Unity - Completed - AI Shoujo [R15] [Illusion]

So this game has beautiful animations and a nice atmosphere with a separated island. It feels like a "Aritificial Girl 2" kind of game, where you are on an island with a few waifus. The game feels a bit grindy too, so for that reason it does not get 5 stars. Still, the graphics and customizibality are great.

Pros:

• Amazing Animations: The best you'll find in any game.
• Stunning Models: Beautiful characters without any uncanny valley creepiness.
• Great Character Customization: Tons of options to personalize your experience.
• Fully Voiced: Excellent voice acting, though it's in Japanese.
• Free Roam/Sandbox: Explore and play at your own pace.
• Lots of Mods: Plenty of mods available to enhance and expand the game.

Cons:

• Terrible Optimization: Low FPS and long load times can be frustrating.
• Grindy Gameplay: Gameplay can feel shallow and repetitive.
• Lack of Story: No story, romance, or teasing—just straightforward sex, so you'll need to use your imagination to fill in the gaps.

there are no better alternatives. I know that the price is insane but that doesn't concern me and anyone who uses this site. The only competitors are the other games that illusion makes.(Please if you can name competitors)

Everyone else has mentioned the preformance problems, but my point of contention's gotta be the reactivity of everything.
every girl exists in a bubble for lack of a better term: there's no relationship between them at all, it's them and you. it's not a harem situation, it's 3 separate monogamous relationships happening at the same time.
If you get certain stats up, the girls will go off and fuck each other in some random out-of-the-way spot, but this has literally 0 ramifications on anything which feels really, really weird. it happens, but you can't interact with them while it's happening and they won't react to your presence , care you saw, or have any dialogue relating to it even though it's the only real interaction they'll ever have with eachother outside standing still doing canned animations while muttering "is that so?" to each other.
it's been this way with illusion's more sandbox-types for a while and i'm naive to hope otherwise at this point, but AA2 is ancient at this point and wasn't even that complicated behind the curtains in terms of how it all functioned; the fact it's still the best-in-class at what it does a decade later confounds me.

The fact to create your base, survive, and add lewd content is great idea.

Graphic are really beautiful, animation really clean and customisation of character insane. Keep going !

Well I liked the exploration and crafting idea but the open world, interactions and the sex scenes are just so underwhelming. Just go play Artificial Academy 2 or Honey Select or Koikatsu, any other Illusion game, don't bother trying this one.

Runs like absolute ass. Very unoptimized which is unfortunate because otherwise the experience would have been quite good. Idk how long it will take for them to optimize it but it seems like illusion is very bad at optimization when it comes to 3D style

AI Shoujo is one of the better Illusion games in that you actually do have more going for it than "make a girl and fuck her." The game is a lite diet Coke exploration game where you gather resources to build new items for a camp, and finding resources to better your equipment and get better things for the girl you have with you.

The story of the game is that you play as a guy (default in appearance or custom made) who wakes up on a beach with no recollection whatsoever and that he was awoken by a woman who you have as either the default female character or whatever custom one you make. From there you get a short and brief tutorial on how to play the game. Beyond that, it's a slowburn in exploring the island and the only way to get further is finding stuff, improving your stuff, and improving your relationship with the mysterious girl. There are other characters but only one is unique in that she's a merchant and treasure hunter you can fuck. The others are girls you find in pods that mean they're either androids of some kind or women you woke up from cryosleep. I don't know, I didn't bother much since people recommend holding off on waking them until much later.

Sex in the game is a bit more free form in that furniture you craft can be used for sex and you can change locations in an area you are having sex in. Certain traits you find that you can give to the girl can affect how receptive she is to certain sexual positions.

Oddly enough, the exploration of the game with the third area was more interesting for me than the sex despite this being one of the few 3D games I could play to indulge in human males on female anthro/orc/whatever else besides human. The washed up town portion of the game with its music made me more interested in wanting to know why such a place was a flooded wreck and the lab beneath it which you sadly can't explore beyond the starting room made me feel like Illusion was onto something better if they bothered to expand it. Instead you'll never get any resolution whatsoever.

In short, the game has the most depth in all the titles Illusion made since the first Honey Select due to giving the player freedom to explore even with it being a shallow sense of exploration and being bogged by crafting. I do recommend the game if you like the idea of making characters and letting them have sex, especially with mods and creativity from others allowing you to fuck non-human women such as orcs and anthros in whatever shelter you're able to build but other than that, the game had some wasted potential with it's story.

