The game doesn't have any sort of deviantcy, like NTR and whatever you consider standart tropes with elves. Instead, it focused on bonding between the player and the Elf Matilda.
The game itself is your standart dungeon crawler. You dwelve a dungeon during daytime, and have sex during nighttime in an inn. The gameplay itself is best described as tilebased through chance. You can choose which path you can walk, but a lot is dependant on dice rolling and RNG. Sometimes you land on a camptile, where you can relax and bond with your thicc Elf gf. The more you fuck her, the stronger she gets. And the popular trope of giving her mana through sex applies here as well, which is a nice mechanic
Speaking of thicc, Matildas proportions seem to change with every CG there is. One image has her shown very slender, with actual realistic body proportions and another CG, the one you see when you date her at the onsen, makes someone Kim Kadashian look very skinny instead. Her breast sizes are all over the place. From modest for a hentai game to as big as her entire torso. The artist was sleeping when he drew the CG just like the coder forgot to polish the game. But whats here is very, very nice.
The game has a solid foundation, presentation is great and the dialogues aren't cringe. And the two phases that do blend well with each other very well. One is the JRPG gameplay, the other is her need for mana. Her mana can be replenished by the player being romantic or just fucking her in all the holes. This way, you also level her up. The more she loves you, the stronger she gets. Meanwhile the player character has to level up by paying for one of four courses that you can choose whenever you want, depending on what class you want to play.
There is also the lack of effects. Enemies that got killed don't just disappear in JRPG fashion, they just blink away. theres no feedback in the gameplay. The game has great CG for a game like this, but the effects of the game leave a lot to be desired.
Note that the game itself puts you into time pressure in advancing to the next big checkpooint, but if you fail you can just repeat with your progress not resetting. The game is simply just pretending to pressure you to give the player some sense of plot related urgency, but its in truth simply just a very romantic game.
I give it 4 stars since the gameplay is as solid as the sex scenes are as well but it does lack the polish which would set the game apart from its other unpolished competitors.
tl;dr:
The Good:
- Cute dialogue
- Good voice acting
- Great static art
- Heroine is sexy
- The setting is generic but well established
- Fantastic translation
- Turn based gameplay that is not boring as fuck
- Real time sex scenes that combines static CG and hand drawn animation
- It does the vanilla based romance very well but removes all the deviant fetishes you fuckers jerk off too
The Bad:
- Inconsitent art
- Most of the CG is forgetable
- While the game is cute, the voice acting also comes up as Generic. Generic cute voice for generic sexy elf
- Clothing based events are a CG hunt
- Matildas role as a mage seems to be the best choice of her combat role while you're the tank. Theres not much build variety here
- Sex scenes repeat too often, considering you have to fuck Matilda every day or else you're stuck with her being a scrub, it gets annoying very fast.
The Ugly:
- The animations look stiff and weird sometimes
- Balancing issues up the ass
- Too RNG dependant, epecially during later gameplay.
