Updated rating to 3 after giving it a second go with a clear head.
Initial review (whats left of it at least): Models Looked great honestly which makes me sad that I cant see anything past what is basically the first story mission. CO: get 5 strength (i have 39 now), introduce yourself to your class ( I have talked to everyone at every-time in every location, even out of class but still in school), Talk to Kitsune at night (she just says the same thing about working out).
Update 1: I can progress now that I have given a second attempt after calming down a bit. My main issues are with 2 specific things right now. Doing anything in the school is a chore. Navigating is ok to an extent but I found out there are not clearly marked things to enter and move around to in the school not on the quick nav menu. Things I only found my swiping the mouse across the screen repeatedly to scan. (FIX: add every location to the quick nav menu).
My main issue is still knowing what to do. The "Story" section in my eyes at this moment should not exist. it holds no useful information and can just be a portrait of the playable character in the "Quest" menu instead of its own separate menu. Everything useful is in the quests area. This is where it becomes a tiny rant.
Issues:
1. Clicking through multiple UIs just to see what I have to do next for a person is highly annoying.
2. There is no clear navigation in the quest menus. You select a character and by what I see there is nothing indicating what happens when you click anywhere. First time I ended up closing the game to get out of the menu due to only swapping between characters, which had no indication but you can still click the invisible portraits of the other characters in the background. Then I just randomly clicked top left by the day and it took me back.
3. There are too many characters to be having this convoluted of a quest log checking system.
FIX:
1. take it out of the menu and make it an interact-able like the map or time skip. Speaking of time skip, while you there please add a way to skip whole days since everything only happens on the weekends. Clicking skip time repeatedly just to go to sleep to do it all many more times in a row is annoying as well. Just make the bed always interact-able and have sleep always available as an option.
2. clearly place an X or a close button to people know where to click to leave.
3. If not all quests are made visible from the one screen just add arrows to navigate to next or previous character to see/check for quest updates.
