VN - Unity - Agent of Heels: Misadventures of Agent Romanov [v0.26.1] [beWilder]

Good concept and the storylines and characters are fleshed out well. The method of storytelling through comic book panels is interesting and I like the concept of the different story choices. However, the gameplay involved a lot of clicking through unavoidable dialogue and it was a bit annoying to get through scenes that were a bit boring. The fantastic renders do make up for it, so there are good rewards for getting through the game.

Cool concept. Some interesting plot points but overall falls through. Game is incredibly buggy and inconsistent. Models are average at best, lighting gets better over time, but the biggest problem is the text. There's way too much of it and most of it is just exposition and presented as if you are reading a novel instead of playing a graphic novel. The whole thing needs to be rewritten. Current state of the game is essentially a reading simulator.

If you are looking for a game with Black Widow (and other heroines and "heroines") then this isn't for you since this is actually comicbook/visual novel/motion comic instead game and player has very little to do on this.

Good graphics (what's why 2 stars) but no meat on those gaming wise.

One of the few top quality games on this forum, excellent work! Those renders are simply raises the bar pretty high. Dialogues are well written, scenes are well thought, and the main protagonist is just the most beautiful so far.

Always hard to adapt a protagonist for an adult vn but this is a good example it is not impossible without good result. Female protagonist is cool due to good adaptation she is hot and badass. The comic design is very creative and give a lot from the original authentic universe.

The story is a bit obvious but good, all the art is top quality both in charaters and locations.

While the story dosent have a slow pace, the way the game is formatted with having to click NEXT every 2-3 scenes and then sometimes having to rewatch a scene if you click repeat scene instead of the NEXT button which is overlayed on top of the repeat scene makes the game feel very slow paced.

I dont know why the creator decided to use an established charater and then change her backstory, isnt the whole point of using an established charater because they already have a backstory?

Unfortunately this game is brought down by its format, while i would play it once to see the story i wouldn't play it again, it has no rollback so if you miss a single sentence you have to rewatch the whole scene, text speed cant be changed and clicking can cause you to miss text unless you want to wait for every single piece of slow text to load on screen, then there are the saves that take you back to the beginning of a mission.

In short using the game for porn is very difficult because you have to start at the beginning of a mission then click to what you want to see but click too far and you have to start at the beginning again, going back and trying to take a different route in the game is equally as hard as the saves dont have pictures or descriptions and the "choice" is quite often most of the way through a mission so getting to it is a long and boring task(for a game) and then even with the fastforward you still need to click the NEXT every 2-3 scenes so skipping is out, you essentially have to replay the entire game for every choice instead of being able to just skip to new content.

The story and art could rate four stars but in its format the game has no use as adult content and no replayability.

Excellent production values and I love the story board style. But it's all ruined by bad mission and progression structure.

The UI is clunky as hell. No text skip and the fast forwarding is very fidgety. It's also very short at the moment.

But the worst by far is marriage of open world time-and-day cycle with a finite number of days. Good luck playing this without a walkthrough. You'll have hardly any idea what you're doing to trigger events and everything feels random and forced on you as a result. Shit just sort of randomly happens or becomes available until you run out of days and the game abruptly ends. Totally unsatisfying gameplay experience for me. Oh, you wasted 4 afternoons swimming and jogging in the park when there were no more events there? Tough. Didn't check the suburbs on the one day the warehouse quest was available? Too bad.

If this is bad now, imagine when the game gets bigger. It's a real shame as there are some really hot scenes in there. It's just that finding it - or knowing what you're missing out on - is made so obscure. Just look at the handful of fairly recent reviews where the reviewers mention "no sex scenes". There absolutely are several smoking scenes in this. It's just that you could very easily miss them all if you don't happen to check by a certain place on the specific time and day a certain event just happened to be available, based on something you did previously.

so i played the game (so far? ) till the point where they investigate files and mc helped out catwoman with that monster and met this poison ivy girl and this is my current opinion atm:

Pros:
+ really nice mainscreen
+ solid, really good renders
+ nice and professional menue (even i couldn't save somehow)
+clear HUD/view
+ solid looking female char (could be even curvier imo and i like the face of that neighbour niece more tbh)
+ great written dialogue

Cons:
- female characters are solide and quite sexy but not my taste (not pretty and curvy enough)
- too much text (sorry) at some points i just clicked and clicked and clicked through
- no sexual content yet (at least i found none)
- most male chars - except the monster and the neighbour and some of that gentleman club look boring
- don't like that comic style even it looks professional and creative

This game doesn't need animtions and it has many great things, but i thought its further in development when i get my hands on it. the masssive amount of text which might be necessary is too time consuming and exhausting too read - especially if you have not too much decisions and no sexual action.
the girls look okay and for some amazing or pretty, but they are for me personally just solid (which means slightly above average)

Agents Heels is an unfortunate victim of it’s own success.

