I did a quick search and there doesn't seem to be a post already.
What would/should be included in an Adult Game Hall of Fame?

I think the only criteria should be that it has to be a finished game.

The first three entries for me would be:

Living with Temptation by Lesson of Passion
Maddison by VDateGames
School Dreams 3 by Goblinboy

A little mixed bag and all a little bit older.
Anyone have anything to add?

Cursed by AnonymousMan, still one of the best games I've ever played despite not being finished.
Girl Life community version. The most functional and in depth game on any adult website.

Unfinished:
City of broken dreamers - Philly games
Being a Dik - MrPinkCake
Deluca Family - HopesGames

Finished:
Melody - MrDotts
Dreams of desire - LewdLab
Depraved awakening -PhillyGames

I would normally put MilfyCity in my top, however, as it's pretty much a scam (Receiving little to no updates and the dev even starting new games) I can't in good conscience put it in the top 3 .

To be honest, I'm not that set in stone about this decision as a lot of the games I've played as insanely good.

I think for me if a game want's to get in my top 10 all it needs to do is have good animations, in my reviews I always bang on about them as, "Animations are the bread and butter of your game, the tit's and pussy, if you will." - An annoyed God3333

What do you mean by "Hall of Fame" ?

Seeing the games you, and others, named, its looks like some place where "good" games would be put in display. But isn't a Hall of Fame supposed to be a place where you'll find the games that made it into history, not necessarily by their quality, but because of what they added ?

Take a game like Big Brother by example. It's far to be a good game, but who can deny it a place near the center of a Hall of Fame ? A place probably aside to Dating My Daughter and Dreams of desire. It's because those games exist, that the scene is what it is nowadays. They mark the renew of adult gaming ; the Renaissance of the scene after the dark age of flash silly porn animations.
Same can be said for a game like The DeLuca Family, that shown the way and opened the gate to way more games driven by a deep and strong story, way more than by their lewd content. And what about Sakura Dungeon ? What game represent more than this one the fact that adult games can have both action and a story ?

And obviously, should be inside this Hall of Fame, games like Softporn, the first adult game ever, or the Leisure Suit Larry series, first effectively general public adult games.

Since there is no criteria for this 'Hall of Fame' then everything is currently subjective, the same as in real world sports and video game hall of fames. Why do certain people get voted in and others with similar accomplishments do not? But what you bring up is actually an interesting philosophical debate behind the naming of 'fame'. Does the fame represent the literal definition of fame, or is it used as a synonym for achievement? If it is the former, then does a person accept infamy as well, since we could go back further than your example of Leisure Suit Larry and go to Custer's Revenge or similar Atari porn games.

Indeed, it's going to be super subjective, even if we keep fetishes out of the way to keep it as broad as possible.

Not a fan of Halls of Fame, medals, notice-me-senpai tags, reactions, achievements, trophies, VIP and attention in general, but I get the idea. WIRProductions is right, there are Halls of Shame for similar reasons: either games devolved into money laundering schemes or the game itself is a complete joke and money sink regardless of audience due to development or laziness. But mentioning a game alone is counterproductive for obvious reasons. You don't want it to be known. You wish it had never existed. And you wish nobody will fall for it ever again. Nothing to do with subjective reasons here, unfortunately.

The answer here is nothing. Pleasantly surprised by many adult games and hilariously deceived by many as well.

Game developers should keep surprising us in a way that doesn't get to their head and taint their soul. They should also always remember if they don't enjoy their own games, if they don't do it out of passion, if they do it for something else, something tainted... evil by nature and that destroys mankind... then are they ready to face the ultimate challenge?

Chelielz is much better at dark side references so... (Alas, this is not a movie series. This is reality, unless reality is a lie.)

Hi,
What do you mean by "Hall of Fame" ?
I agree that it could be a bit refined - or including the precision that it would integrate several categories:
- the 1st being "completed games"
- 2nd incomplete but "culturally relevant"? etc...

To my personal understanding this thread was intended to build up such a Hall and was awaiting proposals for games to be inducted in said Hall (or not)

Since there is no criteria for this 'Hall of Fame' then everything is currently subjective
We could also start by creating the "walls" of such Hall (criteria - quota - affinities with kinks - etc...) before choosing games.

(Alas, this is not a movie series. This is reality, unless reality is a lie.)
Reality is a lot of things - subjective and relative - we consider as true something that we can perceive with our limited grasp - but as everything is forever changing what we saw as true at some point has already changed or evolved to something else (or We as the observer have changed too so was our past perception true or is it the present one which is no longer the present but the past since time has passed since I started writing) and is nothing more than an illusion - are illusions lies? ;)

Let us decide whether or not we'll build this Hall ;)

Heh, I knew you'd come up with something both funny and insightful as usual.

Agreed that if completed games isn't the minimum requirement, it would be better not to mix it up with ongoing games as those can be... ahem... a mixed bunch. And change at any time.

Either way, I have no intention to prevent fellow users from contributing. I apologize if that's how it came off. :)

Thanks everyone for their input so far. As others have said the idea was to open up a discussion of what could be included in a potential Hall of Fame and how that would be structured. I gave three examples and others have offered theirs.
I think perhaps the hall could be separated into eras which would allow the technical limitations of the time to be taken into account.
