If you're not aware, is on, and people can visit the site to vote for their favorites. TopHouse is running the system, including the website, so I believe it is heavily skewed in favor of their titles, or at the very least, their picks. Which is fine, it's an industry award. But I believe it is fixed or at the very least someone is botting votes.

I visited the site for the very first time today, and noticed that my votes had already been cast. The thing is, I never cast any votes, and all the choices would've never been my selection. But that's pretty much where the drama ends. I guess if someone is out there spoofing IP addresses to get a win for Femboy Futa House, or "my choice" for GOTY, Safari (*spit* YUCK), then damn, enjoy your relevance, I guess.

Anyways I'm curious if anyone else here will find their votes have already been cast and their "choice" is the same as mine, or at the very least not at all what they would've picked. Didn't even realize my cookies were stolen. Someone's had their hand in my jar!

Edit:

TopHouse response from Steam discussion board:

We added Cloudflare to the site
to prevent bots from voting, 1 IP address = 1 vote.

If someone is spamming votes, we are not responsible for that.

FEMBOY FUTA HOUSE is one of the major releases this year, so its popularity is justified.

Not all developers have had time to write about themselves so that people can vote for them (we are encouraging them to write, by the way).

No.

It was obvious to me when I followed a link in a different message that it was nothing more than clickbait.

My vote wasn't already used, but with a shitty shortlist like this that didn't matter much. :HideThePain:
I agree, what the fucking fuck Shattered Mind do in the "Adult Game of The Year" category? It's a bad clone of Super Powered that only got 3.5 stars here. And where is Summertime Saga?
A dozen games in each list, when there's more than dozen new game that appear each month, even limiting to Steam, it's ridiculous.

Is SS on Steam? The page says it's a Steam event. Still, there's way better stuff on Steam, though maybe some titles don't want the free attention extra scrutiny from all those sexy payment processors that comes with something like this.

Hmm, good question. But isn't it even more restrictive to limits to Steam? rhetorical question of course.

Or they didn't cared a single second.
If you look at the list for the game of the year, you find Fresh Women, that is one of, it not the most, sold on Steam. So, totally possible that they needed some games to put with theirs, in order for the results to feel more legitimate, and just randomly picked among the best sales.

If you add this to the "why the fuck did they say that I already voted", it's relatively obvious that they don't care a single second about accuracy, probably because they already know the result.
I mean, if I access their site directly, I can vote. But if I pass by a VPN, I'm told that I already did. So, half the potential voters will not be able to votes... Because the other half used all the IP addresses of their VPN provider to stuff the ballot box.