The game starts strong, and quickly enters a nice period of good balance between plot development and free roam, with Skill checks and the ability to trigger individual plotlines keeping the player engaged.

However, as the game progresses, it’s starting to lose sight of its original vision. The neighbours plotlines are all but abandoned. Skill checks and player choice become sparse. The plot switches focus from sexual corruption to a very heavy and very generic hero backstory, and becomes increasingly more linear, with the player being offered one of the three routes, but with little variation besides that. I dread to think how it will develop from now on.

Definitely a game you should try, but temper your expectations.

Very, very good game. Love the style, renders, and storytelling. Play it a few times using different choices, as they can make all the difference how the game plays out and what kind of content you get to see. Finally a game where decisions truly matter.

the problem is walls of text that after a bit I get tired of reading. to keep the excitement I need more teasing, tension, eroticism and sex. but here I need to read a story that after a bit I simply dont give a crap about. sure she is hot and I want to see her fuck, but even in the sex scenes I just skip ahead. bad camera and no animation is not helping this at all.

when I rate a game is about the "enjoyment", not about quality of render, good coding, music, sound etc. I want to be pleased, not get bored and irritated.

I never type review unless i love something and i love this game

The game is messy, poorly structured with little pornographic content. However, a vast amount of high quality soft-core CG’s.

The major problem, that is a problem of most western pornography: it is almost impossible to tell how much porn is coming or when. This game, specifically, has porn events that happen inside of its stat improving mechanisms. And, worst of all, is the random points at which enormous exposition is dumped on you. There is no logic and flow to when the porn will happen, even when using a guide. This makes the game un-“playable”.

Have you ever read any excerpts of “man writes woman” the writing often feels un-natural. And this game attempts to narrate everything, from the actions of the character through to the feelings and sensations of the character, with the depth of description you would expect from a book. You will find yourself speed reading through the very dense story content.

The cg’s in this game are amazing, as softcore porn this is a great game. However, only 10% of playtime involves any real action, and from what I played (up to v.11) most of the content lack creativity. For example (Mild spoilers): our protagonist find herself on a yatch working as a prostitute. A perfect opportunity for some humiliation, degradation, and generally all-round perversion. But, via some convoluted writing logic, the corruption path leads to sex with the male protagonist. Where is the risk! So much potential and very little creativity.

The game needs to spend more time in it’s sex scenes, and use it’s amazing CG’s for them. With that said, the major saving grace, is that the game is carried by how good the CG’s are.

The IP is the only reason this game get's it's high rating. Superhero porn uses the most competent and attractive women, which provides an edge to every event like no other.

Finally, the lack of an unlock gallery (or any sort of guide by the creator) makes it hard to gage how many scene's are actually worth finding.

The visuals and story are well done. Sex scenes are rare and few. The stat system needs to be used more. It feels like it was added and then quickly forgotten.

The game utterly fails as an adult XXX title. If you are here for the sex, look elsewhere!

The game is on version 0.12. The author is working on two games at once and alternating development time between them which slows progress of this game down.

I would rate the game higher if it was the author's primary focus and had more sex events and a stat system that really made a difference in the game.

The story and the visuals do make the game worth playing.

The author does have the potential to turn this into a 5 star game if enough work and love is put into it.

I reviewed this game a year ago and have some additional thoughts.

First, thank you for the new content! It really shines and is well done!

Warning: Some spoilers below

Pros

• The skill system has been improved quite a bit.
• The story keeps you guessing and is also largely about the agent's personal life.
• The story no longer locks you into doing certain things all the time. The story is more relaxed with free days to do whatever you choose. The events are waiting for you and the player doesn't feel rushed!

Cons

• The skill increases are too random. Some do not apply to the situation. I would prefer if the skills weren't chosen randomly. You can basically get any skill increase doing any activity so it is difficult to work on specific skills.
• Some skills hardly ever get boosted such as subtlety and power.
• There still aren't very many skill checks in the game (I only remember 2-3). I know it's a visual novel but all these skills you are building need to be integrated into the game. For example with the gun deal there could be many checks for agility, intelligence (with the acting), strength/power with knocking the guy to the floor, etc. The game really needs these skills integrated in much better. I don't mind failing in a game. There should be a small chance of failure throughout the game. The higher the skill the less chance you fail a skill check.
• English is good but not great. There are plenty of misused words, misspelled words, and missing words throughout the dialog and text. You really need a native English speaker to review and update all the text for the game. I know a few players offered to help with this for free in the past and you've turned all of them down for some reason.
• The game tries to hit too many fetishes. I was turned off with the grandpa content so I bypassed it. At least I had a choice in the matter. I wish I would have had the choice to kiss his granddaughter though instead of being forced to do it. I wish I would have had the choice to pull the trigger in the gun deal scene (didn't know if there was a bullet in the chamber or not).
• The player is groped and treated like a sex object a lot in the game and the player almost always has to go along with it. I wish there was an option to move away or slap the offender in many cases. It is impossible for the player not to be a slut in this game. The player has no self-respect or standards.
• Nearly all of the sex scenes involve BDSM to some degree. The player never really instigates the sex for the most part. In nearly every case the sex starts out somewhat forced and then once the player starts feeling pleasure it turns mutual. I love the BDSM content but it is overused in this game (my opinion of course). I recommend finding other clever ways to get the agent into sexual situations.

