed. Check with the mods if in doubt

When you get the dev tag here, you also get access to the developer only section, as well as access to the dev only channel on F95's discord server. As far as I know anyway, I'm not actually in F95's discord.

Open a support ticket (General support), link your game thread here, and provide some kind of proof that you're the actual game developer. Something like being logged into patreon/substar (Hiding personal info, of course) or working on your game's renders/code, something to prove you're the dev.

Seriously? I read your words, but are you seriously expecting to be taken serious when you simply dismiss that there are rules? And most actually for a good reason to make this an enjoyable stay for the lot of us

I didn't dismiss there are rules. I said I don't memorize them. And you came at my post like a dick rather than just speaking to me like a human. Not sure what YOU expected. When you condescend to people, chances are, they're not going to take it well.
An enjoyable stay for the lot of us is when people post helpful forums. Like I did. Not realizing there was another. So to keep it an enjoyable experience for everyone, try next time to just say "Hey dude, there's another post just like this. And you double posted so I had one removed. Here's the link to the other post like yours". Simple. Effective. And best of all, maintains a "FRIENDLY" environment.

Have you considered FOSS alternatives such as Lemmy or Mastodon instances? Discord is not one I would trust anyway when it comes to privacy.
