Especially in recent years regulations got quite strict here on NSFW-Games. What storefronts are you recommending?

  • As much as i've read it's something like..
    • SubscribeStar - Pretty safe go-to if your content tags would get you in trouble with others like Patreon
    • Patreon -Pretty popular and well known, but you have to more conscious about the content/tags your game covers.. (duh) at least more then on others.
    • itch.io - (idk anything about there positives and negatives to be honest with you)
    • Steam - (afaik, on steam NSFW games are a mess now. You ether required a USK rating or your game wont show up on steam for Germans at all, even if your say Adults only. though don't quote me on that.)
    • F95zone - for promoting and constructive/unfiltered feedback along with discord?
    • other sides I'm not aware of?

- Any other useful advise you would have liked to know earlier?
- And if you're about to, or already have published something, what would you do different based on that experience?

I hope I used the correct forum for that kind of thread^^'
Thanks in advise for the read and your time.

Same payment processors behind it, mostly same rules, but until now one enforced them more than the other.

Steam don't sell NSFW games in German AFAIK.

Many I think, some pirates site, some storefronts, like Epic, GOG, BuymeaCoffee... and some site that shall not be named here, cause rule violations.

Overall best make sure which rules applied in your country. As I assume, you're in Germany and Germany have some of the strictest rules about protecting the minority from material they shouldn't see. Also make sure which type of content your allowed to make and which type of content may make your more familiarise (than you want) with the legal system of your country.
Also make sure you follow the tax regulation from your country if you earn money from your work.

All in all, better search legal advise from a legal counsel than from a bunch of people from a message board or second best directly ask a few know adult devs from your country.