The game is a 4 out of 5 for me. I really enjoyed the new content! The writing is the best part of the game and the graphics are well done! I was pleasantly surprised with how much content you added since my first review.

If you want to turn this into a 5 star game fix all the cons above. I estimate that it would take a good three months to implement (I have some software development experience).

Sex scenes are fantastic, game is worth playing cause of them alone. Story hold it together and character's, dialouges, mc monologue are beliveable which is suprising for a porn game. Really, as a visual novel, this is top shelf stuff.
Unfortunately all is wraped up in terrible and unnecessary sand box mechanics and not so great game engine. Grinding stats doesent fit narrative at all and substracts from whole experience.

An action oriented erotic novel

Well, this game is pretty good overall, but it might not be suitable for everyone.

--- Chara Design :
The Heroines are pretty cool, quite badass. You play a female MC, which is quite rare. Renders are great.

--- Story :
The story is interesting and quite epic. You just have to deal with the tons of text

--- Sex/Animations :
That part is a bit weak. The quality of renders save the day, but otherwise there are no real animations.

--- Contents :
The contents are pretty solid. There are some choices and stuff to do.

I would say this game qualifies more as a erotic novel,than as a sex/fap game.
In fact there is a lot of text, probably too much text for 99% of people.
Very often, I feel that some texts are unecessary as they only describe what you already see in the picture/render. Although it is very well written, it is not really what we expect by playing that game, and I think 99% of people doesn't bother to read anymore after 3-4 clics, and then lose pieces of the plot by doing so, as the important parts are drowned into massive loads of words.

In my opinion, reducing to a minimum all the text in white (description and narration), and keeping the dialogues as it is, would be very beneficial to that game and would attract a larger player base. But I admit if some of you like erotic novels and enjoy reading sexy descriptions, well this game is for you.

The perfect game in my opinion. Though considering two years of development in this game, the content looks less.

The written text is very good as well as the pictures.
This game does not need any animations IMO as every picture of it feels good and smooth transition between reading text and the pictures. Most of the games use a to and fro animation which will deteriorate the game. All of the scenes are of high quality and detail especially in the sex scenes where we get the feeling why are exploring the scene slowly and slowly rather straight on having a sex animation. Quality>quantity.

I see this game has 1.5 gb did you forget to put at least a sex scene in it, i mean ok she does not jump on the first cock she can see but to play a whole damn story to watch a black guy fucking his girl, and then some sexy screens is this an erotic game i have to propose F95 to make a special button for erotic games and it should be called garbage, as a game tester in real life i feel annoyed for wasting time to play this.

O my God, this really is one of the hottest games out here. Since I am not into Marvel comics, it took me some time to realise that this game is a parody to well-known superheroes. Or rather a very lewd story set in a superhero universe. My lack of knowledge did not stop me from enjoying this game.

The female protagonist, Natasha (Nat) Romanov, is a very capable secret agent, being corrupted by mysterious forces. She looks like Scarlett Johannson, so I don’t think anyone could object to her appearance. She is a steaming hot redhead. My only concern with her is that I am convinced she is a psychopath. But aren’t all secret agents psychopaths? To paraphrase Mae West: If Nat has a gun in her pocket, she is happy to use it.

Agent of Heels is an example of excellent storytelling, it absorbed me from the beginning. I advise anyone to read it all, even though it is quite a lot. It is very rewarding.
The layout of the artwork resembles comic books, which adds to the experience of a comic parody. The other female characters, in particular the neighbour’s granddaughter, wicked young Kate, and knock-off Lycra wearing Catwoman, are just as weirdly appealing as the main character. The male characters fit perfectly in the type of story that is being told.

If you define sex as penetration, there is not much of it in this game yet [0.10.5b], but I think the photoshoot with Nat and Kate and the dance contest you can let Nat participate in, are horny as hell without even getting very physical. In both cases it is not what Nat does, that makes it hot, but what she might have done if she were given the chance.

I noticed that the developers are actively present on f95zone.

Can’t wait for the next update.