You're gonna see a lot of reviews mentioning the poor graphics performance. It's not just poor, it's an atrocity of extreme lag even on minimal settings and with good hardware. Devs should be ashamed to release it in this state and keep it like that.

Here we are now, it's 2022, we're all playing it on PCs from the future. Guess what, it still lags something terrible.

Maybe in another 10 yrs we will be able to play this without the distateful lag, but that would require the game to have something in it that would stand the test of time and make someone want to play it then. Which it doesn't, it's very shallow gameplay wise and gets old fast.

I freaking love this game so far! I can't believe it has a 3.5 rating in here. I was very skeptical before choosing this game at first (because of the rating) but i'm glad i've ignored the stars! I understand it is an animal crossing type of game and the action is very minimal. I'm also not a fan of those type of games but the h-scenes really compensate the boring part of the game. The realism is there and it is intense which is a must for any porn game enthusiast. The game reminds me of house party realism-wise (which i believe is where porn games should be heading to). I only wish it was english dubbed but i'm getting used to the actual voices. I absolutely adore the dusk soundtrack from the second area (after fixing the bridge), it is breathtaking!

Nice game with lots of action to play. You control a man and look after 4 girls on the island. Great character editor with many variations. You can build houses and arrange furniture there. You can develop the character of girls and bring up the traits you want in them.

I wish more games put this much effort in sexy females (looks and voice acting); good idle animations and sex animations.

The game has some flaws: bad performance and gameplay isn't very fun. But if I save 5 stars only for perfect games, I wouldn't be fair, because no game is perfect and I set the bar very low for adult games.

It could be better, but this is the direction I think most people want Illusion to go!

Illusion has been making "games" that look terrific for years. They just never really had any gameplay...at least not since some of their early games. Now, the gameplay here isn't breathtaking. Its a rather basic gathering/building game with dating and minor story elements. But its still hours of gameplay where most other Illusion games are straight to the sex, and you've seen everything before you've been in more than 2 hours.

I hope Illusion takes their next game a step further and doesn't backslide into pretty but boring sex simulators.

This game is absolutely great if you want to customise models and pose erotic scenes with it!!! You cand super-customize the ladies and then pose them in any environment. It's great but it takes some time to invest. If you like the studio aspect of the game, get it for sure! But the single player game is a bit weak. Definately not a worthwhile experience.

This game is a very mixed bag. Gameplay elements like gathering, upgrading, crafting, building, raising girls stats can suck you in for hours... Until you unlock everything you want or need and realize how hollow suddenly everything is. Interactions with girls are very limited, rebuilding the island is impossible, there is no deeper story with all this sci-fi stuff to uncover. Its a good game but the content ends abruptly. As a sidenote, remember R-Life? Has similiar concept, I hope that it will surpass this game one day since Illusion gave up on improving and expanding anything.

This is just plain awful. First off the graphics are subpar for how much of a strain it puts on your system. Next off the gameplay is extremely over complicated at times and there is pretty much no story. Combine these two things with the fact that it constantly crashes and the load times are Witcher 3 length and you get a game that needs an insane amount of work before its even playable. I'm genuinely shocked at how many good reviews this has gotten.

I really liked this game and the only very big drawback is the optimization, it is not there, which is very sad. the most impressive thing about this game is its graphics, with the development of technology we should have already seen a lot of full-fledged 3d projects, but unfortunately we only see scraps of screenshots wrapped in renpy or another "engine" making these screenshots as "game". Because I was pleasantly surprised to see this game with, though not ideal, but a 3D world, physics and even some kind of story!

Nice game for have sexy waifus in your own island. Juicy graphics and funny to play exploring, gathering (not too much), crafting, building and dont forget the important sex and more sex with the sexy waifus.

Actually was updated a lot and have some good stuff for build in the island and lot of cards of sexy waifus if have patience for find.

I totally recommend it if have a decent PC for gaming!

Given its status as a de facto successor to AG3, AI Shoujo is extremely underwhelming with lack of improvements or even downgrades more than 10 years later after its predecessor, largely owing to a confusing attempt to gain a more mainstream appeal of sorts by chopping off sexual components... as a smut game.
